Avalia shrugged, making herself a cheese sandwhich which occupied her for a few minutes. When she was done, she looked to the running water that was near the back side of her 'house' and sighed longingly. The male had gone off for a phone call, now was a great time for a swim. She slipped into her bathing suit and crawled into the water. As soon as she hit the liquid, her legs melded together and her feet spread, forming a long blue tail, which had two fins coming from her hips that elongated to make a ribbony sort of thing.. Her hair changed color to deep blue as she went underwater, feeling free...

Blake waited until his phone had vibrated again before he answered it. Avalia had since disappeared inside her the rest of her cave-home. "Hello," he said into the mic. The voice on the other end of the line was touched with anger as it spoke in a half-baritone and half-bark. Blake flinched and held the earpiece away a few inches. "Uh... Sorry about that sir," he said, even though his tone didn't sound very sincere. The man spoke again and Blake froze.
He had a job now. And it was to protect the woman he was with while hunting down those that wanted her head at the same time.
Blake muttered a curse as he hung up. Replacing the phone, he moved a chair and sat down, his head in his hands as he rubbed his eyes. This day was getting better and better.

"Something the matter?" Avalia asked as she stuck her head above water. "Is your boss angry with you?" She got out of the water and dried herself off by heating herself up immensly, in the process losing her bones for a moment before she was able to bring them back. After all, her bones, the outer part, were bones, but inside the bones was filled with ice or, now, water. She waited untill she could walk again, her tail dissapearing, and walked over to where Blake was sitting. She cocked her head as she waited for a reply...

Blake shook his head. "My CO is always angry with me for some reason or another, but I just got a new job assignment," he said as he lowered his hands and glanced up at Avalia. Then, he stood and tilted his head down a bit so he could look at her. "Instead of having to go track somebody down and kill them, I've been assigned to protect somebody another person wants dead. And... uh... That person would be you." He slid his hands back into his his pants pockets as he waited for her reaction.

"Hmmmm.... How does this guy even know me." she said calmly, but inside, her mind was reeling. Me, needing protection?! Why!? She thought, wondering why this demon was so interested in her. "Any idea from who? Cause if its just that demon, I think I can take him next time. Not that I don't want you around..." she assured him quickly...

Blake shrugged his shoulders. He honestly didn't know and is CO didn't tell him much other than to protect this woman with his life. Which would be sort of easy with his regenerative powers. But, from the sound of it, Avalia didn't really want him to fight her battles for her. Oh well.

Blake sighed and closed his eyes. When he opened them, his green eyes glowed a soft gold as he glanced around the cave, looking for anything that could be used against them if Avalia's home was compromised. He didn't see anything that was of relative importance though. "Do you have other entrances to your... home?" he asked, keeping his eyes roaming around instead of flicking them to her; almost afraid of what he might see.

"Actually, there is one other, but it is so secret that not even I remember where it is. Although, I do now. It is through that door, there is an underground passageway to here. I only use it in emergencies." She said, tapping her head as she thought...

Blake nodded slightly at that. He took that into consideration with the fact of an underwater entrance and the one that they had used to enter the cavern. He blinked his eyes and the golden glow vanished. Turning his attention back to Avalia, he asked; "Since I am your guest for an indefinite period of time, were would you like me to stay?

"Well, you could stay near the back enterence, I sleep underwater in the cavern. There is not really a bed though, just really soft mos-" she was cut off as she felt a prescence.
"Avalia.... AVALIA!...AVALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!" A voice moaned, echoing off the walls of the cave. Avalia whipped out ehr knife, looking for the source of the noise before she finally found it. A demon about 6 feet tall, hiding in the shadows...

When the moan first started, Blake went on the offensive. His stance changed and he clenched his hands into fists. Metallic glints just starting to show between his knuckles. As Avalia locked her gaze on the demon, Blake was immediately between the both of them, his claws out and gleaming as his eyes glowed gold. His stance was wide and leaned more towards the demon in the shadows, ready to attack if need be.
He bared his teeth into a snarl as he demanded; "What do you want with Avalia, demon!" His bicep twitched slightly as he narrowed his eyes.

((hmmm... what would a demon want with Avalia. -thinks-))
"WE WANT HER DEAD!" He screeched in a loud voice, obviously not as practiced as being calm as the other demon had been.
"Why, what have I ever done to you." Avalia inquired calmly, stepping up beside her new bodyguard. "I have no special powers, I am just an ordinary elemental."
The demon's eyes glinted.
Of Fire and of Ice
One was created
Her eyes like water
Calm and Flowing
Her voice like fire
Deadly flames
Demons Fear her
power
that she does not know.
One can calm her spirit
Joining with her to kill
the devil's spawn.
He spoke with a sort of strange quietness and Avalia wondered whether the language was latin or something, but either way, what he said to her made no sense. She sighed and folded her arms. "Begone Demon." He eyes flashed angrily as she made her dagger into more of a sword.

Blake's brows furrowed at the ancient language the demon spoke. He hadn't been ready for it so it sort of caught him off guard; something he wasn't used to. He caught fire and ice and killing the devil's spawn, but that was about it since his mind didn't move fast enough to translate the rest.
"What the hell is that even supposed to mean, demon?" Blake asked as his eyes flicked to Avalia. He had just now realized she had stepped up beside him. "Her? 'Cause she only has ice and water. Fire isn't really her forte."

The demon repeated what he had said, slower this time. You are her bodyguard, are you not. Well, protect her from this. The demon said and rammed his fist into Avalia's stomach with lightning speed, causing her to cry out in pain and fall to the ground. She stood up shakily and ran her ice sword through the demon. "Silly girl, don't you know that we can't be harmed by ice." The demon said, switching back to english. Avalia's eyes flicked towards her pool of water and she moved her hands, bringing down a large amount of it on top of the demon, only seeming to make him angrier. She growled, feeling weak and unneeded...

A very colourful curse sprang from Blake's lips. She got hurt since he wasn't doing a very good job of protecting her. In fact, he wasn't good at protection. Period. He was mostly a slice their heads off kind of guy. He was also still processing what the demon had just told him. Retracting all but one claw on his right hand, he slipped around the demon with the skills that had been drilled into his head since god-knows-when. When he had a good spot, he slid up and slipped the metal blade between the demon's ribs. And the metal cut through the creature's spine; severing the spinal cord.
"I'll protect Avalia as long as there is still breath in this body," Blake whispered, in Latin, in the demon's ear. His gold glowing green eyes narrowed before the other two claw on his right hand unsheathed into the demon's back as well.

"You can't kill me." The demon hissed as the claws slide into hm, but he had to admit, the pan was unbeareable. His eyes flashed angrily and he cursed as he was pulled back into hell. Avalia was so shaken that she had to sit down.
"What did he want from me?" She asked herself, putting her head in her hands...

Blake hissed as the demon vanished. His metallic claws were once again streaked with green blood before they slid back into his arm. If that couldn't kill the hellspawn bastard then he'll have to think of another way to kill the creature. But at the moment, he turned his attentions to Avalia, blinking as he did so to get the golden glow to vanish from his eyes. Then, he repeated -- in English -- what the demon had said in Latin; "Of Fire and of Ice
One was created
Her eyes like water
Calm and Flowing
