OOC: Heh heh. Myth-Market was thing this I made up - I got the idea from the Troll Market from Hellboy. It's a place of trading and merchandising between fantatsical creatures, hiding away from the humans up above... I loved the idea so much I kinda decided to bring it into the roleplay. :) My only fear is lurkers possibly stealing it... :/ People have a tendancy to do that.

"No," Yingir said, not with particular enthusiasm but not skeptically either. More like she half-sighed it. "We'll be fine, nothing is particularly heavy as it is. Besides, Utoche's occupation is the load-carrier - it's the only thing keeping him in my troupe!"

Load-carrier? Utoche snorted. Only because you're not strong enough!

Yingir gave a strange, laughing smile that only twisted the fleshy part of her mouth. The gryphon then shouldered her own pack, after first tying around her head a strange-looking headpiece made of a simple dark leather, a little similar to the protective caps given to falcons before taking flight. A further pair of flaps descended on either side of her head, modestly bearing little sown threads of different shades of blue and a few small beads. Around her forelegs she tied a pair of tough greaves made of hide, stitched together by criss-crossing lengths of black string. Around her shoulders and neck, she added a thickset scarf of the deepest navy with a small, Anglo-Saxon necklace that emphaised her supposedly-spiritual self. Lastsly, she picked up yet another stick - this time a Nordic staff bearing indecipherable swrls and patterns of the most confusing fashion - of which she strapped across her back lying comfortably between her two wings, tied down by a harness a little like Utoche's - only far les heavily-loaded. A small pouch hung around her neck, its contents unseen.

She turned away as if to head off, only to face the Kirin again and cast one more glance at Britten, as if remembering something. "What's your name? I never asked, I'm sorry." Utoche gave a slightly smug-sounding snort.

Helia flapped over to them, wondering why they were going to myth-market. "Hey, why are you going to myth market?" It asked, watching them with bright eyes. Her voice was gentle, but curious. She hadn't been out of her realm much and some places were knew to her..

Both Pegasus and gryphon whipped around at the unexpected figure as it materiallized out of the trees, Utoche with his ears drawn right back and one hind leg prepared to kick. At seeing that the newcomer wasn't going to attack, he eased himself, but retained a watchful and suspicious stance.

 Yingir, whose ex
pression was mellow at first, glared with unmasked hostility at the stranger - an impressive-looking dragon, scaled white and gold, with a pair of feathery, angelic wings unusual for the majority of its kind. She was mostly irritated that they'd been snuck up on, but she was also curiously trying to reach into every nook and cranny of her mind and try to recall anything she'd heard about this strange-looking creature. A rare-looking organism of course, but it was the name of the species that she wanted.

Other matters had to be solved first. "Eavesdropping, were we?" she questioned a little coldly, tipping her head to one side. "Since you were all too keen to listen in on our conversation here, why don't you answer that question for yourself?"

Utoche gave a whicker, and narrowed his mental field of communication so that Yingir was the only one listening. Easy, Gira, he warned. We don't know what this dragon's capable of. Calm down; you could provoke... The Pegasus raised a head, and sniffed. Was his face able to reveal emotion, he would've looked startled. ...It. A wary, but thoughtful, pause. This creature seems to have no gender.

As if she knew what Yingir was thinking, It answered. "I*m an angel dragon... thing. Last one,but more of a hybrid, being half water dragon." she realized she yhad started to babble and closed her mouth, looking embarressed. She folded her feathery wings around her golden white body. "I*m sorry for eavesdropping. I haven't been around others in a while, mostly been alone." Her maw stretched into a smile, but she stopped watching them with carefull eyes.

Helia, it, cocked its head. "Who are You?" It asked and then added. "I*m Heleosa or Helia or Helio. I don't know my gender and I am 200 years old." she shifted her weight, moving her legs to site down...

Yingir continued to frown, but more in puzzlement than anger. Had this dragon really been able to read her thoughts? As soon as she'd started wondering the creature's origins, she - it - spoke as if in answer! Put on edge and instantly wary, she intensified her mental barriers - just in case - and gave a brief shake of her head, as if clearing it of dizzyness. And the gryphon was about to spit back a reply regarding not being able to keep one's mouth shut about themselves, but eased down. Even if the dragon was 200 years old, who knows what the equivalent was in gryphon years? Perhaps she was still a chick - or, more accurately, a youngster? When Yingir was younger than an adolescent, she, too, wasn't one for being particularly protective of one's personal information. At remembering her own rashness during youth, the gryphon visibly relaxed and decided to cool her flaring temper. She was just acting crabby - as usual.

But still she was reluctant to share her identity so soon, even if the dragon was still an inquisitive kid. Yingir didn't enjoy being secretive and untrustworthy, but she'd encountered enough shapeshifters to know that everyone isn't what they seem. A name was a valuable tool. So, instead, she simply replied: "My personal name is not something to be given out so soon, although my occupation alone should satisfy your curiosity. Myself and my Pegasus friend here are travellers - hermits, if you like, or pilgrims. Our purpose is confidential." She blinked. "I apologise if I come off cold with you."

Utoche gave a snort, as if a little displeased by Yingir's paranoia. But he stuck with her choice, trusting her judgement, and openly greeted Hileosa: It's nice to meet you. I've never met something like you. Not genderless, but a dragon of your being. Sorry to hear you're going extinct.

"Why are extinct, but ITs alright, we were too proud for our own good." The young dragon said with a flick of her tail. "Alright, so your mysterious and secretive, I*m alright with that. I haven't see others in over 50 years, so its good to see some." She smiled and started to get up. "Still, Why are you going to Myth Market." Her head cocked with curiostiy...

OOC: Feyth - Cool. :D That looks really original.  Finally, I can visualise her. ^^ And don't worry about it - I'd sooner people actually drew their own characters rather than pull off some image they found on Google. ;/ Great work, I really like it. :D Ears, legs and face are really cool-looking. ^^
Larg - Go ahead. :) Although I'd prefer it if you posted it here, where all players can see it.

Yingir uttered a minute sigh. Not of annoyance or impatience. Well, not a lot. It consisted mainly of tiredness, but nevertheless. The Angel Dragon's enthusiasm was startling to the gryphon; she rarely encountered youngsters, even less so ones who weren't frightened by her crabby, magelike exterior.

Patiently, but not cynically, she repeated: "We're heading for the Myth-Market at Weistham for provisions. Supplies. We're running short of essentials." She began to step forward, giving the dragon a wide enough berth. Even for a youngster, she still seemed larger than the Nordic gryphon, and Yingir decided to be cautious. Offering a well-meaning nod to the dragon, she added: "If you need some company, you can follow us." Then, without another word, she continued on her way.

Utoche began to follow, obediently tracing the invisible path the gryphon had laid. He gave a snort and a toss of his head, rustling his colourful braids once again. Don't mind my friend. Come with us if it suits you. He "spoke" with a friendly tone of voice, not like the sligtly forced way Yingir spoke with, and he gave a beckoning flick of his tail - to both Britten and Hileosa now, it seemed.

Hilea stood up as the the gryphon moved back a little. "You asren't scared of me, are you?" She asked, seeming sad at the possibility. It sighed, no it was probably something else. she stetched her legs out and wandered after them, her white/blue and gold pelt glittering in the sunlight.

It being Hilea, was one for talking, so the moment she got to following them, she started being curious. "What are you?" She askedUtoche, staring at him with her big silver eyes...

((Alright, I know the picture was horrible, but I hope that it gave you a good idea of what it looks like.))

OOC: It wasn't horrible, Fayth. ;/ I found it quite cute actually. And I appreciate the fact that you went and did your own drawing. I know I said it before, but it really bothers me when kids (not *censored*uming you are one xD) just use any old piece of artwork and don't even care to credit the maker. I hate that with a p*censored*ion. And I like your illustration. Quite a lot, actually. c:

Utoche gavea self-conscious flick of his head and ruffled his wings slightly. I'm a Pegasus, he began to explain in a modest form of tone. A winged horse - as you can see. But I'm a particular breed of Pegasus; I was born in a faraway continent called America. He gave a brief dip of his head to gesture at the yellow, lime-green and blue beads that clacked softly against oneanother, and the black-tipped white feathers behind his ears. See these? The beads are of genuine Indian make, and the feathers are from an eagle. I was given them during a ceremony, from the tribespeople that decreed my herd sacred had upheld. They honour us annually with their small tokens on friendship and trust, small accessories to liven up our appearance and prove our worth. My herd back at home are held in high regard by the hunters that sometimes set their tribes in the same valley as us - my birthland. He paused. I'm hoping to go back someday and see if much has changed.

Yingir up ahead, who had ignored Hileosa's question, tilted her head slightly as she listened to her comrade's words. He'd said the same things to her, months and months ago, when they were both inexperienced of each other. Hearing him repeat the same facts and tales saddened her slightly, for he was bonding with Hileosa, but on the other claw, she didn't mind. All that mattered to her, really, was reaching Weistham. Also, she believed that as soon as they reached the nearest Myth-Market, the Angel Dragon would leave them in search of other friends. Maybe even Britten, too.

It hadn't occurred to the gryphon that they might forge strong friendships with the pair of newcomers, as it clearly had to Utoche.
