He raised an eyebrow. Alistair was very intuitive of who was lying and who was not, and it seemed that the demon was in fact telling the truth. He sighed and stared down at the demonic creature before him. "Alright then. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Alistair." Something still seemed to be a bit off. He glanced around, looking mostly towards the trees. "Do you have a friend with you? I sensed another demon's presence."

His ex
pression softened, for real this time and not just as a cover up. Although from different circumstances, Alistair knew what it was like to be alone. He sighed and scratched the back of his head. "Alright then. We'll both check out this other demon. With any luck, it won't be a threat. But-", and he emphasized the word while holding up his finger, "if we come across any humans, you cannot harm them. Understand?"

Alistair watched in horror as the once living and breathing man limply fell to the ground like a rag doll, blood spewing from his throat. It had happened so quickly that it still had not processed through his mind, all he could do was stare. When he finally snapped to, he recalled the flash of silver that he had seen pass over the human. His eyes narrowed, his pupils turning into paper thin slits once again. He felt the small bubbling of wild rage entered his chest, like a beast trying to escape a tightly fit cage. Before it went any further, he calmed, his demonic eyes turning back to the human-like pupils they once were, but his head still throbbed. "I guess that this forest is a popular place for demons nowadays. Ironic, since it's so peaceful here." From the new scents, he gathered that there were now four others roaming around. Looking back to the human male, he solemnly leaned down and closed his opened eyelids. Then, as strange as it was for a demon, he said a prayer under his breath, wishing him safe travel to heaven.

He paused for a moment, and then shrugged. "Hey, I'm just giving you some advice. What you do is your own choice." He did not sound angry, or even upset. His voice was calm. He sighed and then started walking off. "Stay safe, my friend. If you ever need any help, just come and find me," he said over his shoulder. Saw seemed like he needed some space and from past experiences, Alistair knew when it was time to back off. There was one place in the forest that he wanted to visit anyway and luckily it wasn't too far.

After a while of walking, the dark-haired demon finally made it to his destination. Just past the thick layers of trees and brush, a clearing came into view. From a small cliff, a waterfall poured into a pool of crystal clear water, from it, a stream lead out into the forest. The place gave off a very tranquil atmosphere, filling Alistair with a great sense of calmness, but along with this calmness was also a bit of sorrow that pulled at his gut. This was the one place that she loved. He sat down near the water on the carpet of grass and gazed down into the unnaturally clear water, watching the wildlife within it move around. His golden eyes then gazed up at the sky, at the heavens. "Taleith, I hope that you know how much I miss you. They better be treating you right up there." As he stared up, the little bit of clouds that had been hiding the sun away moved, letting the light illuminate the little clearing and warm his skin. He smiled, and then plopped down on his back, putting his arms behind his head, and welcomed the warmth.
