 Eaglestar spoke to Phoenix, "He is hapy because I am expecting kits speaking of whi-" she was cut off by Duskpaw bounding around the camo chasing a butterfly. She turned and said to the young apprentice, "Go back to the apprtnice den" Touching her nose to Redstorms ear she said, "I have to go speak to Fernseed" then dashed off.

Approaching the medicine den, Eaglestar sniffed, "Hello? Fernseed, are you here? I need to speak with you"

Fernseed reluctantly got up when she heard Eaglestar’s voice, Mistpaw you keep me sane. Walking out of her warm nest, with sluggish steps, Fernseed dipped her head in respect to Eaglestar. “What is it that ails you, Eaglestar?” the she-cat asked, but when she saw the glow to her cheeks Fernseed knew differently. “Oh, that’s definitely different. Do you already have stomach pains? I’ll go get some chervil berries.” Fernseed meowed thoughtfully. Walking into the medicine den, Fernseed drug her tail behind her with her ears drooping. What if I fail Eaglestar, like I did Falconwing. I knew that I needed Mistpaw, if only I had brought coltsfoot to begin with, that kit would be alive. Stopping in front of her stock Fernseed finally cried for the kit she failed to bring into this world. Oh little kit, live in peace. May the great plains of StarClan satisfy you, until your family comes to live with you. Pulling herself together, Fernseed wouldn’t let this get her down. There are three lovely kits in the queens den because of her quick work. Bringing the berries to Eaglestar, Fernseed ordered, “Rest. Falconwing had Swiftdarkness providing for her at any time of the day or night.” Cautiously Fernseed stated, “You should have Fallenwind guide the Clan until you have had your kits. I’m sure Falconwing would raise them after they’re born, then you could resume your duties."

((I thought that leader's and deputy, she-cats, couldn't have kit's. Because they are unable to guide their Clan. That's why Bluestar gave her kit's to Oakheart. Not sure but that's the prospective I used for Fernseed.))

((I think that might be true, but whatever. Drama. Drama was the point for Eaglestar having kit's and such, plus she had s dream. hoh hoh))

 "Thank you Fernseed" Eaglestar said dipping her head to eat the beries. Before leaving the den she turned and said to the young she cat, "Don't worry, every cat knows you did your best. There was nothing you could do to save the little kit." and she padded out and bounded over to Fallenwind, "I need you to take care of the camp."

After saying that brief deion of what was reall happening, Eaglestar bounded up to Highledge, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the Highledge for a clan meeting!" her voice rang out and she watched proudly as her clan came and settled beneth the tall rock. "Fallenwind will be the clans leader for a few moons and Leopardheart, would you be willing to be his second in command?"

Cougarclaw purred with delight at Eaglestar’s choice, he’s perfect for the job. I’m sure that our Clan will go just as smoothly with these two toms, as it has with Eaglestar. And he looks so taken aback, it’s not in his nature to be expecting. He defends his clan well with no demands in return, a true warrior. Watching Leopardheart compose himself, from his look of surprise to controlled excitement, Cougarclaw was happy to hear him say, “Of course Eaglestar. I will do it with StarClan helping me.” Yowling her approval Cougarclaw meowed to Leopardheart, “You lucky cat!” He gave her a bashful grin and said, “It’s only temporary and I’m glad to hear that Eaglestar is expecting.” Me too, I'm so happy that the Clan is going to have so many kits this spring. ."

((This is so cool! I was so excited that I couldn’t think straight, Leopardheart is so bashful that he would never expect this to happen. And I didn’t either, so I couldn’t write his reaction correctly, so I used Cougarclaw, but thanks East!~ And I know it's temporary but darn~ *wink*))

Silverthaw watched this all happen from the elders den. What a lovely Clan. If only my old Clan could have had a leader like any of these warriors, then maybe it would have grew. Sighing, Silverthaw got to her paws and started to walk away. On her way out she saw Patchpaw and Cheetahpaw coming back into camp. Smiling at Patchpaw she meowed, "Have a happy life little one. If you ever need me there's a twoleg barn near the edge of your boarder, you'll find me there." Seeing the hurt in the she-cat's eyes she added, "I love you. And don't feel sad, I need my space and it wouldn't be fair to the Clan if I stayed." Licking the top of her head, Silverthaw walked away.

((Misunderstood. I thought that they were going back to camp. As in Cheetahpaw convinced her to stay. =o Oops.))
