Wharshin's antennae flattened against his head at the sight of Ebony being kicked at. "I am terribly sorry." He apologized, slightly stiffly due to his anger. "Please excuse me for a few moments." He said before dipping his head and rushing over to Renia and Valkyrie. He stopped several steps from them and held up a hand in greeting.

Daphne turned back to Sky to start a new conversation. "I do hope the war ends soon. I've been so worried about my parents, and the people of Attalia too. Though, at the same time, I feel very at home here, like I could stay forever. Relkinshire is very nice, don't you think?" she said, stabbing a piece of glazed carrot with her fork and placing it daintily in her mouth.

When the cat bolted under the table, Madison ducked down quickly to see where it was going. To her surprise, it was facing her. Most cats she had seen would have run away. She held out her hand for it to sniff. "Come 'ere, *censored* cat," Madison whispered in a friendly tone. |

Sky looked at his plate and then at Daphne, "It all depends on what will happen before it ends." he said, "It may have already taken it's toll on many a kingdom and because of that toll they may never return to how they once were. But I agree it would be nice it would all just end. Relkinshire is rather a nice place to stay though."

Whether we wanted it or not, we\'ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let\'s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta\'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He\'s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

Madison grinned broadly at the cat, moving her fingers a little closer. It seemes she had made a new friend. "Yer a lovely ca', en't yeh?" she cooed. She brought her hand slowly closer to the cat, so as not to startle it, and paused as if to ask if it was okay to pat it.

Ebony pulled away from her followers hand. Don't touch. She thought before sitting down and studying what she could see of the human.
Wharshin dipped his head. "Greetings. The cat belongs to me more than anyone else present, I suppose. Unfortunately she is rather important to me, so I must ask that if you are to come across her later you are to refrain from destroying her. I am sorry for her actions."

Madison pulled her hand back when the cat moved back. Her legs were getting sore from crouching down, so she shifted he position to sit cross-legged just underneath the tablecloth. She returned the cat's gaze with great interest, a smile tugging at her lips.

Rika sat don closed her book and went to get some more food, she served herself somemore and grabbed a cup of puch. At least she was having a good dinner, that reminded her of something she sure hoped her pet wasn't acting up. It wasn't the type of pet you kept inside a castle, she sat down at the table and sighed. She wished she had a brother or a sister so she could talk to them. The ballroom was beautiful and all, but it wasn't much of her thing. Particularly because she was to shy to start a conservation, or ask someone to come to the ball with her.

Keith looked around the hall in discomfort, "Maybe I should just move to the courtyard." he muttered, "It is not like I shall be missed in here.". He stood up before adjusting his mask and moving out of the ballroom, "Much too crowded." he said before walking outside into the courtyard which was lit with many small hanging lanterns. He looked up at the sky and gave a small smile as a cool breeze hit his face, "Much better."

Rika stared as she watched the boy leave, she wondered if she could just leave. She would prefer to be outside in the courtyard looking at the lanterns than here. The courtyard was full of space, Rika thought for a moment and then decided to leave, her book was held tightly in one of her hands and the other stayed at her side. She sat down a bench opened her book and took a minute to look at the lanterns, she started reading and flipping through the pages of the book. She had read so many times, but it was just one of the books she liked to read. Finally peace and quiet she thought.

Keith turned his head as he hear the sound of a page being flipped. His eyes landed one the girl who held the book for a few seconds before he turned away. It's only one person he thought before walking into a garden that lined the rim of the courtyard. He then stepped onto the thin strip of grass that lay in the middle of the garden and lay down. The grass was slightly wet from the night air that was so very inviting. He closed his eyes and the small beads of water from the grass seeped into his coat. It didn't matter to him though. It was only a coat after all. He reached his fingers to the whiskers on his mask and slowly twirled them, "I'd much rather be out here." he said.

Rika looked at the boy named Keith. "oh sorry if I'm disturbing you in anyway, I just don't envy being in the ballroom". She picked up the book again and let her eyelids droop, she wasn't sure if there was anyone else in the courtyard. She hoped there wasn't, she didn't like noise and the ballroom was full of it. Her eyes closed and she quickly opened them back up again and started reading some more. It was too bad she didn't bring her journal, she would've loved drawing all the lovely bright lanterns. She tucked a strand of her dark black hair behind he ear and smiled. The courtyard really seemed like a lovely place.

"I thought everyone loved the ballroom, I suppose I'm wrong". She walked up to one of the lanterns and touched it. "my name is Rika, what might yours be?". The light from the lantern reflected of her eyes and she stared at lantern for a little while longer. It was amazing how serene this place was, or mabye the ballroom was just to loud for her. She sat down on the moist grass and propped her book down next to her, at least she was talking to someone.
