Jumping up from his nest where he had been thinking, Silentheart's mind instantly went on the alert. Bolting from the warrior's den, his blue eyes scanned the clearing for the warriors he thought best suited for the placed Ashfoot had directed him. I hope they listen to me, after all i'm new around here and do not hold any respect for most of these cats. Paws mindlessly taking him to Eaglestar's den, it took him a few leaps to make his way into the entrance where he stood looking over his shoulder as if an enemy was about to bust into the clearing at any second. "Something wrong, Swiftdarkness heard something and Ashfoot followed. He told me to get the clan ready for anything, and I don't think any of the other's will listen." He shuffled around uncomfortably. "I think Sunstripe and Emeraldrain would do good at the camp entrance as a first line of defense, and Rainfeather protecting the nursery. I don't know any better cat to do that job then a she-cat with long claws. Ravenfeather can watch over the medicine cats den and you this den. I'll stay in the center of camp and watch until I figure out where i'm needed the most. Does that sound good?" He asked breathlessly. Please Starclan don't let anything happen, not with so many cats dead as it is.

Sunflare wanted to yowl with delight as he noticed the dogs following him, already letting his adrenaline take over so it felt as if he was flying. Come on mangy mutts, keep coming after me and away from the camp. Looking desperately around for a tree branch low enough for him to climb, and was a bit shocked to see slippery oak trunks instead of life saving limbs. Muttering savagely under his breath he kept leading the dogs farther away, surprised when the hot awful oder of the lead dogs breath was right at his heels. Hissing, he tried to make himself go faster when a tree root caught his paw. Lurching forward, he waited for the dogs teeth to sink into his fur, instead the fall completely addled the poor dogs brains as he slipped under the leaders paws. The top dog tried to stop but instead was crashed into by the runner up, causing a dog-pile. Cackling maniacally, Sunflare finally found a safe tree not far away and shot up it, watching with satisfaction as the dogs tried to untangle themselves. I hope Midnightpaw's alright, I failed yet another cat. Looking at his blood tipped paw that had caught the tree root and ultimately saved his life, he wished it had been him attacked instead of the young apprentice. The dogs are not gone yet, that much I cant do alone.

Watching as the leaders started to disperse with their clans, Falconwing suddenly caught a wave if inertia, almost knocking her off her paws. Shaking her small head to clear her thoughts, she figured it was just a bad piece of prey, nothing to worry about. "How is everything Redpaw?" She asked kindly, looking down at the apprentice.

((Sorry if the cats Silentheart/Copperfire picked are at the gathering, I just picked cats that were on Easts post that told who was going and staying.))

Rainfeather padded through the forest by the camp, I can't sent what is wrong.... she thought to herself. She padded toward the outer forest. The gra.s crackled under her feet, leaf-fall is coming upon Iceclan. As she padded farther and farther into the Forest the sents of dog became more familiar.  "Dog." she meowed to herself echoing her thoughts. She followed the sent to find where it was coming from. She slid through a hazel bush and spotted movement, backing back into the Hazel bush, she looked forward and seen the m*censored*ive pelt of a dog. Its gaze swept over her but did not detect her. The dog began sniffing the ground then a twig snapped from behind it.  The dog quickly pricked its ears and looked around lifting its m*censored*ive head and snarling at whatever is in the bush. Rainfeather recognized the sent of the cat. Emeraldrain..  The dog still has its teeth drawn back in a snarl and Emeraldrain didn't pay any attention. She just walked through the bush minding her own business clearly not using her nose. The dog leaped on the spotted brown warrior and clamped its huge jaws down on her. "Emeraldrain!" yowled Rainfeather and she leaped onto the dog. The dog's huge paws pinned down Rainfeather and she struggled to get back up. Remembering Rosestar's training, she batted the dogs belly until it let go. "Run Emeraldrain!" yowled Rainfeather as she got out from the dogs grasp and noticed that Emeraldrain was sitting there in shock.  Emeraldrain took notice to Rainfeather's alert and ran through the bushes, Rainfeather pelted beside her. The dog was hot on there heals , making angry barking noises behind them. Rainfeather ran faster than she ever did before. They were doing fine until Emeraldrain tripped on a tree branch, "No!" yowled Emeraldrain and Rainfeather ran back to her, her anchle was twisted. "Great timing." Rainfeather muttered to herself. Noticing the dog was two tree lengths away she pushed Emeraldrain onto her back and ran to the camp. Rainfeather dropped Emeraldrain to the nursery and let Nightpaw and Gentlepaw take care of her.  "Warriors! Apprentices!" Yowled Rainfeather as she climbed the high ledge, "A dog is coming to the camp, and we need guards!" she yowled.   Okay, I will probably get in trouble from announcing something from high ledge, but I would rather have the dog not surprise the clan.

(( Attention Everyone who read the thing above ^^: There has been... well I believe 2 dog attacks... I need two others to attack and ONE dog to survive.... I have something planned for it... ))

"Good!" Continued Rainfeather as she looked around the camp, then she caught a glimpse of the dark colored pelt. "Its coming!! " she yowled and ran climbed down the side of high ledge. She pelted her way to the edge of the camp, but       surprised she stood shaken.  Two other dogs followed the one that attacked Emeraldrain, Oh StarClan no! Rainfeather brought herself to stand up strait an unsheathe her claws. The dogs ran into her one jumped on her the other Ravenfeather. "Grahh!" spat Rainfeather as the dog scratched her and tried to pin her down. Rainfeather dogged a couple blows, and moved away the dog shook its head in frustration then hurdled toward her.

Ivynose padded alongside the white leader, "Do you really want to go back... with him?" The white cat asked his Crimson eyes Flaring with worrie. "Yes... Eaglestar would want me to," I have to..  "Okay I will come with you.." meowed the white cat. "Thank you Crimsonstar."

Rainfeather felt like the life was being ripped out of her when the huge dog clamped its huge jaws around her scruff and flung her in every Direction, this dog was not going to give this up. He flung Rainfeather at a tree and approached, Ready to pounce again., "Crimson!!" she yowled struggling for breath as the pain set in to her gash on her neck. I don't care about this, I need help! "H-help me!" Rainfeather's voice trailed off as the dog sprinted at her, biting her white spotted silver pelt leaving huge gashes.  "Crimson!" Yowled Rainfeather, "help....."

Quailfoot awoke from her nap after the gathering when she heard Rainfeather's warning she ran outside of the warriors den and a huge dog starred at her.It looked the biggest and fastest out of all the attacking dogs.  Its eyes wide with hunger. "No.." murmured Quailfoot, she ran out of the camp to get Sunstripe who was on a hunting patrol. The dog flinched then was gone, she turned then it was behind her. Its eyes blazing, Great now Im the prey! Quailfoot ran out of the camp the dog hot on her trail. She ran as fast as she could and ahead of her she was approaching the Cliff, the cliff that Marked The caveclan border.

Bearly hearing Crimson's voice, Relief flooded Over Rainfeather. She summoned all the strength she had and dug her huge claws into the ribs of the dog and pushed down leaving a huge scratch. With a yelp of terror the dog turned its gaze from Crimson to her and swiped its paw on Rainfeather's muzzle to get her claws out of its side, leaving a huge gash there. The dog flinched from the blood oozing from its side and ran after Crimson. "Thank you Crimson.." murmured Rainfeather, She flinched from the huge scratches and bite marks on her pelt and hurdled as best she could to the dog, slicing the dogs face the same way it did to her. This is for you Redstorm, I know you would have wanted to be in this battle instead of coughing in the medicine cat den.Rainfeather dogged a blow and tryed to rake the dogs face one last time but the dog had it, and turned quickly to bite her side. Rainfeather felt the jaws clamp down deep beneath her fur and pick her up. All the pain going through Rainfeathers nerves was enough and she went limp as the dog whipped her against the tree. Goodbye..

Echovoice turned to Timberfur, pressed her nose into his fur and said, "Try and stop me." before dashing out of the camp to where the dogs were fighting. Launching herself unto the dog Crimson was fighting she dug her claws savagely into the dogs haunches.

Ravenfeather fought offthe dog the best he could ad yowled at Echovoice, "Get back to camp now! Thats  an order"

Echovoice just sighed and ran back to the camp.

(Gathering)

Looking up at his mentor with wide eyes, Redpaw mewed, “I have never seen so many cats before.” With a shiver, he pressed closer to Falconwing. “How do you stay so calm?” he asked with obvious curiosity. The night was filled with so many different cat aromas that Redpaw thought his nose might hop away like a rabbit. His whiskers twitched with agitation when a grey she-cat brushed past him. Redpaw kneaded the gritty, sandy ground with his claws, but he covered his plain unease with his fluffy red tail.

Leopardheart noticed that Eaglestar was in deep conversation with another cat, so he decided to gather the warriors for their trip home. With a summoning yowl, Leopardheart trotted over to the brush that bordered the Fourtrees clearing. Sitting beneath some ferns he coughed for a few moments. I must have yowled louder than I thought. Turning to the green leaf, he licked the dew from it as he waited for the warriors to say their farewells.

(Camp)

Leaping to her paws, Mistsoul crowded the four kits to the back of the den. Darkness had swallowed all the light. Silverpelt hardly glittered in the ebony expanse. My friend! I need help! I can’t let these kits die, I’m no fighter. Who can I keep them safe? Be at ease, little one, I am wise in the area of fighting. I was a vicious warrior, and I will guide you if the need arises. I don’t like this. Do you think I like this? her companion asked with scorn. Trust in StarClan, for they have something else planned for you. Mistsoul wanted to hiss her frustrations, but she knew that it would only upset the kits. She had to be strong, brave, and loyal for them. Don’t act like a piece of prey, Copperfire would come if you called for him. A sharp cry erupted from the clearing. I’m a medicine cat at heart, they need me out there! No, wait for Fernseed. You will be no help to them if you got injured as well. With a shuffle of her paws, Mistsoul looked into Larkkit’s unseeing eyes. They were so pure that she didn’t understand why she couldn’t see. “We need to be silent,” she whispered. Crouching low so that the kits mimicked her, Mistsoul barely mewed, “If anything happens, run for the nursery, but until then stay with me.” Her silver, spotted pelt bristled with each bark or yowl. Claws sinking into the yielding earth, Mistsoul prayed to StarClan that every cat would come out safe.

As Ashfoot rounded some underbrush, he spotted disturbed soil. Looking around he couldn’t see any dog or cat. He flared his nostrils to pick up even the slightest whiff of cat. Ashfoot barely caught the scent, but he smelt Sunflare. Looking around he a.ssumed the worse because the other tom was nowhere to be found. Why did you have to take him? Then a crack above his head made Ashfoot look up. He stared straight into the familiar face of Sunflare. Relief filled Ashfoot as he mewed, “I’m glad to see you whole, Sunflare.” Gazing about anxiously, Ashfoot meowed, “Let’s head back to the camp, they might need our help.”

(Moonstone)

With a gasp, Fernseed came awake. Her pelt was as chilled as leaf-bare and it had little to do with the weather. Looking at the two apprentices, she motioned for them to follow her out of the Mothermouth, but without a word. When Fernseed embraced the waning night, she mewed, “We need to hurry back to our clan. I want you to think about the dreams that StarClan has sent you before you ask or tell me anything.” Already trotting down the slope she continued, “I didn’t have a dream, but a vision of what is happening at IceClan. Dogs have attacked.” Her eyes held sadness and fear as she meowed, “Our clan needs us now.” Without another word, Fernseed started to lope back to camp. I hope we aren’t too late.

Falconwing flicked her apprentices shoulder with her tail in comfort, yet a growing unease in the pit of her stomach did not lessen. Something I wrong, I know it. But i'm not medicine cat, so this cannot mean anything can it? Shivering slightly, she got to her paws. "I stay calm because I have to. I'm a grown warrior and cannot show weakness in front of the other clans. Fear is expected in apprentices, and they try to bluff you into thinking they will take your ears off for the fun of it." She teased. "But they will not, promise. Now come on, Leopardheart is calling." She started after the deputy, looking over her shoulder at Redpaw to make sure he was keeping up. I don't like this, it reminds me of the time when I knew Shadowpaw was sick and no one seemed to believe me until he started sneezing. It was mothers intuition. Is something wrong with one of my kits? He fur bristled at the thought, green eyes widening with horror. She had to sink her claws into the ground to keep from bolting back to camp at the realization.

Sunflare almost jumped on top of Ashfoot in surprise, thinking for a split second it was a dog returning. He had heard cats fighting and snarling in the back ground, but was almost to winded to ever jump from the tree. Now that his breath was somewhat caught, he climbed from the tree and skidded to a halt beside Ashfoot. "Yes, I tried to lead the dogs away, but they were persistent in heading towards camp. I'm sorry I could not do a better job." He told the older warrior, ears drooped. Remembering Midnightpaw's torn form, he took off towards camp at a awkward trot.

(( East, I had a dog attack Ravenfeather already :P ))

"Yes Fernseed.." meowed Nightpaw, The dogs have attacked! Walking down the slope with Fernseed and Gentlepaw, she thought to herself. That was an interesting dream... she Slowed her pace. The same thing again... That dead white cat at the bottom of the Caveclan border cliff with the other white and black cat grieving. But that time... That time I seen that the white cat had Faint stripes.... No!.. Nightpaw padded beside Fernseed again, "I did have a dream Fernseed..." confessed Nightpaw, "And I think I understand it now..."

As Quailfoot approached the Caveclan border at a running speed, she new she was doing the right thing for the clan. Driving off the biggest fastest dog and tricking it to falling off the cliff. She was about a fox-length from the cliff and then, a white and grey flash.  It bumped her back instead of letting her run off the cliff with the dog.  And the white cat jumped instead of her as well as the dog, off the huge cliff.Who was that? "Ivynose!" screeched a voice from behind her.

Ravenfeather owled as the dog slashed his body. The dog, about to go in for the kill, was suddenly scared off, or so it seemed.  The dpog ran towards its leader, standing beside the cliff the gray and white cat had fallen over, "Ivynose! Oh no" he murmured. He jumped on the back of the lead dog, snarling and ripping out pawfuls of the dogs thick rough fur.

(AFTER THE DOG ATTACK)

Cinderstar looked down off the cliff, hopeless.  "Was... was she your.... mate?" asked Quailfoot, "Yes....... and you Quailfoot are my daughter."Meowed Cinderstar. shocked, Quailfoot stared down at the ground. Then some rocks fell, she lifted her head to see that Cinderstar was leaping down the narrow edges to find Ivynose.  Quailfoot followed, stepping down the edges. Rocks tumbled down as she got closer to the ground.  It seemed to take forever to get to the bottom of the cliff.  Relieved, Quailfoot padded forward, not caring that she was on Caveclan's territory, to see her mother. "She did that for... me... I should have fallen not her." murmured Quailfoot sadly. "No, she chose her fate.." responded Cinderstar. A quiet rasping came from the grey stripped white warrior. "Cinder..sta...." murmured Ivynose, "Bring Cardinal... to.. Eagle.........." What or who is Cardinal? Or Eagle? "No!" yowled Cinderstar, making a serious effort to stay calm.   "Quailfoot, If you could help me take Ivynose up the cliff." Meowed Cinderstar. Quailfoot's mussels screamed at her for rest, but she nodded and helped the strong white cat bring Ivynose up the cliff.   Once they got up to the top of the border-cliff, "Are we taking her to Iceclan..?" meowed Quailfoot. "Not yet... There is one thing I have to fetch." meowed Cinderstar as he lay Ivynose's body by a tree. "Come." he meowed, Quailfoot hurried behind him.

Cinderstar led Ivynose to a sandy land, with huge sand  colored rocked jutting up from the sand floor. Quailfoot felt the sand go through her pads as she walked, as uncomfortable that was, she continued to follow. The scents here felt like seemed like home.  Cats emerged from the tunnels in the rocks, probably because of her IceClan scent. I am not supost to be here..."Come in here.." meowed Cinderstar as he sat beside a small tunnel, Quailfoot squeezed into it, and scented something. A scent of Ivynose; but it was stale. Cinderstar managed to squeeze into the den, Quailfoot could hardly believe that he could fit his broad shoulders into the den. "Go on.." he meowed. Quailfoot stepped forward, the sand was finer here. As she walked onward the tunnel became bigger, and a tinny white, brown, ginger and black shape moved in the center of the den. "Meet your new brother." meowed Cinderstar with a strange pride in his voice, "Cardinalkit. Ivynose wanted Eaglestar to have him, but couldn't bring herself to tell Eaglestar that she had a kit." Cardinalkit stood up respectfully and dipped his head to Quailfoot, surprised by his respect. "Lets get him to Eaglestar." meowed Cinderstar.

Once they left Scarletclan camp,  and came back into the Iceclan territory, Quailfoot looked at her brother. I have a brother! she felt happiness  mixed with sadness.  They approached Eaglestar's den, "I mean no Harm Eaglestar, but I wish to give you Ivynose's son." announced Cinderstar.

(Burst-forward)

As Leopardheart looked around the camp, he noted that some cats were missing. His agitation increased as he realized that many were missing. Ashfoot, Sunflare, Ivynose, Swiftdarkness, and Midnightpaw are all absent. His unease increased with each paw step he took below the High Rock. Leopardheart’s mind was as scattered as the prey in the forest when he noticed a commotion coming from the gorse tunnel. Spotted ears pricked forward, he held his breath, but what he saw made his heart sink. His long-time apprentice friend, Swiftdarkness, was walking in with Midnightpaw draped across his shoulders. By the way Swiftdarkness hardly moved forward, Leopardheart knew that the clan had lost a cat to the dog attacks. Rushing forward Leopardheart shouldered Midnightpaw so that she was between the two warriors. Leopardheart knew that Swiftdarkness wouldn’t want to miss touching the ebony she-cats fur for one moment. If this was one of my kits, I don’t know if I could recover. The pair laid Midnightpaw in the center of the camp. Leopardheart watched Swiftdarkness curl around his daughter. “Midnightpaw would have made a great warrior,” he mewed comfortingly. “But she hunts with StarClan now.” Pressing his nose to the fallen apprentices’ cheek, Leopardheart backed off. He wanted to give Falconwing and Swiftdarkness a chance to mourn their lost kit. No warrior should have to lay their kit to rest. It should be the other way around. I should have stopped this from happening. Leopardheart held the burden fully on his pelt. Eaglestar was distracted more than ever with her kits, and he didn’t blame her at all, so why could he have saved them all? Walking to the medicine cat den, he wanted to know how Redstorm was doing. The tom was supposed to keep the camp safe, but his cough seemed to have gotten worse. Before entering the herb-scented den, Leopardheart coughed viciously himself. He tasted a tangy-copper flavor and spat it out instinctively. Shaking his head, the throbbing had gotten worse, he continued forward. After two steps his vision became faulty, and gray spots appeared. Blinking his topaz eyes, Leopardheart felt suddenly light, as if he were floating, but the ground soon slapped his cheek like an attacking paw. His whiskers twitched with surprise, but he soon relaxed. It felt too good to rest. Leopardheart couldn’t remember the last time he had slept well. Closing his eyes, he distantly heard a warning mew, but he had no energy left to open his eyes again. “Not yet…” he hardly whispered, “just let me rest.” Then another coughing fit seized him, and Leopardheart knew it was blood that he tasted in his mouth.

Mistsoul left the kits in Quailfoot’s care, when the she-cat had come looking for Eaglestar. She knew that the clan would need a medicine cat, and Fernseed was still a ways away. The sun was hardly seeping through the trees. Talking to the injured cats as she went, Mistsoul saw Midnightpaw laid out in the center of the camp. I was supposed to save her. No, young one, there was nothing you could have done for here. It was her time, for StarClan called for her. Midnigtpaw hunts with abundance now. While we go into leaf-fall with already starving cats because the clan is so large and kits keep coming. With a broken sigh, Mistsoul loped over to the medicine den to get some cob webs. With a yowl of despair, and heartache, the silver she-cat saw both Leopardheart and Redstorm lying still as stone. “No!” she cried. Rushing over to her father, she pressed her muzzle to his neck, but found no heartbeat though he was still warm. Redstorm had no warmth left because his heart had been given to StarClan during the fight with the dogs.

“Are they alive?”

Fear streaking through her, Mistsoul spun around with her fur bristling. When she saw that it was only Ashfoot she relaxed a bit, but she was still rigid from sadness. “No,” she mewed softly, “StarClan has taken them both.” She watched the ginger-red tom stiffen and realized that he was more attached to his new clan than she thought.

“Let’s bring them to the center of the camp.” He suggested softly. When Mistsoul dipped her head in agreement, Ashfoot helped her carry first Leopardheart then Redstorm out. When both were next to Midnightpaw, Ashfoot meowed loud enough for any cat to listen, “These warriors will be missed greatly. I am new to this clan, yet I know of their loyalty and honor.” After a pause he continued, “Midnightpaw was a stubborn apprentice, but a lovely one. Her presence will be grieved greatly throughout the clan.” His amber eyes were jaded as he looked down at Mistsoul. The silver she-cat was trembling over her father’s body, tears streaked down her soft face. How can a clan be filled with so much death.

((Poor Leopardheart, I already miss him.))

Falconwing paced back and forth across a small distance around the clearing, her eyes darting back and forth from the Iceclan territory to the leaders rock. Finally, she nudged Redpaw gently. "I'm going back to camp, something does not feel right. You can come along if you want." She told him, then turned and bolted towards the camp, her paws feeling heavier and heavier with dread. When the camp finally came into focus, she slowed down with a deep sigh, sides heaving with the effort of the long run. Poking her head into camp, she spotted Swiftdarkness's black pelt and took a pace towards him. Then she saw the other pelt blending in with his, as black as night and unusually still. Heart thudding so loud is felt like it would explode through her chest, Falconwing bolted towards her daughter, green eyes alight with distress. Pressing her nose into Midnightpaw's cold pelt, she could not stop the soft wails bursting from her throat, or the tears that over flowed from her eyes. Paws not feeling like they could hold her increasingly heavy weight, she fell to her stomach and pushed herself forward with sapping strength so she could lay her head onto her daughters shoulder, praying with everything she had that is was all just a dream and Midnightpaw would look at her and yowl Surprise! Of course no matter how much she wished, or dreamed, the still form below her did not move. Forgetting the other cats of the clan were there the queen threw her head back and yowled aloud her grief, never before experiencing the raw, unbridled pain that shot through her body. Why Starclan? Out of all the cats in the clan why was it her? She was perfect, she would have been one of the best warriors with her courage and determination. And you took her from us, from me! Do you hate me that much! Opening her closed eyes, the green orbs were now filled with hatred as well as pain. Well I hate you, all of you! She thought viciously. You've taken my sister, my son, two of my kits, why not take my soul with them eh? What next, shall you take my mate with them? She screamed in hr head, ears pounding and head feeling as if it was floating above the clouds.

Silentheart burst into the clearing after a quick sweep around the camp, making sure no dogs were still snooping around. He had heard a yowl from the clearing, and seeing Falconwing's upturned head, he figured it was her. What has happened here? Looking for one certain cat, his heart lurched at the sight of Mistsoul with tears streaking from her eyes and over a still form. Oh no, please don't let it be true. He thought, looking down at the body of his mentor, his father figure. Leopardheart? Walking forward, he sat beside Mistsoul and let his shoulder brush hers, his own head bowed with grief over the loss of a great warrior. He tried too stop the tears, because he was so new here and cats would think of him as crazy if he cried over Leopardheart. Why should I care, he was one of the most noble warriors and deserves to be wept over.
