Adrian's smile instantly dissappeared. "I.. I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were serious..And actually, I didn't see anything on the door. But that's probably because I was gazing around. I never realized how much I took sight for granted."

Alex grumbled. " Ha! You're both idiots. Like I didn't already know that." To whch Adrian replied, " Hush, Alex. You're not even a part of this conversation." Of course, he slyly remarked, " I am now." Alex had a huge, triumphant smirk on his face. When he didn't hear an answer, he bragged, "Yep. No comment. You know I'm right."

" Whatever  you say, Alex." Adrian said. She turned back to the girl, and then said, "Nice to meet you. Hey, do you want to go ask somebody for help together?"

''Ok... I'll go with you...'' She replied. ''And it's ok, you'd be surprised at what people take for granted. Including that people give a damn what they think of them.'' She wished she hadn't run into him. That she hadn't started an argument amongst people she didn't know.

"Ok, then let's go over there." Adrian suddenly remembered, and said," Oh, sorry. I've never walked around... with anyone blind.... before. How is it easiest for you? Because I see two girls over... there... with black hair that I thought mabye we could talk to. Really sorry, I'm not trying to act all enabling and pitiful for you and stuff by asking how it's easiest, I just.." She wasn't good at these types of things either.

Alex found this a perfect opportunity to prove his point. "You don't even know what to say. I told you were stupid." He laughed a short, mocking, terrible laugh.

"Keep your negative comments to yourself for once. Nobody wants to hear your pessimistic remarks." He heard her shoot back. " I bet it's hard enough for Ariatka without you and your rude, mindless babbling."

Alex did nothing but sneer, and turn away, arms crossed. If only you knew what I'd gone through, then maybe you'd understand... But he shoved the thought out of his mind.

Ariatka felt like punching a wall. ''You don't need to do anything special. You talk, I hear where you are. You walk, I hear where you are. I don't need any special treatment.'' To prove her point, she walked over to the girl, held out her hand, and touched the girls shoulder. ''See? I'm fine. What element are you, by the way? I'm Air.'' Remembering what had happened when she accidentally revealed to the others what element she was, she pushed the thought to the back of her mind. These people were just like her.

''That's a nice name.  Strange, but nice. D'you mind if I tag along with you?'' At least if she asked, she wouldn't be considered too stalker-ish. Seeing her loking at a few time tables, she looked at them herself as well. ''Hmn... I think this one is for me,'' she said, pulling down one and reading it out also. ''#5. Fire-Air-Earth-Water-Animalistic-Darkness-Light, Each to be learned over the course of a month and a half.'' She wondered exactly what was going n, but thought bettr than to ask her new friend.

Ariatka sighed and followed the girl. She wished she hadn't been so quick to decide to go with her. Someone would probably come soon, anyway, so what difference did it make? She didn't like how the girl referred to her as a friend, either. She barely knew her. And even friends she'd known for years had turned their backs on her. ''I take it Alex is your brother?'' She asked. They sort of reminded her of a pair of siblings she'd seen once. Always fighting.

Malyx grinned. ''Really?'' He asked. ''Thanks!'' Folding it up carefully and putting it in his pocket, he wondered what else to say to this girl. She is quite pretty, he thought. I wasn't lying there.

Mantalk grinned. ''Sure. I don't mind.'' He said, holding his hand out to the artistic girl. He decided she was pretty cool, and would make sure she got in with the popular crowd at this school.

Ariatka was feeling a bit foolish now. ''Oh, sorry. It's just, you talk to each other like siblings.'' She sighed, deciding she would definitely keep to hrself after this.
