Jade's smile faded into a glare. "You my little friend need to quiet up a little bit." She fingered her blade in her pocket, tempted to use her amazing fighting skills to slay the talkative creatures. Thinking better of it, Jade sighed with a mischevious smile returning to her face. "Alright, so I take a few walets to get by. It's hard to scrape by in this part of town. YO JAKE! WE GOT CAUGHT SO YOU CAN COME BACK NOW!" She yelled out, holding out her hand to the side. Jake peeked his head around the corner and came trotting back with the stolen goods still in his mouth. It's weight, which wasn't much, met her hand and she immediately held it out for it's owner to take. "A home cooked meal would be nice. I don't remember the last one I have had." She momentarily had a solemn face about her, sorrow clouding her eyes for memories lost to her. But just as quickly she was back and happy-ish again. Jake sat by her side, glaring at the other animals as if to say 'stay away from my master' but wagged his tail everytime Jade looked down at him.

OOC: Yay! I'm glad you're back! IC: Lamia smiled at the girl and her dog. "Good. I'm glad you'll come." Kneeing down, she extended her hand to the dog. "Hello Jake. So nice to meet you!" Standing, she clapped her hands once. "Just let me run in and pick up the meat. Then we'll head out." She turned and went back into the store, then returned empty handed. "They're going to deliever. Now, are we ready?"

Jake responded with a happy bark and a wagging tail. Jade smiled and nodded, once again flipping her hair behind her shoulder. In the light of the setting sun, the streak in her hair took on a fiery color making it look like a strip of fiery hair. Her blue eyes twinkled with joy in the back of her mind she was already doubting her decision to join them. She couldn't possibly know if thesse people wouldn't turn her into the police at first chance, but it didn't matter anyway for she could out run them. On the off chance that she was betrayed, she secretly slipped her blade to a more accessible location. Jake growled at her, a growl that somehow brought solace to her paranoid soul. ((Ya, me too. I might still be slightly scarce since I'm not techinically supposed to be online right now but I am a tricky person with my laptop. XD))

Haruki, dazed and suprised, reclaimed his wallet. She truely was a tricky one. The boy was rather upset that she'd made an attempt to steal from him. And Galaxy didn't make it much better. "M'rrawk. Told you." She danced in victory, bobbing her head and flapping her wings in a steady rhythm. The bird, a rather social creature, flittered beside Lamia, hovering just above her head. "How far away is it?" Haru asked, yawning. A nap would certaintly do him some good.

Lamia laughed at the yawning boy. "That tired are you? If you want, you can grab a nap while I cook. There are plenty of rooms." She raised her arm for Galaxy again. "Come on guys. It's just a few blocks." She began to walk.

Holly glanced bemusedly at her fellows, grinning. She held out her arms, and Samhain jumped directly into them with no fuss. The grin widened a little, and she rubbed noses with him before taking off after Lamia. "This will be lovely. Oh..." She reached into her pocket, pulling out a shiny, high-tech phone. She hit a spped-dial number, then held the device to her ear. "Yes, is Robert there? Uh-huh... Hey, Rob. It's Holly. You know the old mansion? And how I have all that stuff for a cook-out in my fridge and pantry? Well, if you could have one of the doormen bring it by, that would be lovely, thanks." She hung up with a grin, sliding the phone back into its proper place. Catching up to Lamia, she decided to report the news. "I won't be needing to stop my place. My butler is sending one of the doormen with all the ingredients I'll need. He'll probably send along a bottle of the wine I've been saving, just because he knows me so well." Her smile was warm and shining, lighting up her face.

Lamia was impressed. "A butler, huh? Are you bringing him with you?" She laughed, turning to glance back at the other two for a second. "And who is this cutie?" She asked, stroking her finger down the cat's nose. She took another glance back at the others before she continued, without waiting for an answer. "Why do I get the feeling we're all four going to be roommates before to long?"

Holly nodded, shrugging. "I had well-off parents. My dad owned a company or something, so I pretty much live off my trust fund. I only work because I hate feeling useless. He can come if you think he should. Robert's less like hired help and more like family." She smiled easily, shrugging. As a girl born ito luxury, Holly had never thought too much about what life could have been like without it. Looking around her at the less fortunate members of their little party, she realized that maybe that hadn't been so smart. "I think... I think that if we all live together, we should have a sort of... house bank account. You know, everyone contributes what they can, and we all have access to it. That way no one feels better or worse than anyone else." She blushed a little, feeling embarrassed by her own callous ways.

Lamia smiled. "If you want him to come, and he wants to come, he's more than welcome. There are like 18 bedrooms at the mansion. Don't ask me why Grandpa thought he needed so many. I don't know." Laughing, she spun around to look back at the two stragglers and waved at them. "Come on guys!" Something in her was driving her to take care of them. To help them. "I can agree with that," she said as she turned back around. "It could maybe be a boarding house kind of thing. If they have a place to stay, maybe it would be easier to find some kind of job for them." OOC: Has any of you ever watched an anime called Sekirei?

Haruki, with a burst of cheer, skipped up to the pair farther along. Galaxy, by this time, had perched on Lamia's arm and was dozing off. "Can I have a room on the top floor?!" He could be like a child at times, but knew when to get serious. For the most part. He repeated a yawn, trying to force this sleepy feeling away. ((Can't think of anything, bleh. And nope, never heard of it.))

Lamia laughed at his childish exubriance. "I think I have just the room for you." She dropped back to walk with him. "How would you like the attic?" She put an arm, the one not supporting Galaxy, across his shoulder. "And a hot bath?"
