~Flames of Freedom~
This roleplay will likely always be to join, but if you come in after it starts be sure to read a little bit of what's going on so you aren't completely lost. :3
--First paragraph is optional reading. I just think it helps set the mood~--
PLOT
Imagine living the majority of your life in a cage. Not much space to move, and many others of your kind surrounding you in a similar, pitiful situation. You, of course, are a cat. Some of those near you are young, barely even born an already locked away for who knows how long. Usually whenever someone gets to leave, it's one of the younger ones. Then, there are the older cats. Not so old they can't hunt for them selves, but no longer kits. Some of them have been here since they were only a month old, but some still remember a time when they lived outside of their cage. Some have better memories than others. Adults like these don't have very much luck getting out. Then, there are the ones that every one pities. The elderly cats. Many of them have seen years of life outside of the cages, of love and freedom for the most part, and now they are doomed to remain here until they pass on. No one ever takes an old cat.
Now, however you and your fellow captured felines have a chance at freedom! The Animal Shelter you are currently housed in is about to be on fire due to a human who dropped their cigarette roughly five miles from the location! Well, I didn't say the reason for your freedom was good, did I? In any case, a wild fire is raging towards the shelter, and in a desperate attempt to keep all of the animals from being burned alive, the panicking volunteers are going through and releasing all of the animals from their cages. Chaos reigns as cats, dogs, and several unorthodox pets flee the location. You are currently a cat in this situation. And you have to figure out what you're going to do before the fire reaches you.
TL;DR
So, the basic idea is all of these cats are in a poor, rural animal shelter in northern California. There isn't enough money to get them spayed or neutered, so they don't need to worry about that. Once these cats escape the idea is they will form a group and begin traveling together. The idea is for this to sort of get a Warriors feel to it, but if it doesn't that's okay too. Whatever happens is up to fate!
RULES
1. No controlling other cats or being invincible or any over powered controlling stuff like that. It makes things less fun.
2. You have to be a domestic cat, which means no tiger or cougars or any other interesting felines.
3. You can have unnatural fur colors, but no wings or super powers or any other thing like that which could give you an unfair advantage. Also if you make your cat neon pink, just know they'll have a hard time hunting and doing anything that requires stealth.
4. No text talk. It makes things less interesting.
5. At least two sentences per post.
6. Cats can only understand the language of other animals they grew up with, but it can only be a partial knowledge.
7. No killing someone else's cat without permission.
8. If you leave or vanish for over a week without an explanation your character will be left behind by the other cats and you will have to think up a way for your cat to return to the group if you come back. If you warn us before you leave you can choose for your cat to be left or stick with the group.
9. Please, if you haven't read the opening do so now. You only really need the second paragraph and whats below it if you don't want to read as much.
10. Use something to separate your in character from your out of character. Something like OOC: , or ((_)), or something else. It doesn't matter. Just something to let everyone know it isn't your character speaking.
11. You can have as many characters as you want, but I would like for everyone to sort of have a main character or two so they stay a little focused.
