Duke winced at the words Irene had said, instantly unwrapping his arms from Chira's waist, stalking out of the room. He past Sherlock's room, pounding on it once, though he knew that Holmes was-in fact- up. He was just working on an experiment.

Irene was behind Duke in an instant. "So he is up," Irene muttered to him. "Damn."

"Whatever." Duke replied, brushing her off. He avoided eye contact, knowing that after last night, she would eventually go back to Sherlock.

"What. Ever." Duke sneered, walking into his room and closing the door behind him. He didn't bother locking it, hoping Irene would have the common sense not to come in. But he knew she would, and hoping didn't do anything to deter that.

"And you think a closed door would stop me?" Irene said as she twisted the doorknob and opened the door. "What's your problem? Mood swings?" Her eyes turned to Holmes. "Morning, Sherlock," She said before looking back at Duke.

Duke stopped dead in his tracks, turning to her. His eyes were suddenly unforgiving, his demeanor from care-free and fun loving to hostile. "Obviously last night was the worst mistake of my life." He sneered. "I mean, who am I to think someone like you could show any amount of affection, unless you're with Holmes, of course." |

Irene had tears welled up in her eyes by now from frustration. "Maybe I liked that more than I should've. Maybe I really wanted that. Maybe I thought you did, too."

((Aw, me too! I like Holmes too though. With all his invisibleness)) Chira eyed the two of them leave the kitchen. "Wow. You really never can tell with those two." They came back, happy, and she slid some bacon onto their plates. "Eggs and toast are coming next."
