Hawkmask nodded to Rainfeather. "Of course. And congradulations on deputy." looking at Panthergaze who was beside her she smiled. "Wanna go hunting? If not I can always find two others." 

Crimsonfang padded towards Rainfeather and purred "Congrats. I think you'll do an amazing jo as deputy." smiling nervously he hoped she wouldn't claw his face right off.

 Nightfang chuckled lightly at Nightfalls questions. "No she can't. And Starclan works in mysterious ways little one." purring in amusement he said no more but he stayed with her for his own reasons.

Rainfeather dipped her head to Hawkmask, "Thanks," she meowed, sounding a little awkward, then padded off knowing hunting would be under control. Then Rainfeather turned around to be faced to face woth Crimsonfang, after he finished meowing, Rainfeather flicked her ears, "er... Thanks..." she meowed, she sat down, "This is going to be so hard.." she murmured. Most cats still expected her to be an experienced deputy, But.... I am only 20 moons old! How can I be an experienced deputy?

Nightfall began her and Fernseeds, journey. Okay, well....  she even had trouble thinking,  Fernseed is going to leave soon.... she thought to herself, Then my life is different.

Panthergaze dipped his head as he'd seen other cats do to higher ranking cats as Rainfeather padded over. Something about bowing down to anyone made his bristle slightly, but Rainfeather was not a opponent he'd want to tangle with, particularly with those claws...as the new deputy padded off, Panthergaze sighed wearily and looked towards Hawkmask, wondering if she'd want him to hunt with her. To his delight she did and the wqhite tom nodded happily. "Of course, it'll be good to hunt with friends." Stretching his limbs the tom waited for her to pick the third cat.

Slinking back towards what she knew was the clan camp, the unnamed she-cat sniffed the air dramatically,  fur prickling in delight as a small shape padded towards it, ears drooped in defeat. A wicked grin curved her muzzle and she wondered what this light, tugging feeling in her heart was. She pushed it aside, not knowing that it was guilt flashing through her. A tiny tom, no larger then kits of her group, padded from the bushes, a limp in his front paw. Crouching low, long claws sinking into the ground, she pounced, body flying easily through the air and crashing harshly onto the other cat. A muffled yowl of pain and anger ripped through the tom as she pinned him to the ground, long claws sinking deep into his shoulders. Fear flashed through his face and muzzle opened in a silent wail of agony. She sniffed, not detecting much clan scent on him, instead he carried the same scent as many of the cats she'd gotten help from on her journey. "Not clan." She spat and Starpaw flinched as the jagged, hardly recognizable words. "Please don't kill me!" He wailed, and the she-cat hissed, baring long fangs. She got off, leaving gapping wounds in Starpaw's side and shoulders, fur hanging off in clumps. Slinking back into the shadows she would wait for her next victim. 

Fernseed watched as Nightfall seemed to be lost in her dreams even though she was awake and moving. I wonder what she saw, hopefully not something bad. I do not want to leave her so vulnerable, even thought she is strong. With a heavy heart the medicine cat looked into the pool and touched her nose to the water, not letting the sleep of dreams over come her. "I relinquish my ti
tle as medicine cat of Iceclan over to my former apprentice. She has trained well and will take care of her clan for many seasons to come." Thought there was no ritual about giving up her ti
tle, something felt right about her words and as she looked into the milky waters she swore she saw Rosestar in all of her glory smiling gently back at her. Perhaps this was the right choice. Licking her apprentices head she grinned warmly. "You are now medicine cat Nightfall, and clearly Starclan accepts you. So now it is time to say my farewells." Without another words the former medicine cat padded out of the Moonpool and towards a nearby two-leg nest, knowing that without a clan two-legs would be her best option. Goodbye, and good luck.

Rainfeather was in no mood to spit over Crimsonfang, she just used his soothing like a kit. "Thanks.." she meowed, I really hope Iceheart won't come back.. she thought then shook the thought from her head.But what Falconeyes said happened, I am the new deputy of IceClan...

"Starpaw!!" meowed Windprint and he ran over to his apprentice. "Come on, we need to see Fernseed!" he helped his apprentice up, and began steadily walking him back to camp. "Cardinalpaw!" he called, and the older apprentice came out of the bushes with a squirrel in his mouth. "Run to the camp and tell Eaglestar, or Rainfeather that something attacked Starpaw."  Cardinalpaw looked confused, then looked at Starpaw's gash, "Kay." he meowed then dashed off, with-ought looking back. "Now tell me Starpaw, what did this thing look like?"

"Good bye Fernseed.." meowed Nightfall, and she began padding back to her camp. 

"Nightpaw!" meowed Nightfang, Nightfall looked around then remembered, Right, you are in my head. What is it? she asked him silently, "I scence fear near the camp, please get back there as soon as you can." Nightfall looked at the path ahead of her, even though she couldn't see it. "Fine." she meowed, then hurdled back to the IceClan camp.

((She is in the camp naow..)) 

 Cardinalpaw looked around nervously, then spotted the White spotted pelt of Rainfeather, "Rainfeather!" he meowed while running up to the tall deputy, "Something attacked Starpaw," he meowed in between panting, Rainfeather gave the apprentice a slight nod, then ran over to Hawkmask, who was just leaving the camp, "Hawkmask." she meowed, "Starpaw was attacked, and we don't know what did it, Please be careful." she meowed then padded into Eaglestar's den to tell her the bad news.

Starpaw shivered slightly as another cat brushed against him, voice echoing through his ears yet they made little to no sense. All he could see was blood red fur, huge claws, and vicious amber eyes. He blinked a tiny wail escaping his lips as the pain from his wounds throbbed furiously. Suddenly Windprint's face came into his focus and he tried to concentrate on his mentor. "I..it was a c...cat." He stammered, trying op push himself to his paws. It was one of the largest cat i'v ever seen besides for Cheetahwind. Looking up as more cats padded over, he tried to remember exactly what she said. "A she-cat, thats what attacked me. Except she was m*censored*ive, with claws to rival Rainfeather's and cold, unintelligent eyes. She said something like 'not clan' but I could hardly recognize the words. Almost as if she did not know how to talk." He shivered at the memory of the power that slammed him around like prey. "She wanted to kill me, until she realized I was not a clan cat." Head hanging in defeat, Starpaw wanted nothing more then to curl up in his den and sleep the pain and shock off. "C..an I go to my den now?" He whispered, shifting his weight from his injured limb. 

The blood red she-cat sat in the bushes as cats hurried over to the tiny tom she had attacked, her eyes shining in hatred. Die clan cats. One-by-one. Sinking her long claws into the ground, she tried to envision which cat she wanted to attack first. The she-cat with longer claws then her own seemed like a pretty good fight, something she would enjoy. Then again there was the smaller cat ((Windprint)) that would be little challenge but it would mean one down with few wounds. Her lips curled back into a sly smile. Getting up, crouching slightly still, she bunched her powerful hind legs and leap with a vicious yowl aimed for the tom, claws unsheathed. But her smaller front paws hit a branch wrong in her leap and she landed awkwardly beside her query, skidding to keep from falling over in a heap. She hissed coldly and aimed a blow towards his face. "Clan cat, pay now." She snapped, words clipped and unfocused. 

Panthergaze bunched his muscles to bolt over to Starpaw, heart hammering a million miles per hour. What happened? Is Starpaw okay. When Hawkmask started padding away he jerked his head back and forth between two of the most important cats in his life. On one hands Starpaw could be dying, but on the other Hawkmask could be next to be attacked. He finally gave a defeated sigh and followed Hawkmask, knowing he'd be able do more with protecting her then he could with the injured apprentice. Following, the white tom sniffed the air for any sign of an enemy. A prey scent, mouse, reached his nose and he crouched into a stalking position, tail stiff as he glided across the ground. The little creature was idly eating a beech nut, not knowing the cat was right upon him until it was to late. Grinning slightly, having finally caught something for the starving clan, Panthergaze quickly trotted back to the patrol.

Hawkmask padded around keeping check for this intruder. Sniffing the air her mind was buzzing with worry. But not for herself. Her clan her friends and most definately Starpaw. Even though she hardly new much about him she felt like an older sister and didn't want to lose him to the she cat. Rustling bursted through the bushes and she jumped in fear. Noticing she had lost a rabbit she looked down in embar*censored*ment hoping none of the cats saw that. Looking around again she snuck up on a squirrel. Waiting she pounced but landed one paw short of her prey and landed face first in the snow. "Ow." Sitting up she huffed and shivered and hoped the others were having better luck then her.

Painfullpaw padded about and had only caught a small thrush. Sniffing about he padded a bit more not leaving the two older cats sight.  Why is it so hard to catch prey? This isn't normal. Ya sure leaf bare is tough but never like this. Theres hardly enough prey to feed a kit. Starclan why are you doing this? Did we do something wrong? Is it because of Hawkstar and some of the others for thinking fighting is an only option? Looing about he sniffed the air and listened for anything.

Blackwolf padded about the camp and growled. Looking at Starpaw heading to the medicine cats den he grinned darkly. Perhaps I can do this clan a favor and lessen the load of cats. Smirking he padded to the den and waited for it to be dark.

Windprint looked at Starpaw, "blood red fur.." he meowed, "Anyways, I will have Fernseed fix you, now, just lay down here.." he meowed, and put Starpaw on a nest in the medicine cat den. He padded back out of the camp to see if he could find any hints. 

 Then Windprint stared in horror of the Cat that Starpaw had explained, "you!" he meowed, then backed away slowly. Windprint's fur began to bristle and he knew that he would never be any match for a cat of this size. He pelted his way back to the camp, "He-help, Cat that attacked..... Starpaw.... Need warriors......." he gasped loudly, knowing that he just led this cat into the Camp. 

Rainfeather heard Windprint's loud meowed, "I can come." she meowed, "Now, where is this cat?" Then Windprint led her to the entrance of the camp and about 2 tree lengths further.  Rainfeather's fur bristled, and she unsheathed her long huge black claws, and dug them into the sand as she walked, I don't care if any cat see's them, she thought and waited away from the camp with Windprint, her long legs tensed, and her fur was fluffed up making her looked just as big as Cheetahwind. You are Pheonixstar's and Iceheart's daughter, show this cat that you can be menacing. Rainfeather's piercing Ice blue eyes, were sparking with fear and anger, making them look even more ghostly, "This cat won't beat us today..." she murmured, But that may not be true...

 Nightfall Padded into the camp, the smell of blood was in the air, Oh no, not more please! she pleaded in her mind, and padded to her den to find the small Apprentice Starpaw. "Oh my," she meowed then she smelt his wound, "Give me a second..." she meowed, then padded into her den and grabbed some moss, daisy, and cobwebs. As she chewed up the daisy, she soaked up some of the blood with her piece of moss, then she put her chewed up daisy on the cats shoulder scratch, letting the juices seep into it. "Remember me? " she asked to the apprentice, not long ago, she had argued with him, "I am a full medicine cat now," she meowed, slowly putting the cobwebs on top, "My name is Nightfall." she continued, then padded back into her herb store to put the extra moss away, "Now, try and get some rest, I will be here when you wake up."

The red she-cat bolted after Windprint, but due to her larger size and longer back legs she was not near as fast. Paws scrabbling to stop herself from running flat out into Rainfeather the blood red cat stopped short of the other she-cat and hiss furiously. This was one of the few cats she had dreaded fighting against. Thought most cat seemed to look towards toms as being the better fighters, she-cats were the more vicious of her group and feared by the opposite gender. So the clan to her must be the same way. And this long clawed silver cat looked to be one of the more powerful of Iceclan. Taking a step back she evaluated Rainfeather before her attack, sinking long, but shorter then Rainfether's, claws into the snowy ground, leaving eight holes. "Why you kill, clan cat?" She spat, wanting answers as to her groups demise. "Why kill group?" Though her words were short and jabbered she hoped they made sense. "Will pay now."

Starpaw blinked away the fuzziness of his shaken mind as the blind cat walked in, speaking softly towards him. Was she not growling and hissing at me the last time we talked? He shook his head as she dressed the wound. "I remember you yes. But because your full medicine cat now does that mean Fernseed won't come back?" He asked softly, voice squeaking slightly. He did not need her answer before he looked down. He'd not seen Fernseed return, so he guessed not. "Oh. Well I'll miss her, but" He paused and looked at the blind medicine cat. "Something tells me you'll take her place nicely." Yawning, the tiny cat curled his nose into his tail and tried to sleep. Something in his mind nagged him thought. Why had Panthergaze not come to see him?
