Alex woke early the next morning, the sun streaming into his room through the balcony glas.s doors was waking him and irritating him in general. He got up and went to close the curtains, wrapping his arms around his waist slightly until he spotted a rather large heap on the balcony floor. 

"Jake!" He called, jumping forward and pulling the door open quickly and getting on his hands and knees to see the other, injured demon. "Jake!!" He called, reaching up and pulling his hair behind his ear. "Jake?!" He asked then let himself regain his demon markings hoping that he would be able to move him

Jake's eyes flicked open in time to see who was trying to aid him before the fatigue overcame him once more and he shut his eyes. His wings were torn his left horn broken and even his face scratched up. His clothes were no exception. They were crusty from the dried blood, but they were almost in shreds. There was little left of his shirt and he had basically shorts on now. His shoes were gone and he was shivering. He opened his eyes once more to make sure he knew who was going to lay their hands on him. Alex.

Jake opened his eyes and struggled bringhis hand over. He reached for the balcony bars. "S...sorry.... to bother.. you... I know.. your dislike... demons who... degrade.. themselves.. to mutts.." He pulled himself toward the balcony rail but could barely move away from alex before collapsing into his own blood again.

ALex reached forward to help him even though the smell of his blood was a powerful aphrodisiac for him. "What happened to you...?" He asked in almost a whisper. He needed to get Jake inside and off the balcony before another blood drinking demon came along and smelled Jake's wonderful... injured scent. 

He was weak for a demon, his own power was the power of seduction. He would only educe to feed and continue to live. That was all. All other demons seemed to have some sort of power or ability or purpose that gave them something to do. Made them special all in their own way.

He shifted into his demon form, his strongest form and scooped Jake up the best that he could and took him into the bathroom to try and clean him up and get him out of his soiled clothes.  

"Probably a lot." Alex told him, carrying him to the bathroom and set him down in the bathtub, clothes and all, and turned on the water. The clear water came out and then turn slightly pink and finally red from Jake's wounds. The white tub was stained red as well.

He sat down beside the tub silently, waiting for it to fill up. This would take away the bloody scent and clean Jake at the same time. He made sure hte water was warm and not hot or cold.

"Its ok." Alex responded simply, reaching forward to touch Jake's face. "Hold still." He commanded gently, knowing that the water was going to sting but it was also goingto clean the wounds and help Jake heal himself. He took his hand back, it was tainted with red but not much. Only from touching Jake's face.  

Alex frowed, Jakes words actually hurting him. He straightened up in the chair and lookd down on the injured demon. "I'll leave," He stated. "I wanted to thank you again for helping me and that I'll be leaving this city today." He informed the other. He stood and crossed the room but stopped once again.

"And youve misunderstood me." He added, "I dislike when a demon degrates themselves to being mutts. I said no such thing as to disliking the demon." And with that he swept away into the next room to gather his shoes onto his feet and a thin jacket that would better cover his wings.

He turned and headed out, "See you around I suppose." He stated and opened the door and left. 

Alex stopped with a bit of a start, almost stumbling, his tears a little teary from finding out about Malice and Jake turning him away. But once he regained his balance and composure he frowned at the demon in front of him, starting to get upset with his as well. "Did't you just tell me to leave?" He replied. To tell the truth he didn't, nor had he ever, wanted to stay the weekend. It was pointless to him. 

He huffed, he didn't need this. He wasn't some sort of emotional play thing. "damn me? damn you! What do you and from me? Why do you go be hateful somewhere else. I'd done for today." He never understood him from the beginning. 

Alex moved forward, so tempted to just pas.s the other male and leave him here dispite what he'd just said. he didn't really know Jake, didn't usually show sompasion for anyone or anything. But he wanted to make Jake feel better. 

He gripped gripped Jake's shirt in both hands gently, looking down at them. "I'll stay..." He said, though he didn't want to. He could survive the weekend... right? "But then I'll leave. Ok?" He asked, now looking up at Jake's face. 

Jake looked at Alex. "Alright.. I'll accompany you to the end of the city if you return to another town. And I will wait for you to pas.s through a portal or something if you are returning to another dimension." His eyes were slightly brighter now that he got Alex to stay. Maybe he could covince the boy to stay with him for a few months or so, since Alex was his only real friend he had in this huge town.

"Sorry for asking all this of you. I know you probably wanted to leave with the new information you've gotten about your lover..." He looked at Alex and sighed slightly. "Well, um.. Guess I should show you my house right?"

Alex frowned and released the other's shirt from his fingers. He wasn't really all that sure why he'd grabbed him in the first place. He didn't like that word. 'Lover' Malice.... wasn't his lover. He hadn't been that for quite sometime now and it sort of stung when Jake mentioned it.

"I guess so." Alex responded. He didn't know what to do. This wasn't up to him anymore so Jake was going to have to make all the decisions from now on since Alex had agreed to stay with him for the weekend.
