Desria trotted up the Pokemon center, regretting slightly in her choice of letting Skye out now that rain was tumbling down from the sky at an ever growing rate. Glancing to her side she gave the scizor a weak grin, only to be given a deep scowl in response. "I can't predict the weather you know," Desria grumbled under her breath, already fumbling for a Pokeball. Releasing the latch she let the disgruntled Pokemon back into his ball, snapping it shut with a sigh. "Guess I choose you, Rue," she muttered, coming to a stop so she could let out her quagsire. Ever the bright one, Rue made a happy noise at the back of her throat as the rain pattered down on her back, rubbing herself all over Desria's legs. "You're making me wet silly," Desria said with a smile, and started walking towards the Pokemon center again, though at a slower pace to make up for the squat Pokemon's short legs. As she neared the short red building Desria looked up just in time to see a beautiful Altaria dive down from the sky in a flash of light, slicing through a pecha berry as if it was paper. "Woah," the girl murmured in awe, though Rue, who had been more intent in splashing in the muddy puddles by the side of the road, only looked up to sound a curious burble before her attention was diverted again. Grabbing Rue by the scruff Desria ushered the Pokemon along ahead of her so she could see what was going on. "Looks like there are some people training here," the girl said with a wide grin. "Want to join in?" "Your Pokemon has some nice moves!" Desria called out to the other female trainer, waving one arm in greeting.

Peering at Desria, Greylocke broke into a wide grin. "Thanks! Your Quagsire's pretty cute!" She called back in greeting, waving her hand in response. "What's your name? I'm Greylocke, and this is Alto. I was too lazy to give her a nickname when I got her, so I make up a bunch for her." Humming happily, Altaria floated up to the air like a soft, puffy cloud, and landed just as softly in front of Desria. "Taaaria!" She called, the high note loud, but pretty all the same. Jogging lightly over to the other trainer, Greylocke flung an arm over Altaria's neck, as if they were both old human friends. Which they were. But not human. "So, what brings you this fair city? Going to the Gym, pa.ssing by, or just sightseeing?"

"Training, mostly. I still don't have the eight gym badge and I'm worried my Pokemon aren't strong enough yet. I'm the kind of person who doesn't take chances." Desria looked around for Rue, and realized that her quagsire had run up to the altaria burbling cheerfully. "Looks like Rue wants to be friends," she said with a laugh. Remembering the girl, Greylocke's, first question, Desria blinked. "Ah, I'm Desria by the way. And that over there is Rue. She's the happy one of the bunch as you can see. I'm mostly stuck with temperamental Pokemon. Looking around quickly she let out a nervous laugh. "Of course, I don't tell them that."

Laughing, Greylocke beckoned to Sceptile and Weavile, who had both stopped sparring and gazed at the stranger with menacing glares. "Well, if you're training, why not have a match against us? It'll help us train for our upcoming battle with some old friends, and plus, we may learn new strategies against each other!" As Sceptile and Weavile paced slowly over to Greylocke, she looked at them and asked quietly, "Did you help Sceptile stop acting like a tree, and more like a reed?" Nodding, Weavile cuffed Sceptile on the head. Turning back to Desria, she grinned. "These two are Sceptile and Weavile. Weavile here is Scept's mentor, since they're both so similar in fighting styles. I'd introduce you to the others, but I don't want to ruin the surprise that Ty's gonna give you." Laughing, Greylocke gasped out, "So what do you say to that battle?"

((*headdesheaddeskheaddeskheaddesk* NEED MOTIVATION!)) Nyla watched her two Dragonairs carefully as they situated themselves in the air above a large, empty space just a short ways away. Aira was just a little below Dragom, and slightly to the left. They were both looking at her expectantly. Though in a normal battle, she would have had to tell them what to do, she had already told them that they were practicing Draco Meteor. With a nod, Dragom twisted higher into the air, and used Fire Blast. Aira, almost as soon as he'd moved, looped up, and as she turned down, a meteor was summoned from the clear sky that strengthened Fire Blast. Aira directed the meteor through the flames, and to a skidding stop in the middle of the empty area, the purple and red fires dying around it. Normally, Aira would be near merciless, and both summon a larger meteor, and plunge it straight down. But, for practicing purposes, she used a meteor no larger than Nyla herself. They couldn't really practice Dragom's Draco Meteor at the moment. There wasn't a large enough body of water around for that. And his was strong enough. So, after a few more rounds of Aira's, all of which were used to shatter the meteor before them, the two Dragonair landed, exhausted, but proud. Nyla gave them each a Leppa Berry, and pat their heads softly. "Good job, you two. Maybe we'll find a double battle in this town. You two could use some real practice." Aira nodded in approval, and Dragom straightened proudly.

"I say sure thing~" Desria said with a big grin. "I'll use Skye and...hmm...why not Rue? She's always ready to fight." Tossing another Pokeball up in the air she smiled as Skye flashed out, landing on the ground squarely and clicking his claws in an intimidating way. "This guy over here," she said, petting Skye's head, "is the one who's constantly giving me dirty looks." As if to prove her point Skye growled at her and nipped at her hand, causing the trainer to slap his metal shoulder angrily. "So my scizor and quagsire against your sceptile and weavile? Seems like a fair fight as any." Of course, Rue hadn't been paying attention at all, too intent in feeling the Altaria's downy feathers curiously.

Shaking her head, Greylocke laughed. "Oh no, Scept has already been trained. How about say, Weavile and Alto?" Looking up at the sound of her name, the Altaria chirped questioningly. Shaking her head in the universal sign of, "Nothing," Greylocke watched as Altaria fluffed her wings in Rue's face. "Oh course, if we can keep Alt and Rue apart long enough to have a decent battle." Chuckling a bit, she shook her head, still watching the Quagsire and the Altaria play.

"A.ssuming," Desria echoed with a chuckle. "But Rue's well behaved. I just need incentive..ah ha~" Digging through her pack Desria came up with a sweet pecha berry, and waved it in the air teasingly. "Rue!" she called out to her quagsire, and grinned as the water pokemon bounded forwards and leaped into the air with surprising dexterity. "Good thing I trained your agility~" Desria said, rubbing Rue's head fondly. "Up for a two-on-two battle with Alto and Weavile?" she asked, this time directing the question at Skye. Inclining his head slightly the scizor fanned out his wings and buzzed with excitement. "I'll take that as a yes," Desria said with a small laugh. [For the battle, should we figure out the speed and stuff of the Pokemon first? o3o]

(( :P I'm back.)) Nodding, she pulled out her whistle, and blew; hard. "All right! Come on Weavile, Altaria! Let's do this!" Running lightly, Weavile leapt nimbly in front of Greylock, grinning in cruel anticipation. "Vile vile!" Humming, Altaria floated breezily over to Weavile's side and hovered lightly. "Taria! Taria!" Flapping her wings lightly, a light breeze fluttering the gr*censored*. Sobering, Greylocke stared hard at the duo. "All right, let's do this. Give it your all okay guys? Make this the best battle you've ever fought. This is gonna be TOTALLY AWESOME!" Pumping her fist in the air, Greylocke let loose another breezy laugh. Turning to Desria, Greylocke asked, "Do you mind if I let the rest of my pokemon watch? They'll need the experience, watching the double battle."

Nyla was about to start changing to the Blizzard and Draco Meteor combo when she noticed a small, but noticeable commotion. Returning Dragom and Aira to their respective Pokeballs, she started towards the two Trainers who seemed about to have a doule battle. As she walked over, though, Teva popped out of her Pokeball, obviously displeased. But Nyla just waved away her protests and watched the two. maybe she could learn a trick or two by watching them. Hey, maybe one would want to battle her later. Dragom and Aira sure needed it. Teva, finally, sat down at her Trainer's feet, looking up and scowling every now and then, all in all, being sour.

"'Course not~" Desria said kindly. "Might as well let Glyph get some info as well. You could say -as far as considering technique- he's the baby of the group." Letting out her rather timid larvitar the girl motioned for Rue and Skye to get into their positions. "Do you want to ask another trainer to judge?" Desria asked in hindsight after a few heartbeats. "It might get confusing if we both try to." [Not my best post. lD]
