"I want Splash and Ish, if you would get those for me." The last part of Opal's sentence was sort of harshly said, because she didn't like asking for help from thsi worker, who had called her a grandma, which was very offending. She had tons of friends! In her mind, anyways.

Bob grabbed the six gerbils, he put Sandy and Ginger in a litttle traveling box. Then reached in and grabbed Angel and Frost, he put them in a seperate box, lastly he grabbed the ones Sarah's mother picked out, and put them in a box. He carried all the gerbils over to the cash register, and told them the final price of $60.00. Sarah had a gift card for her four gerbils, and her mother swiped her credit card. At least he was getting money out of her mother.

"Oh my gosh! Ginger! She's adopting us! Well, either her or her mother. I'm not sure which, but we're getting adopted!" Sandy was quite excited, with all her heart, although in her mind she knew that there was some logic, and you never know what'll happen. Most of the time she listens to her heart, not her mind.

Frost noticed a hand reach in and grab both him, and Angel. They were put in a box with little air holes. "Where are we going now?" he'd had enough adventure for the day.

Shadow was relieved when the man had taken the new gerbil out, because now, he wouldn't have to answer so many questions. ALthough, he was sort of sad that it wasn't him being taken to someones home. He sighed.

A hand reached in and grabbed Splash from their cage, now she'd be all alone, and she  still had question! Now what would she do? Ivy's mind raced.

Ginger gasped in happiness.  "Yay!  The girl is, she is!  I know the girl is, not her mother! I heard! OMGZ!"  But, in the back of her mind, Ginger was still thinking about bad things.

Whisp was sort of sad that she didn't get picked.  All she really wanted was a loving home...

Vyn, being quite the opposite of his sister, was glad he didn't get picked.  He didn't want a home, he didn't want to be here - he wanted to be wild and free, like the old times...

[Ish is out cold]

Sarah smiled and took the two shoeboxes.  "Thanks!" she said, then walked out of the store, holding the door for her mother politely.  Then she started the car after she put the gerbils in the back.

"I hope you heard right, I also hope she is a good owner. You know, just give us some of the pretty standard needs I told you about earlier. I hope she's fun too, and her friends like us too!" Sandy said, she was getting excited.

Opal took her gerbils from Sarah, and she opened the lid, she peered in, they were so cute! She made the right choice. She grabbed Sarah's gerbils from the back, after putting the lid back on hers, she peered in at her gerbils, some were really cute! "Are you going to keep the names the pet store had for your gerbils?" She asked her daughter.

[Bob watched them drive away]

Ginger was silent.  She didn't feel like talking.

[Whisp is bored.]

[Vyn is bored.]

[Ish is out cold.]

Sarah smiled.  "Um, nah.  I like their names just the way they are," she said happily.  Pulling into the driveway, she set up the gerbils in their cages and EVERYTHING.

[Sandy waits to see where they are going.]

"That's what I'm doing."  Opal took in her gerbils, she set them into the cage that used to belong to other gerbils.  The one gerbil, what was it's name, oh yeah Ish was still out cold.  Splash wasn't though.

[Ginger waits to see where they are going.]

[Whisp is bored.]

[Vyn is bored.]

Ish's eyes flickered open.  He saw a black thing above him as he was looking skywards.  But where exactly was the sky?  Getting panicky, he scurried around frantically.  His mind tried to process what was happening.  Then he realized what had happened.  Everything came flooding back to him.  A stunning realization finally set in:

He was captured.  And he was a pet.

Sarah smiled.  "So, mom, what are you going to name them, then?"  She looked at Ish, who had gotten up.  "Look, Ish's up!" she said, then frowned.  "I really like Ish's name... Are you sure you're gonna change it?"

(On it.)

Sandy's mind was racing with fearful thoughts, they were seriously crazy and most of them probably weren't possible, but that didn't stop her. Eventually she got so freaked out, she started to paw at the sides of hte box. An idea had just popped out at her. "Ginger! I have an idea! Do what I do."

Opal looked at Ish, he was awake, he looked confused though. It would make sense, something would be wrong if he wasn't, or maybe he just naturally looked confused. Did he even look confused? She squinted at the gerbil, and still couldn't tell, she stopped. She just smiled at Ish. "I won't, don't worry. I'll keep their names! I couldn't possibly come up with a better idea than Ish!" In Opal's mind she was thinking, 'I couldn't possibly come up with a more suiting name for this gerbil than for what it's future is.' But that was just in her head, so no one else heard it. Splash surely fit the other gerbil's future, she'd wait a while first, though.

(Uh... Why is Sandy acting like that if she was all calm about it 5 seconds ago? O.o And they're in their cages in Sarah's room, btw.)

Ginger was confuzzled.  "Uh.. Why?  What's the prob?"  She didn't find anything wrong with this new life.  Not yet, anyways.  But it seemed a bit more cheerful with an owner around.

Ish pawed at the gl*censored* for a moment, looking up at this ugly old grandma.  Who was she, anyways?  He should be with the pretty girl over there!

Sarah smiled.  "'Kay, mom.  Y'know, I think Ish is a nice and interesting name, too."  She looked at Sandy and Ginger with happiness.

(Because, she has an idea, and her mind is getting the best of her!!)

"Just do it!" Sandy knew her sister could be ignorant sometimes, but no one's perfect, right? "Well..." Sandy knew she should proabbly explain things to her sister, but she was right, what's the problem? There is no problem, just that she went from calm, to worried, to insane! Maybe she should hold off on the idea until something really does go wrong, nothing has gone wrong yet... Sandy stopped pawing at the sides of the cage. "Never mind! I'll save that idea for later."

"Alrighty, sweetheart. Better show them gerbils around." Opal said in a more squekier, and uglier voice than normal. This happened when excitement got the best of her. She couldn't believe that in her possession were all new, young gerbils.

Ginger was giving her sister a suspicious look.  What happened to her all of a sudden?  What idea?  Oh well.  She scurried off to the food bowl to nibble on a Froot Loop or two.

[Whisp is bored.]

[Vyn is bored.]

[Ish does his gerbil stuff. :P]

"Ok, mom," Sarah said.  "How 'bout I take your gerbils into your room?" she offered.  Lifting up the hefty cage, the girl managed to set it on her mother's dresser.  "There. I'll be in my room if you need me," Sarah finished, and left to go to her room.  Then, as she gazed at her gerbils, she couldn't help but wonder what could be going through their minds right now.

Sandy felt very nervous, as she was being set down in the girl, Sarah's room. At least it wasn't her mother's room, that would be even more dreadful. All Ginger did was eat, when theyw ere placed in this un-know area, she acted really chill, and cool about this. Sandy explored the area, searching for anything unusual.

Frost gives up on talking to Angel, and stares up at the lady that got him and Angel. At elast it wasn't the old, wrinkly thing. But, he didn't know what she was doing here!

"Thanks, dear!" Opal called out to her daughter, who was heading in her room.
