Aint...gonna die, Rose. See, it's done. Eli assured her, using his mind, not trust himself to open his mouth. Tara cast a look at her adopted son and bit her lip. She poured some tea into a cup and hurried over to him. Eli's lip curled but he drank it gratefully. He was asleep in a few minutes, grimacing every once in a while. Turning to Rosalie, Tara rubed her hands together. "Alright then. Let's take a look. Will," The girl straightened. "Get a rag." Willow nodded and grabbed a clean cloth and twisted it. "Open your mouth please Rose," She said, smiling apologeticaly. "I have to put this in to muffle any screams you may or may not let out."

Willow put the cloth gently into the girls mouth. After xamining the wound, Tara cleaned it, the solution a stinging pulp until it became numb. Threading a needle, she carefully stitched it together.

Rosalie whimpered, twitched and cringed, bit down on the rag, and screamed several times. This thing HURT. "Finished?", She seemed to ask, cocking her head slightly.

"Almost...there." Tara said. Willow had been watching carefully. She took the needle from Tara's grasp and put it in the flame of the candle, steralizing it. Tara wipped her hands of a towel. "We're done. Willow, go see if you can find any of his clothes." The female avie nodded and ran out the door to the barn, knowing that Tara had asked her to leave so she wouldnt hang around when Tara began taking care of Eli.

"Eli will be fine." Tara stated, cutting of Elis shirt and gently turning him over to clean the arrow wound. She pulled the shaft out and took a breath, smiling at the girl. "Avies heal extremely fast." She added, more for her own sake. Her cleaning wiped away dirt and blood, reavealing a black design between his black wings. Brushing her fingers gently over it, she checked inside to make sure nothing was punctured and put some of the same pulp she'd used on Rosalie, making the sleeping boy's back arch. Biting her lip she kept on dressing the arrow hole.

I couldve said no if I wanted to. Eli said to her mind as he started coming to. Willow speedwalked into the house gracefully. She handed Rosalie some clothes. "Here." She said, folding a pair of trousers. "These were...Frind's. Sorry we couldnt get you any womens clothes," Glancing up, she smiled a little and whispered. "Tara's a bit shorter than you are."

Rosalie smiled slightly and replied, "Thanks..." She hopped down and went to the bathroom to change. She came back out soon after, now wearing the outfit that Willow had provided. "Eli, please be okay...", Rosalie thouht, hoping that he could hear her.

I'll be fine. Ouch! Tara had extended his tightly folded right wing; The arrow had pierced it. After a careful examination, Tara let out a breath. "Well," She said. "The good news is that it'll heal, the better news is that you'll live..." Tara laughed humorlessly. "The bad news is that you'll have a hole in your wing which might affect your flight." Patting the crestfallen avies bare shoulder, she started gathering her medicle items. "But you're a good flyer, you'll manage."

"Thank god..." Rosalie frowned sadly at the thought of Eli not being ale to fly propperly again. However, the thought of him living bought her spirits up, and she almost ran over and hugged Eli. Almost. Her arm was still soar. "Eli... I'm sorry...", Rosalie whispered.

Eli returned her embrace, a little awkwardly. After a few seconds, he lowered his head and softly kissed the top of hers. "Don't be." He muttered. Willow and Tara exchanged glances and smiled.
