Earthpaw pushed her way through the hanging brambles covering the Warrior's Den. "Spiritflame, can we do battle training?" she mewed as she sat next to her mentor.

Silverkit purred and chased after Northkit, leaping high into the air in an attempt to get the ladybug. It flitted out of the way in time and buzzed off to land on a small flower.

Eaglstrike headed towards Crystalpaw, "Crystalpaw, today we're going to go hunting." she called as he walked out of the Apprentice's Den.

Spiritflame looked up from licking her paw. "Of course, Earthpaw," she said, purring. Earthpaw was her favourite apprentice; so far.

Crystalpaw smiled. "But can I get something to eat first, Eaglestrike?" he asked as his stomach growled.

Forestpaw sat down a few paces behind Limefeather, wating for his mentors responce.

Dagonkit growled and the noises coming from outside the nursury. Lashing her tail, she got up to her paws and padded out to see what Northkit and Silverkit where up to.

Earthpaw smiled, "Great! I can't wait to start." she meowed happily, her eyes shining with happiness. She had been born sickly and was older than other apprentices at her stage of training. Because she was older, she had started at 8 moons rather than 6.

Eaglestrike nodded, "I should too, since we need to be strong for hunting. The prey are beginning to retreat back into their burrows for Leaf-bare." she mewed.

Spiritflame rose to her paws and licked Earthpaw between the ears. "Lets get started then, Earthpaw," she said with another purr.

Crystalpaw nodded. He padded to the fresh kill pile and chose a mouse to eat. Settling down a few tail-lengths away from the pile, he began to eat his breakfast.

Earthpaw stood up and followed Spiritflame, her pawsteps quick and lively. "What sort of moves are we learning today?" she mewed.

Eagelstrike grabbed a caffinch and lay down on one of the smooth rocks in the clearing, chewing on her food. She finished it in a few famished gulps and yawned once she was done, licking her chops. 

Spiritflame thought about it for a second before answering; "How to fight a badger."

Finishing he mouse, Crystalpaw licked his jaws before padding over to Eaglestrike. "I'm ready," he said.

Dragonkit looked at Silverkit with surprise, but soon vanished. "What are you talking about, mouse-brain? Only StarClan can do stuff like that," she said with a lash of her tail. But a question bounced around in her minds eye; Do I have any special powers?

Earthpaw grinned, "Cool!" she mewed enthusiasticly, her tail lashing with excitement.

Eaglestrike nodded, "Alright then. We'll be hunting near the Two-leg barn, there are lots of mice there, even at this time of year." she meowed before heading for the gorse-tunnel.

Silverkit's eyes shone, "I know! But look!" she meowed, poking the small pile of ashes that had once been a flower.

Spiritflame smiled. "Then lets go," she said, padding towards the gorse tunnel.

Crystalpaw nodded, indicating that he heard and followed his mentor.

Dragonkit looked skeptical. "But how should I know? I didn't see it," she said.

Dragonkit jumped into the air in surprise. Her white/silver fur stood on end. "What in the name of StarClan...?" she asked.

Dragonkit's eyes were wide. What was going on?

Snakekit watched Silverkit with interest. His mind wandered over what had just happened curiously. The golden rattler-like tip of his tail flicked across the ground while he though. "That's very interesting," he told the she-cat.

Oakfeather yawned, padding out of camp again. He was going to find a nice place to curl up and rest, or perhaps do a little more hunting. He didn't quite know yet.

Limefeather blinked, turning to Forestpaw. "Can you help me find some herbs?" she asked her politely. "We need watermint, yarrow, nettle seeds and budock root."
