((How about... NOW! :D)) Ash wandered through the Spine, having nothing else to do. She started picking up small rocks when she found a oval blue rock. she picked it up, wondering if it was valueable, before heading to Carvahall, since it was closest, and someone might be able to tell her what its worth.
