 APOCALYPSE SURVIVAL(year 3033, so futuristic)

Entering in through a few collapsed doors and rubble, climbing over dead bodies and loose gravel- you have finally arrived at "Destination Safe"- a radio signal had been urging any survivors of Plan 203 to head into the city for refuge. This entrance was littered with evidence that someone, or something had been using this entryway for quite some time. The further you crept around the debris, the more enclosed the passage became. Once at the end, the faint smell of fire and death envelopes your nose.
You have come to a wall, but there seems to be a small amount of light peeking through a small crevice at your feet. Crouching down, and you see that this hole is JUST big enough for an average sized individual. Nervously, you begin to wedge yourself into the hole. It seems like tunnel was about 15 feet or so long- with a small light emanating from the end.
Once in, you notice the streaks of blood lining the entrance, and the few bones that remained from the Dead attempting to get through. About 5 feet in, the blood is gone.
Once the struggle of getting through the tunnel was complete, you emerge in a large room with no windows, no doors, not even a crack of light coming in from the outside world. In the center of the room was a fire, surrounded by car seats, tattered mattresses, pillows and junk. It still smelled of rotting flesh, even well beyond the destruction.
To your right is a selection of weaponry- several bloody knives, barely holding together, a few sawed-off shotguns, a chainsaw, and several other blunt objects. To your left was piles upon piles of firewood, and just beyond that a large cylinder tank mounted on a platform dripped water into a basin below. A filtration system, and clean drinking water below. Although,
not a crumb of food could be seen, the dead rats scattered on the floor made it painstakingly clear that food was very, very scarce.

In the back corner of the darkened room, a figure emerged behind several stack mattresses. She was dressed plainly, other than the bloody and torn tank top, steel-toed boots and a pair of shredded khaki shorts. On her back, a shotgun stuck out between two large dragon wings. Though, with the condition those wings where in, it was unlikely she could fly. Stepping closer to the center, more light shown on her wary face. Gold eyes burned out from under the dark blue snarly hair. Behind her dragged the biggest mass of fur, bigger than her entire body. The white stripes barely stood out on her face, let alone on the tail. She was a skunk hybrid, of some sort. Perhaps dragon skunk?
Once fully in the light, she peered around- there was no life here yet. Just the dwindling fire in the center of the room.
Squatting on one of the torn-aprat carseats, she fished out a small bundle of fur- a dead rat, still warm. Zorey grabbed a long metal wire from under the chair, tossed some logs on the fire, skewered the rat onto the wire, and rested the fresh meat against a chunk of concrete to cook.
Out of another pocket she drew a flask, opened the top, and took two large swigs. With an "ahhh" escaping after the swigs, she smiled "Nothing like a fire in my belly to warm up the rest o' me." she giggled to herself...

Jen peeked around a corner to see the entrance of "Destination Safe." Ever sense she heard that radio signal she was heading there, hoping it wasn't just another set up. When she looked around a bit she noticed some one had been there. When she decided it was safe she went squeezed in the little hole. The first thing she noticed was the blood on the walls. When through the tunnel the first thing she did was grab a knife, that was in the pile of weapons, In case she couldn't grab the one in her boot, if it came to that. Slowly stepping into the room she said " Anybody there?"

Zorey barely flinched at the sight of a newcomer- the fact that she was defending herself told her that she hadn't been infected. Twisting the meat over the fire, she smiled warmly "Welcome. I just got here last night... Seems like everyone moved on. Safe enough for now." she hiccuped, taking another deep swig off her flask.
She pulled the meat from the flames and motioned it toward the girl.
(( Since you're both new to RP, theres one big rule to roleplaying: Do NOT godmod- or, create actions for another players character. IE: I offered her the meat, so a good example of what NOT to do would be *graciously takes the meat and cuts it up onto a plate* - My character could respond negatively to that. Make sense? lol and Jess, that's pretty good for a first time! My first RP went something like this *stab n kill evry1 wit a knif* LMAO))

Jen looked around the room, then at the meat. " I don't want to waste your food..." Having trust issues especially when a stranger offers her food. Been there done that. Still standing she somewhat politely asked "You have a name?" (( Lol I have been stalking the forums for a while so i kinda have an idea of how to RP))(( i know that post sucked though.))

Leanna looked around, startled at what she saw. "I can't believe I came all the way here for this." She sighed and shouldered her backpack, knowing this safe haven was probably better than the last one, even though it didn't look that way from the outside. As she entered the building, she noticed the crawl space, and looks up at her backpack. "Gosh, I hope you can fit through" she whispered to herself. Inside were photos of her family, taken right before this whole mess had started. She hugged the backpack, then shouldered it again, as she prayed that it would fit. When she started to enter the crawl space, she breathed a sigh of relief. It would be a very tight squeeze, and it would take her an extra fifteen precious minutes to worm her way through the tunnel, but it would have to work. She had seen signs of others who had come before her outside the tunnel. She felt bad for them. They were all in the same situation she was. If only she and her family hadn't left elven country with everyone else like she had wanted, they wouldn't be in this mess. She saw a light growing bigger and brighter, which looked astonishingly like firelight. She had expected to see the daylight of a faraway place, much like the magic of the elves. As she got closer, she saw a few shadows in the light. "Oh please let them be friendly, please..."

Jen heard someone coming and turned around to see who it was, still not knowing the others name, but at the moment not caring. Not being able to see the newbies face yet she looked toward the one that had been there for a few days waiting to see her reaction.

Leanna emerged from the tunnel, staring into the eyes of two girls, both of which appeared to be around her age. She tucked her long, fair blonde hair behind her pointy ears, startled at how dingy this place and the girls in it looked. She thought of how much time she had spent making sure she never was never seen looking like that, and immediately began worrying about what she looked like. She reached up to touch her small golden hairpiece, a symbol of royalty in the elven kingdom. She looked up to meet the eyes of the two girls and held out her hand saying, "Hello, my name is Leanna, the princess of the elven kingdom. And you are..."
