Naru took a few seconds to take it in. "What happened?" He asked, not emotion in his voice. He didn't bother opening the door.

"Well, uh, they were down by the water." John said walking into the room. "Lin said that he and Akatsuki were talking when all of a sudden she was pulled down. Lin went in after her, but then whatever it was changed targets and tried to drown Lin. He's alright, but Akatsuki might have saved his life. We dont exactly know what she did but she almost stopped breathing so Lin called the ambulence and hopped in with it." John sighed waiting for Naru to explode.

Mai opened her eyes, looking around in the dream state. "Great I'm here." She whispered wandering around. She noticed something in the water, pulling Akatsuki down. "No!" She yelled out, watching her sink from the building. She sighed as Lin pulled her out and she continued to wander searching for fox fires and such. "There is absolutely nothing here." She grumbled trying to wake up. She went part way but was slung back to where she started. "Uh-oh." She looked down at her body, seeing something circle around her head and arm. She saw John walk into the room Naru was in, looking a little down cast. She walked into the room, hearing John's story. "Hey! It's me, Mai! I cant wake up, someone help!" SHe pleaded, though she didnt know if anyone could hear her.

John shived slightly as the room began to decrease in tempature.

Naru gritted his teeth. "Why were you not with them?" He hissed, turning around to face them. He was about to explode, when the room suddenly got colder. "What going on?" he stood up and jotted down stairs, Mai was still asleep. For some wierd reason, he felt uneasy. "How is Mai?" He asked. "How long has she been sleeping?" Though he felt, and saw nothing, he still felt as if something was wrong.

John followed Naru to Mai's sleeping form. "She has been sleeping ever since she was attacked." He said, his eyes widening as he ran over to her trying to wake her up. "What do we do?" He asked worry crossing his features. "John, I'm right here." Mai sighed knowing it was useless. She felt something slither by her foot, the spirit of a rattle snack, though this one wasnt evil. She screamed and jumped into Naru's arm like she did when something surprised her.

Naru hissed. "I can't believe that you would let this happen!" he exploded. Something icy touched his arm and he flinched. "Mai? Are you here?" he asked, impatience and worry in his voice. He sighed. "There's nothing we can do about Mai." He gritted his teeth.

"Naru? Are you feeling alright?" John asked seeing as Naru was now talking to the room. "Do you think Mai is here while in her dream state?" He asked now very confused. Mai suddenly got an idea, leaving Naru's side and taking John's head in her hands, making him nod. "Hey!" He said in alarm, a smile spreading across her face as she skipped over to Monk. She pulled on his ear, bringing his head down to her eye level. "Woah, this is so cool" She exclaimed.

((Lets pretend that Monk can hear her, but only because she is currently touching him... brb, i have to go pick up ice cream.))

"Fine." Naru snarled. He watched the others. "Are you alright?" He asked them. "Owwww!" Monk snapped as something grabbed his ear and brought him down. "As a matter of fact, I think I do." Naru answered John, a slight smirk on his face. "Mai? Is this you?" Monk asked, comfused. "I can here you!"

"You can hear me?" Mai asked surprised, forgetting that she was holding Monk's ear. She gasped letting go of Monk, rushing over to Naru and taking hold of his wrist. "Can you hear me now?" John looked at Monk with a strange look. "I cant hear anybody." John sighed, not understanding what was going on.
