"I can see you like the battle~" Desria said with a laugh, and patted her own larvitar on his head. The tiny creature made a rough purring sound and looked at his evolved counter-part, eyes wide. "That's right Glyph. If you train enough you'll evolve into that monster over there. Well, first there's another evolution...I forget what it's called, but after that, tyranitar." Nuzzling her gently Glyph blinked the trotted off towards the sidelines.

Looking around Desria caught sight of another girl around their age, and waved her hand. "Would you mind helping us out for a tic?" the girl asked. "We need someone to judge."

Nyla glanced up when she was addressed, and nodded. "Sure. I don't mind. Well, as long as you don't mind my Pichu watching. She doesn't have much battle experience, and usually, I can't have her watch any of my battles." She pulled a Pokeball from her bag, waiting for approval before she would let Zantu out. The Spiky-Eared Pokemon always gave her a look that just made her melt inside and let her stay out longer. No use getting Zantu's hopes up if she wasn't allowed to stay. Teva just snorted, blowing her mane out of her eyes and watching the other Pokemon with a wary look. Nyla knew she'd get even tenser if Zantu was out, but she trusted that nothing would happen while Teva was around.

"'Course we don't mind," Desria snorted, hands on her hips. "We're letting our Pokemon watch, so there's no reason to exclude you. Besides, pichu are beyond adorable, but I've never seen one in real life." Smirking at Glyph, who was getting antsy at the mention of an electric Pokemon, she tut-tutted disparagingly. "There will be absolutely no conflict if the pichu comes out, Glyph. You know what the consequences are."

In answer the larvitar turned his back on Desria and began playing with the stones littered on the ground. 

Stopping in mid-twirl, Greylocke smiled at the judge. "Hey! I'm Greylocke, so glad you can judge this battle! Well, we're ready whenever you are!" Nodding in agreement, Weavile chittered impatiently while Altaria floated lightly in the air, humming to herself. Off to the side, Tyranitar roared impatiently, and let loose Hyperbeam into the air. "Ty! Stop it! Be patient all right? If you can't control yourself, go to the Pokemon Center and keep Char company." Greylocke commanded huffily, putting her hands on her hips. Grumbling, Ty shuffled off to find a large rock to sit on, though his footsteps were clearly felt through the ground. "Tar... Tar.."

Nyla smiled and nodded. Ventral took Zantu from Teva's head, and the Pichu proceeded to climb up his neck to sit on his head. She brought her hands up above her head, gesturing to the two Dragonair writhing in the sky. "Now, I want a good, clean fight. I'd not like to have to break up any fistfights over possible cheating. Ready, START!" At the final word, Teva looked dup and loosed a powerful Flamethrower into the air, and Dragom and Aira circled it until it faded.

((Fail. But it works.))

Laughing, Greylocke applauded the scene briefly, and then spun in a circle. "All right! Weavile! Use Agility, then Night slash! Altaria, you know what to do, just like we practiced all right! Show them no mercy!" Greylocke called out, attitude suddenly changing from a happy-go-lucky girl to a very determined Trainer. Lunging forward at an incredible speed, Weavile zipped around, a light pink aura surrounding her, then dashed forward towards Rue, her claws darkening in the signs of Night Slash. With a quick swipe, Weavile slashed Rue and jumped back nimbly, returning swiftly back into her original place. Altaria, taking advantage of this distraction, swooped up into the air, a good 15 feet above the players. As Altaria continued soaring up into the air, until only a flash of white could be seen from the sky, she plummeted down towards Scizor, beak open as she used Fire Blast.

[Ahmg. D: Poor Skye. He's gonna be a furious little scizor if he gets out of this. However, I'm pretty sure he can dodge this. ;D]

Giving a loud shout of alarm Desria waved her arm at Skye frantically. "Dodge!" she screamed worriedly, hoping that the scizor's speed was enough. A fire blast would leave him at critical, if not making him faint outright. Grunting with acknowledgement the steel Pokemon whipped out his wings and dashed towards the left, barely missing a huge stream of fire that spewed out of altaria's beak. It wasn't hard to decipher the suitably grumpy look on his face.

"Great job~" Desria praised. "Now, use flash cannon!" Nodding curtly the scizor held up one claw, supporting it with the other. Inside the gaping mouth of his claw a large silver ball began whirling around, light spilling out of the cracks. "Wait for it," Desria hissed, then nodded. "Now!" 

"Sci!" Skye screamed out loudly as a large streaming light shot out of his claw, heading straight for the airborne Altaria.

Turning her attention to Rue, who was staggering slightly from the damaging night slash, she frowned. "You don't have any strong moves against weavile," she muttered, "but use boiling water! Let's see if we can thaw out this chilly ice Pokemon!"

Grumbling under her breath at weavile Rue stepped back a few steps then opened her mouth, releasing a searing jet of hot water. Steam rose in the air as it arced towards the weavile. 

Humming, Altaria dodged the flash cannon neatly, though one light, downy feather fell in a spiral. "Taria!" She shrieked, and quickly used Toxic at the duo, watching in devilish delight as the ground surrounding the two quickly transformed into toxic sludge, therefore badly poisoning them. 

As Greylocke watched the jet of hot water rise towards Weavile, she called out once more, "Weavile! Take advantage of your speed! Try to jump it or dodge it, then use Brick Break!"  Nodding curtly, Weavile sped forward erratically, trying to dodge the water and managed succesfully well to dodge the hot water, and quickly punched Scizor in the facial area. Vile!" She screamed, and Greylocke saw that Weavile's forearm was scalded by the water, perhaps when droplets of it splashed on her.  

(( hehehe. This moveset surprisingly works well in the games. )) 

Grimacing at the poisonous sludge Desria tried to make the best of the situation. Though her scizor had been hit in his face, the tough metal coating Skye had managed to save him from most of the damage. Shaking his head the scizor prepared for his next move. Using a scope-lens on Skye she hoped that his next move would work. "Alright Skye, knock altaria out of the sky using night slash~" she yelled encouragingly. The red Pokemon nodded and crossed his claws -though he was shuddering slightly from the poison-, the tips pulsing black. Make a low humming noise he spread out his metallic wings, which screeched against each other, and leaped into the sky. Screaming loudly again he dashed towards the flying Pokemon, his claws held by his sides ready to slash at altaria.

Smirking she motioned for Rue to dodge out of the way of the toxic. "Good thing I used those carbos on you," she said with a wide grin. The quagsire slipped out of the way of the flying virulent purple sludge and surfed on the remaining water left over from her recent attack, landing outside of the poisonous circle. "Okay, good job Rue. Now, use ice beam on..." Pausing Desria lifted an eyebrow at Greylocke before saying quietly, "altaria."

Knowing that Rue would be in danger of weavile's attacks she grimaced before saying clearly that the quagsire should jump out of the way the moment the ice beam was launched. Nodding the water Pokemon opened her jaws wide again, and this time a large white beam that crackled with energy shot out of her mouth.

(( PEHEHEH. You forgot Brick Break is super affective on steel types liek SCizor :P  And plus, Weavile and Altaria are faster, they has advantage :P ))

Altaria, knowing everything determined on her dodging the attacks Scizor and possibly Rue would throw at her, quickly used Dragon Dance, and started flying erratically, trying to throw the Scizor off. They were evenly matched, but Greylocke had trained her in strategy and speed. Climbing higher and higher, making sure the Scizor was always to her right, Altaria suddenly shrieked and dropped squarely onto the Scizor, clutching it's wings with her talons. "Taria!" She called out to Weavile, who was grimacing in pain, and nodded. Folding her wings tightly against her, Altaria dropped hundreds of feet to the arena below, almost missing the Ice beam. But didn't. It hit her squarely in the lower chest area, and Altaria hummed in pain. Humming in pain, Altaria wobbled, and lost temporary control of her well.... controlled free fall, and recognizing her sudden decrease in control, Weavile sprinted as well as she could and suddenly, Weavile jumped upwards, using brick break once more into Scizor's chest.

[And Icebeam is 4x on Altaria. xD And not being a health Pokemon, it would damage her a lot more. o3o]
