"Great," Thomas scrunched up his face and set up his shield. It was like a tornado, whipping around, but not hurting Thomas, it seemed to be protecting him.
((My fail was bigger than your fail.anyway, Thomas has a crush on Grace, kay? just so it'll be more interesting.))

Grace looked at the tornado and a.sses.sed how she would break through it. Then, it hit her. She jumped up off of the ground, and used the tornado's wind power to push her into the center where Thomas was. Once she was there, she started whacking at his feet to try and make the tornado dissipate into thin air. ((Okay. That will make it more interesting.))

Thomas llifted his hands and concentrated, tryed to feel the wind, and made it force Grace back out of the barrier.
"Watch it!" Professor Halting yelled, as Thomas's barrier started to go slightly out of control. The wind was so strong, that papers were flying everywhere, and the Professor scrambled to get them back in order.

Grace lost her concentration when the Professor yelled. She flew back out of the tornado and hit the wall. It didn't hurt her, it just knocked the breath out of her. Grace gasped and regained her breath before taking her fighting stance again. She put her blade at an angle as to slice through the tornado and swung, but the tornado bended the air around her sword so that it twisted out of her hand. Once the sword hit the ground, it dissipated. "Crud," Grace said under her breath, staring where her sword used to be.

After everything was restored to normal, Professor Halting explained why Grace's sword had disappeared.
"When you have lost contact with your item," the Professor began, "it will dissapate. You have heard stories about someone's fire going out of control and destroying forests, right? Well, that would never happen. You must have contact through mind or touch for it to continue, and if a mistake happened, a smart people would stop the connection."
"Cl@ss dismissed. Homework: practice dueling with your partner, or someone else over the week."
Sam grabbed his pack. It was now animal taming, a specia cl@ss only for earth elementals. Each elemenal had certain optional cl@sses they could take, and Sam enrolled in an earth-element based cl@ss.

Grace walked from her cl*censored* to break. It was her free period. She walked to the area where all of the kids who were on break congregated. She sat down on a table and pulled something out of her back pocket. It was a small notebook and a pen. She began drawing herself with a sliver of light in her hand on the page. She didn't know too many people here. Mlle bounced over to Grace and looked at her drawing. "Wow, Grace," she said, "that's really good. You're quite the artist."

Sam p@ssed Mlle and Grace, but not without glancing their way. He stared at Grace's drawing, mesmerised, before quickly stepping away, hoping they hadn't noticed.

((Sure. By AT Teacher, do you mean his animal taming cla.ss teacher?)) Mlle looked at Sam and smiled warmly, but he didn't see her due to him walking away. "What's up with him?" Mlle asked, her long blonde hair swishing behind her. "I don't know, but I'm questioning him this afternoon," Grace replied while she finished shading her drawing. "Okay. Well, I have to go talk to Jake before the break is over." Mlle smiled. She had a crush on Jake. "Oh boy," Grace said, laughing. "Oh hush! At least I do like someone," Mlle said before running off to Jake. Grace sat there for a minute before thinking. She really did need to have a crush on someone. It would bring more excitement into her life. But none of the guys here had appealed to her. Maybe that's because she only knew a few. "I need to start talking more," she said to herself before putting her notebook back into her pocket.

((Okay.)) Miss Alex waited patiently for the rest of her cl*censored* to arrive. Her curly brown hair hung around her face like vines. She walked around the cla.ssroom quietly and glanced at the clock every now and then. Any student that was late would be locked out. They knew that too. Miss Alex was strict, but she was one of the nices teachers here at this school. She had a small bird perched on her shoulder who would say, "Hello," to students who came in and out of the cla.ssroom.

Sam entered the 'cl@ssroom' swiftly. The AT room couldn't be alled a c@ssroom, as it was outdoors. He sat crosslegged down on the dewy, fresh scented gr@ss, and waited for the pretty Miss Alex to speak. To p@ss time, he stared at the arriving students. All of them were earth types, of course, and it seemed most of them had brown hair.

Miss Alex whistled to get the students' attention. "It is time to begin. All right. Before you can tame an animal, you must know why they trust earth elementals so much. Can anyone answer that question for me?" She waited a moment. No hands were raised. "If there isn't a volunteer, there will be a victim," she said smiling. "Sam, how about you answer it for me." Miss Alex patted her bird and he cooed quietly.

Sam blinked. "Because earth types are the most connected to the earth, and they don't damage their land, and we can heal them?" He stabbed at the question blindly. He hated being asked questions andomly like that.

"Good," Miss Alex said, clapping slightly. "Now, can anyone tell me who animals trust the most next to earth elementals?" She looked around one hand was up. "Yes, Jake." Jake swished some of his curly dark brown hair out of his eyes. "Light elementals." "And why?" Miss Alex asked, testing Jake's knowledge. "Light elementals resemble the sun, but aren't as destructive as fire." "Good, Jake. Now, cla.ss," she pointed to a large pen full of animals. "Choose one animal from that pen over there. Choose wisely because you will be stuck with him in cl*censored* for the rest of the year. That animal will be the animal that you are required to train. Alright, who wants to go first? Just step up to the cage and go inside. Pick up your animal and take it back out." The pen had a closed in top and birds were perched on the branches of the tree in the middle of the pen. "As you can see, we are only focusing on the smaller animals for now. Halfway through the year, you will be partnered up and you and your partner will be required to train a larger animal, such as a wolf or a bear, together."

Sam picked a simple small brown bird. She zoomed around Sam's head gleefully, making tiny tittering noises as it went.
"Stop," Sam whispered sternly, and the bird stopped, perching on Sam's blonde hair. It looked quite comical, as the bird decided to make itself at home, and wiggled itself a comfortable nest-like thing in Sam's hair.
"Stop, you!" Sam laughed at the bird, who ignored him.

Miss Alex whistled a small tune and laughed at Sam. "If your animal doesn't obey you, simply use body language. I know that this sounds retarded, but try growing instead of saying stop." Miss Alex's bird whistled the same tune that she was whistling.
