OOC: Oh yay! We're starting!!! :D
BiC: New York.. Rachel flicked her silky hair behind her shoulders. She was taking a nighttime walk. It was her hobby now. She found that she always had a hard time getting to sleep. It was strange. Her friends were always sure that she was going to run out of energy during the day, but she never did. So, instead of falling asleep instantly, Rachel took a walk.. New York City was never really asleep anyway. There was always people still awake, still noises, sights, and smells. Rachel was walking towards a coffee shop. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a stray black dog wander into an alley. She spotted a group of guys who were all staring at another girl who was heading in the same direction.
Rachel had to admit this girl was absolutely stunning. Beyond gorgeous. It didn't seem like beauty like that should be allowed. The girl flashed a brilliant smile that even took Rachel's breath away at the guys. She'll have them in her hands Rachel thought to herself.
It was then that a guy walked out of the alley that was positioned next to the coffee shop. Now, the sight of this guy made Rachel's stomach fluttery and her palms were suddenly sweaty. If that gorgeous girl and him were ever to hook up Rachel thought to herself they'd be the most beautiful couple on earth.
The strange thing was, the cute guy didn't walk up to the amazingly cute girl. Instead, he walked up to Rachel. His eyes bored into hers. Wow. His eyes were a stunning emerald green. She felt like melting. All sense of time seemed to escape Rachel's mind. All she could think about was this guy standing before her.
"You look like you're lost," was the first thing he said to her. His voice was... Was musical and soft... Just perfect. Don't stare at him like a dork, Rachel. It was this thought that made Rachel more aware of where she was. She was able to think finally.
"Oh," she said, sounding a bit surprised. "No. I know where I'm going."
"Sorry, then," he said. "I just... Happened to notice you." Rachel's heart skipped a beat at this. "Anyway," he proceeded to talk, "Call me Squall. What's your name?" Squall? Weird name. Though, at this point, the guy's name could have been something completely foul and Rachel wouldn't have cared.
"I'm Rachel Fountain. Nice to meet you," she said. Squall held out his hand for her to shake. Rachel took it. Then she noticed how cold his skin was. Weird. And also... A shiver went up her spine and her heart pumped faster and faster. A strange gleam came into Squall's red eyes. Eh? Weren't they supposed to be green? But Rachel couldn't think. She noticed Squall's face coming closer and closer to her own and her simply closing her eyes, breathing in deeply... She felt soft lips press against her own... Then they left her lips and she felt a strange pricking sensation on her throat. Then she felt pressure on her throat. It began to hurt...
Just like a vampire Rachel thought absently. Sudddenly her eyes flicked open. Vampire? She then realized how Squall was had long teeth that had just begun to pierce through Rachel's skin.
"Let go you--" Rachel shouted, then broke off, not knowing exactely which insult she felt like calling the inhuman guy who had just taken advantage of her. Her right hand clamped on her neck, crimson blood trickling through her fingers. Squall stepped back, wiping the back of his hand on his mouth.
"Vampire?" he suggested quietly.
