As Rainfeather watched her Clan get ready fro Eaglestar’s vigil, she noticed Nightfall padding up to her with some herbs in her mouth. “Here,” she meowed, her pale blue eyes clouded with sadness. “Mistsoul and Gentleheart are staying in the Camp, it is my duty to take you to Moon pool.” She finished. “So let it be.” Rainfeather murmured to herself, looking around the camp she noticed the ebony colored warrior, Swiftdarkness. “I will be right back, I need a cat to look after the camp.” She meowed, to Nightfall and dashed off. “Swiftdarkness,” she meowed, “Can you look after the camp while I am gone?” she asked her silver fur slightly ruffled. Not waiting to hear if he said ’yes’ or not she dashed off and called, “Thanks!” to him.
Finding that Nightfall was at the Camp entrance, she padded up to her and grabbed the herbs she had told her to eat. Snoring down the fowl tasting leaves, she meowed, “Lets go.” Nightfall gave a frightened jerk, but them began to pad out of the camp. I must have scarred her, she is blind after all. Raifeather reminded herself.
Padding outside of the IceClan territory, Nightfall preyed that no FireClan patrols would see them as they padded toward the moon pool. Rainfeather spooked me, I thought it was the cat that Murdered Eaglestar. She thought then shook the uneasy feeling from her soft black pelt. As Nightfall felt the cold night winds advance, she knew that the sun was just setting. “We left at the right time.” She meowed to Rainfeather, feeling a tiny bit awkward that her mother’s sister was becoming Leader of a Clan.
After padding alongside Rainfeather, she heard the familiar sound and smell of the moon pool. “Rainfeather,” she meowed quietly, “You must go there alone,” Turning her pale blue gaze to where she thought the distance was, she meowed, “I am not aloud to come in with you, nor are you aloud to tell any cat about what you experience in your dream.”
Rainfeather looked at Nightfall, worry shook her like a badger shook the ground. “Touch your nose to the water, then the cats of StarClan will come to you.” She meowed, then lay down and kept her gaze on the setting sun. Giving Nightfall a curt nod, she padded into the beautiful area, she wondered what the experience would feel like. You will soon Find out. Leaning down to touch the star-filled water of the moonpool, she steadied her feet and was curious if StarClan would even accept her. “I don’t know…” she meowed, and then touched her nose to the icy water, and fell deep into sleep.
Rainfeather padded into a sandy Clearing, she could scent cats from other Clans. Looking ahead she seen the deep blue sky, and a dabbed moon in the middle of it, everything was fully grown, and plentiful. Feeling a slight burst of confusion, Rainfeather called “Hello?” Beginning to pad forward, she looked in front of her to see all the bright specks in the sky swirl together to create a group of amazing cats. Rainfeather took a step back. “Whoa….” Was all she could meow when she stood in awe of the amazing sight many cats would never see.
“Rainfeather,” meowed a black flecked red tom as he padded out of the crowd, “I am here, to give you your first life.” Rainfeather’s ice blue eyes widened as she seen her brother stand in front of her. “Redstorm…?” she choked out, her panic and shock kept her unmoving on the ground. Redstorm was not thin and weak like he was when she had last seen him, he was strong and lithe, like he used to be before his dreadful sickness. “I am here to give you your first life, we are here because of Eaglestar’s death, and I am one of the most proud cats in StarClan that you are receiving a life from me, and becoming leader of the Clan I loved so so much….” Rainfeather nodded, “Rainfeather, I present you with the life of Courage and fearlessness. “ he continued, “Use it to claim and lead your Clan into battles meant to win.” Stepping back, Redstorm dipped his head.
Tears flooded through Rainfeather’s eyes as she realized that she would never see this cat again till her time to join the Ranks of StarClan.
All of the sudden something spiked through Rainfeather, she shrieked and fell to the ground quivering. Shaking, she looked up at the StarClan cats who looked happy. Another strike of pain shocked her, and she felt like she was going to die, right there. Then it came by relief. A warm hungry feeling came by her, hungry for battles, and winning for the courage and pride of her Clan. Feeling as if she could lead herself into a battle against the best of TigerClan, she sat up again, keeping her back strait and claws unsheathed as the forcefull life raced through her. Looking into her brother’s bright green eyes, she saw sadness flash though them. “Use it wisely,” he murmured then padded up to her to touch noses with her, then walked back to the group of StarClan cats, keeping his striking gaze on her. Dipping her head to the StarClan warrior, she looked forward to see the cat that would step up next.

Timberfur padded over to Rainfeather and nodded to the soon to be leader. "With this life...I give you justice. Use this life to tell what's right and wrong and to do the best for your clan...even if it means breaking the warrior code." he stated and touched his nose to her head. Turning around he tilted his head to look at Rainfeather and she could see of his eye full of distress. Nodding his head again he went to his place and sat down.
Rainfeather felt the sadness flow off the old IceClan warrior, probably missing Ecohvoice. She thought right before the next life struck her.
Just as she thought, it did more forcefully than she thought. It ripped through her, like a badger’s claws ripping her fur. Shaking she ducked her head and fell again as the ferocity shot through her repetitively. Having the energy bolt through her, it felt like it was trearing her still. Unsheathing her long black claws into the soft gras.s, she winced at the last repetitive strike of angry pain.
Gasping, she steadied her icy blue gaze on the next cat that came up, she didn’t recognize this one. The cats crimson gaze rested on her, and she meowed, “Don’t you remember?” Rainfeather recognized the voice, but then the cat sat down in front of her. “My name is Ivynose,” she reminded her. Ivynose? Then memories flooded back to her of what she had done to this poor cat. Here eyes were healed, and bright red like Dovefire’s, and her pelt was groomed to be a glossy star-filled grey striped white coat. “With this life, I give you endurance.” She meowed her deep gaze held to the sky, “Use it to withstand all the needs of your Clan.”
Preparing for the next life, Rainfeather couldn’t help but think it would be horrible feeling as the first two.
A light but sharp feeling spread throughout her body, making her feel strong, and capable of anything. She felt warmth, and hit the spark of wanting to run through all the fields of StarClan with the same wonderful feeling never wearing out. The life ebbed away slowly, then Ivynose dipped down her head to touch noses with Rainfeather. “You will be a wonderful Clan leader, I am sorry about the things I believed and said about you.” She meowed, her light pelt shimmering and her crimson eyes glowing with tenderness. Turning, the she-cat padded away tot he group of pale lit StarClan cats.

Shimmering in the stars of Silverpelt, Leopardheart emerged from the group of gathered cats. His pelt glowed in a golden-hue, no silver like the others. It looked as though he swallowed the sun and his pelt had caught fire. True to his name, Leopardheart’s stripes and spots were as black as the darkest night and his golden, tan pelt was gleaming with health.
A regal air was in his movements as he padded forward with a confident ease. His head held high and his shoulders broadly set, Leopardheart’s topaz eyes were sharp and calculating. Dipping his head in respect, Leopardheart looked back up and blinked slowly, creating a pause. "Rainfeather," he meowed finally, in that familiar deep, honey-smooth rasp. "Under sad circumstances do we meet again."
Not one to dwell on the past or sadness, Leopardheart purred, "Trust yourself, you know more than you think you do." Pressing his nose to her forehead, Leopardheart meowed, "With this life I give you wisdom. Use it well to know when to listen to other or listen to your heart."
Stepping back, Leopardheart faded into the stars of Silverpelt.
