Hey there.  You may remember me as Kate978, but probably not.  Anyway, I've returned from the grave to Rp once more after such a long hiatus.

Welcome
to a world of fantasy, mystery, and perhaps even fear.  Most humans are unaware of the existence of
supernatural beings, passing them off as mere fairy tales.  But they are as real as anything else.  Most of them are reluctant to reveal
themselves to the often unforgiving humans, and most of them are creatures of
the night.

Some examples of supernaturals:

Vampires- There are two types of vampires: Born and
turned.  The born vamps are immortal and
have the ability to turn humans into vamps. 
Turned vamps have a lifespan of around 2000 years and cannot turn
humans.  Neither of them have fangs,
despite the common misconception.  They
do not sleep in coffins either, and most of their diet consists of the same
foods humans eat.  They do have a need
for human blood, however, and this need can shift their eyes from their natural
color to a deep crimson.  The sun is
harsh on a vampire’s skin, so many of them chose to stay inside when sunlight
is present.

Fairies- Fairies are not the little butterfly- like
creatures featured in children’s tales. 
They are about the same size as humans, with wings that are transparent
unless under moonlight.  The moon is the
main source of a fairy’s power, and they grow very ill if deprived of the moon’s
rays for too long.  They are most noted
for their ability to fly, but they also have a way with animals, and wild
creatures are often more calm around them.

Shifters- Shifters can morph into any living being they have
witnessed in the past.  They do NOT,
however, take on the powers of any supernatural they turn into.

Witches- No, they’re not green or covered in warts.  Witches specialize in the area of magic.  Most of them pick one discipline within
magic, such as ice, fire, mind (telekinesis, telepathy), etc.  The whole broom thing is not real, but many
of them do have an affinity for felines.

Bio:

Name: Charlotte Lamia

Age: She looks around 20, although she is immortal and is actually around 400 thousand years old.

Gender: Female

Supernatural: She is a descendent of an ancient Queen of Libya named Lamia; who was cursed by the Greek Goddess Hera, because she was a mistress of Zeus.

Personality: Cruel and unforgiving, she is just plain mean. The few times she's revealed herself to humans she's been sarcastic, rude, and sadistic, before devouring them. There is not one nice bone in her body.

History: She's been hunted many times over her long life, been nearly murdered on 3 occasions; and each experience has changed her to be as cruel as she is. She had a traumatizing experience with her ancient descendent when she was 50 thousand years old, the Queen of Libya taunting her and even chopping off the tip of her tail. Thankfully it grew back, but she is a little nervous with using her tail in weird ways.

Other: She has a highly poisonous venom, as she is a mythical snake creature. She uses the venom in her long fingernails, and her long spine-like canines.

Charlotte exited her grand manor, slithering along the smoothed road in the shadows, her forked tongue flicking out every so often. She knew this place like the back of her hand, she reflected as she slithered to a pond that was near her place. Charlotte saw a pebble bounce on the still water of the clear pond and recoiled, hiding in the few bushes that provided shade for small creatures during the day.

The cold wind hissed past the Lamia, and she shivered slightly; not from the cold, but from the freshness. She should be bunked up in her manor, waiting for day when foolish mundanes are wandering around; not watching this obviously foolish person throw pebbles into a pond. She hissed lowly, agitation slowly setting in as she turned to slither away.
