Kazumi looked down "everytime i would get near the meat they would chase me off" she said sadly as she pounced in the water to come out with a stick.

Kaze sighed "hunters got her and drove away as i chased them soo i heared a gun shot so they killed her" he said sadly.

Onii gritted her teeth, "I was so close to getting us all away. Kandy was safe, she was hidden in the mountainside, I wasnt worried about her, she was the same age as me, she was safe and I knew it, but Roan, he was a year younger, and he didnt have a talent for escaping, Like Kandy did, or a talent for fighting, Like I did, he was a hunter at heart." she smirked for a second, "and he was amazing at it, but he couldnt run fast, or defend himself well. Me and Roan were only a short sprint from the rocks, I had stopped to fight a dog, and he went ahead without me, I heard a gunshot and thought I was dead, but then I heard Roan cry out in pain, the dog left me to fetch Roan's dead body for his master. I was right there, yet helpless to do anything. I thought Roan was dead, but he wasnt. His eyes pleaded for help as the dog ran past me, and I wanted so badly to help him, but the hunter picked him up, saw he was alive, and shot him again. I feel like it was me who died that day, not my innocent little brother." she closed her eyes and shuddered.

Kuro laughed when Kazumi came up wtih a stick in her jaws, "some fish you got there." he teased gently.

Ranu turned around at the sound of Kandy's voice"Eh?Well I guess I cold stick around but....Im not used to it"he said padding back to her

Mara jumped into another tree and dropped down from there Then another animal would think I slept in that tree she thought happily as she went down to the brook where Kaze had taught her how to fish.She was careful not to let her shadow rest on the water,when a fish swam close to her she swiped it clear out of the water and it landed next to her with a thud.Mara started eating the fish and caught a few more until she had eaten her fill.

Kaze nodded "we both know what it is like to lose someone we love" he said sadly.

Kazumi dropped the stick and blushed "sorry" she said quietly.

Kandy smiled, "that makes two of us." she said, "Usually its just me and Onii, but she doesnt talk much." she said with a shrug.

Onii sighed, "I can't say I blame you for wanting to protect Mara, but I've learned that if somethings meant to happen, it will, no matter what we do." she said.

Kuro laughed, "for what? not catching a fish your first try? theres nothing wrong with that!" he said, "just come back to the edge and try again. Its no big deal."

Kaze nodded "but when i see Mara i see my sister" he said with a sigh.

Kazumi nodded getting by the edgee waiting for the fish to get close before she pounced again grabbing what she could but ended up with a mouth full of water.

Ranu sighed"At least you have your sister traveling with you...even though she doesnt talk its better than being a loner like me"he said

Maralooked around for Kaze and saw him with Onii"Hiya Kaze!"she yipped happily,her eyes sparkling. I wanna learn something new!And maybe even explore a little she thought with a swish of her tail

Onii sighed when Mara returned, "well, then I will leave you to train her." she said, turning and slipping silently through the forest, emerging in a small clearing that was quiet and alone.

Kandy blinked, "well, you don't have to be a loner...." she said voice trailing off, "I mean, you could come along with us if you wanted to." she said.

Kuro gave Kazumi a knowing smiled, "don't get discouraged, you just gotta keep trying." he said, "It took me a few tries to figure it out too. you have to remember to be patient though."
