Arabella sat in her dormitory, playing with a straggly piece of fabric. She got up and paced to the window. She opened it with a creak and peered outside. She looked down to where she dropped the orb. That's funny, she thought, It's nowhere to be seen...

Ayla trailed after Idya and the rest of the demon hunters.
It must be there somewhere, Arabella thought, trying to justify her next move. She clambered out of the window and onto the stone thatched roof. Her dress ripped slightly as it caught on a twig. Shye held onto the small cracks for support as she climbed carefully down the side of the tower to look for the orb. |

"So they are this way aren't they?" Devon said looking at Idya and Ayla.
Tomix stood at the stairs of the castle The hunters have the orb he thought it can't hurt her.

"I think so," Idya replied calmly and continued to walk. She stopped dead in front of a small hut.
The cracks and crevasses in the side of the tower were getting thinner and thinner. If only she could reach the tangled vine climbing up it's side. Maybe if she reached out as far as she could, just maybe, she could use it to climb down. She stretched her arm out, waving her hand helplessly in an attempt to snag the vine. She reached a little further, and a little more. Aha! She could touch the vines with the tips of her fingers. But not for long. Her other hand slipped from the crack that was her only hold on the tower. She clawed at the air but to no avail. She was falling. Falling from the top of the tallest tower. She hits the ground and her vision fails her. |

Tomix looked around and saw her fall "No!" he said knowing that he wouldn't make it before she hit the ground. He ran to the place that she looked like she would fall to and stopped in his tracks when he caught site of her o the ground.
Devon looked at her "This is the place?" he asked.

Daphne heard a thump from the castle but dismissed it as nothing.

Tomix crouched down and lightly touched her cheek "Arabella?" he said ,worry very evident in his voice.

Arabella did not stir. Ambrosia revealed herself from the bushes. She stalked towards Tomix. "She's dead, you know," she purred. |

Idya looked puzzled.
"Whyever not?" Ambrosia asked in a voice dripping with poison "Isn't it what you desire? To let it all go? I can make the pain... go away. Just give her to me and it will all be as it was. For her to no longer exist... Is this not simpler? Is this not your natural state?"
