Fae of dark colors paced back and forth in front of her den, green orbs scanning the wall of trees that lay only a few short feet away. As her pads began to ache more with the days, she found walking tiring, let alone hunting. But she wanted to be out there in the fresh air with the rest of the pack. Today she felt so heavy, but was not willing to sit around any longer. She paused and glanced back at the den. It was as prepared as possible for the coming pups, although she was in constant fear that it would not be soft enough, or that the rain would trickle in and they would freeze. She shook off her pelt and looked forward. With a sigh, she turned to lick her belly. "Well, pups, mama's going to have to get us some grub, isn't she?"
Looking forward, she began to trot, and as she walked her pads began to feel better. The scent of fresh kill filled her nostrils, and she dropped her bottom jaw, salivating at the thought. But something wasn't right. Auds perked and tail dropped, and she paused to listen to whatever the wind would bring her. The faint cry for help caught her attention, and her eyes narrowed. That was her Beta out there, and as she was hunting, Kiteso highly doubted she had another with her. Call it unconventional, but most seemed to find it easier to hunt alone. At least, she did. She threw back her crane and let loose her song, a call to Feyth that she would soon be there. If the fae was in labor, she should not be alone. She growled to herself. She had been hoping to have the first litter of the season, but the pups would decide when they were ready. |

He wasn't one to respond to orders, but even he wasn't heartless, not to a wolf in anguish. He raced towards the sound and was at the she-wolf's side in a matter of seconds, due to his lithe body and ability to run very fast. "Everything's going to be alright, a healer will be here eventually." He cooed, trying to get her into a shadier place near a tree. He grunted under the beta's weight, hoping that someone would come and help him. He heard a howl ring about and he knew someone was coming. "Over here!" He called, starting to get worried...
