Tasha went back to her pen and lay down on her doggy bed. She lay down her long head on her paws. She had already met one kind neighbor, but hadn't met the other.

Pi sat beside her designated table as she watched all of the entrants pass by and greet one another. She simply sat there as her tail wagged furiously in excitement. Her gazed continued to return to the dog that was currently in the training arena as she became more inpatient as time went by.
Once the dog's time was up she began to whine and paw at the floor in order to get her owners attention.Her owner simply giggled at Pi's excitability and put on her simple collar over the dogs neck.
"Come on Pi, let's show them what we can do out there." Pi barked in response to her handlers own excitement as they both entered the training arena.

Tasha tilted her head as Pi went by. At the same point, her master came into her pen and blocked her view. Her master tossed in one of her favorite toys, a stuffed replica of donald duck meant for children. Tasha barked, and when her master exited she lay back down practically holding it with her paws. She lay her head on it's shoulder, using it to make the cutest pose as possible. No, cute didn't cut it. With the long fur on her ears and tail and long lithe body, beautiful fit just right.

Shadow's owner came back and whistled for her to come. Shadow obeyed and followed her owner back to her cage. Shadow went into her cage and her owner said to her,"Guess who I've got." Shadow barked and then her owner gave her a little black stuffed dragon. Shadow wrapped herself around the toy and put a paw on it's back with a small sigh. She knew she was probably not going to get into the competition and was getting a bit depressed because of it. Her owner sighed and said to her,"It's ok girl. We still have a chance."
I\'m extremely sorry for my absence. I\'ve been very busy and was recently attacked by 3 dogs and am currently recovering.

Tasha stood up and picked Donald up in her jaws, leaping over her pen. She went over to Shadow and placed her paws on the fence. She peered into the donation box. The bottom was barely covered. She set her head atop her paws and whimpered. "If you don't get in... I'll win, just for you." Donald was bent over the fence in an unattractive way, so Tasha picked him up again, making a squeaking noise.

Shadow raised her head up and managed a smile,"Thanks." She then put her head back down and pickedthe dragon up in her jaws. She put it back down under her chin and put a paw on it's tail.

Tasha nodded and jumped down, then turned when her master called her. She bounded over to him. "Up up!" Her master bent over and Tasha put her paws on his shoulders and gave him a 'hug'. "Pi pe!" Her master held his arm out and Tasha hopped onto it with her paws almost clinging to his neck while she sat on his arm. Her master put away her toy and let her down. Her master smiled, and she grinned back.

Pi swiftly made it through training, only tripping once through the training arena. She walked beside her owner, tongue hanging out in order to cool down.
Well that was fun. She though to herself as she made her way towards her own cage to have a lap at the cool water in one of the bowls.
"Great job Pi." Her owner softly patted her chest once she was done with the water. Pi barked in reply and nuzzled her owners hand.

Both Pi and her owner turned to see where the noise come from, only to find someone putting some change into the donation bin. Her owner nodded a thanks and Pi's tail began to wag furiously in happiness. She then made her way to the cage to grab her blanket.
"Bring me good luck mickey!" She barked hopefully.

(Yes, any dog is allowed, even if it isn't purebred.) Tasha smiled back at Shadow, too. "If you don't get in, you can even be part of my prep team, like a pep captain!" Tasha made a running leap to her pen, then wagged her tail in reply to the scratching sound of green paper. It was one hour until the donation ceremony was over, when she could finally rest in anticipation for the beauty competition.

Lukah sat in his area, tail wagging at the people that came by. Many commented on how pretty he was, and he walked forward to try to get pet, even jumping up on the bars, but much to his dismay a few of the people shrieked and ran, thinking he was going to attack. His ears drooped and he went back onto all fours and moved to curl up on a simple black blanket, how nose resting on an old fox plush he'd had for a few years.

Tasha saw Lukah on the other side of her pen. She put her paws up on the bars and peeked in at him, eager to meet another freind. "Don't worry, they're just big hunks of turkey. I'm sure they just adore you! Look, your cash box is almost bursting with stuff! Well, almost." A man turned around, and she carefully stole his wallet and plopped it into the box. "Now it is!"

Lukah's ears perked up slightly, the wolf-dog lifting his head with his ears pulling back again. "You saw how they ran..." he said softly, shaking his head. "They think I'm going to hurt them...just because I'm part wolf!" he whined, setting his head back down, ears drooping again. "All I wanted was to play...but they all ran away..."

(My mom looked at that and said "Yeah well go cry emo kid" I feel sorry for Lukah.) Tasha leaped into Lukah's pen. She wasn't only an inch shorter. "So what they scream and run because of what you are? I used to make babies cry when I kissed them." Tasha stretched a little bit. "My master says that its fierce they want, not an adorable little kitten face." She wagged her tail a bit slower. "But if you think they're afraid of your jaws and claws, well, they obviously don't believe that a dog's bark is worse than his bite."
