"It's not always about Liam," Jason said simply, not answering her question. "Have you ever thought that maybe I don't want to do what you want me to do all the time? I'm doing what I want to do, Deomi."

"You really do like bacon, don't you?" Josh laughed as he ran a hand through his messy blonde hair. "Let's move to Canada. Lot's of bacon there."

Sarah shot Liam an extremely annoyed look and snorted. The man simply grinned, showing perfectly straight teeth, and raised his eyebrows. "And you are...?"

"My brother," Sarah replied for Liam quickly. "This is my brother. We're on our way to see our dying Mother, so pardon if he's snappy." She gave Liam another 'look'. 

 "Get back in the car." 

"So what you want is to leave everything behind?" Deomi asked, "even people who care?"

"No," Liam said, "you get back in the car, sis." He watched her out of the corner of his eye, to see what she would do.

"But canadian bacon isnt the same as BACON bacon." Ashlee said, "theres a difference." her stomach rumbled quietly, "and right now my belly wants american bacon!" she smacked a fist down into the open palm of her other hand, "stat!"

"People forget," Jason mumbled to himself. "A few hundred years from  now and it will be like I've never even existed in this part of the world." His voice was soft, and he almost feared she wouldn't hear him.

Sarah turned and pulled the door open, pausing with one hand rested on the metal frame. She glanced at the human man, fangs digging into her bottom lip painfully. Her stomach rumbled.

She slid into the drivers seat, and slammed the door shut with a little more force than necessary. Sarah glared at the broken steering wheel and crossed her arms over her chest.

"I'm not getting you bacon," Josh laughed. "I already told you... get some yourself." 

((GAH! sorry if I'm not online much! real life is getting crazy, my bipolar mom is threatening to kick me out again!! but on a brighter/CRAZIER note, the guy i like JUST MOVED INTO MY HOUSE!!!!!!!! hes got nowhere else to stay, cuz his bro kicked him out of their house XD))

"You are so not fun," Ashlee complained, "Come on, lets go get breakfast, I'm buying." she said with a wink.

Liam shot the man one last glare befroe getting into the car, "Don't do that." He warned Sarah, "Its my instinct to protect that human if you lose it, so not anywhere near me." he said, voice low and a little irritated, "And don't even tell me you weren't thinking about feeding on him, cuz I highly doubt you weren't."

"And a hundred years from now, I'll still be around, and I never forget." Deomi said, voice jsut as soft as his and she turned to leave.

"Perhaps it is best to let go of what can never be, Deomi." Jason whispered softly, voice caressing her name like it was something to be treasured. His multi-colored wings immerged, appearing from his back without warning. "Goodbye. Take care. And tell Liam I'm sorry for what I said to him."

And with one snap of his delicate, pale fingers, Jason disappeared, opening his eyes to a beautiful sunset. He wasn't sure where he was. The only word he'd had on his mind was Safety.

"The thought didn't even cross my mind until you stepped out of the car," Sarah snarled back, twisting the key faster than needed as she slammed her foot on the gas. The car lurched forwards and took off. "Look at my eyes. They're dark crimson/maroon. I'll be fine for another few days, Liam, Je-" she choked on the word "Jesus". Her throat felt singed. Cleaning her throat, she tried again. "I've still got control. It's when my eyes turn black that you should be worried. But until then,"

She took a hard left, slamming him into the door again. "You mind your own damn business."

"Alright. I like the sound of that," Josh mused as he picked his shirt off the floor.

Shirt. Floor.

He didn't recall removing it last night, but took no notice of this fact. He pulled the door to their room open, and grinned. "She-demons first." He pulled on his shirt and shook out his blonde hair.

((I AM BEHAVING!!! lol......so far ;O but hes jsut so adorable! XD and he sleeps in my avortie chair which drives me nuts cuz thats where i ALWAYS sit when i wake up, but hes always there XD))

Liam smacked his head on the window again and growled, "Sorry, I can't help myself." he said, but his voice didn't sound all too apologetic, "if you jerk that steering wheel one more time, I swear to god I will rip it off, I don't have a problem to see my dear sick mother."

"How do you know it couldn't have been?" Deomi asked the room around her, "you don't know a damn thing." this time, she didnt try to hold back the tears, she just opened the door and walked out into the outside world, in nothing but his tee shirt.

"Oh how chivalrous(sp? XD) of you." Ashlee purred, walking out into the hallway.

{ DEOMI PUT ON SOME CLOTHES }

"Then stop acting like some sort of puppy that can't be trained," Sarah hissed, eyes darkening fractionally as they did when she got mad. "You don't need to step between me and every damn thing that has a pulse. I'm sorry I have to feed on living flesh." 

She slammed on the breaks, then, watching his head smash into the dashboard. "Alright. Rip the steering wheel off," she snapped, tossing her hands into the air. "See where it will get us. NOWHERE. You didn't have to come, so shut up and stop complaining about my driving." 

She didn't move, though, holding on the steering wheel so hard she snapped a piece off as she glared out of the windsheild.

Then, without warning, Sarah broke. She rested her forehead on the steering wheel, silent tears streaking down her face. She didn't know what was wrong. She didn't know why there was so much tention, or why she was getting so emotional all of a sudden. She didn't even look at Liam or sneak a sideways glance. She didn't care anymore. I don't care about what he thinks about me anymore.

...And I don't care that what I just thought was a complete lie.

"I am a true gentleman, aren't I?" Josh said with a lazy smile. He closed the door behind them, listening to his back crack as he stretched out. "I slept on my left wing wrong again," he grumbled, mostly to himself.

"I know you can't help what you are any more than I can help being a wolf, and I can't help but try and protect humans, its in my blood." Liam's gaze was locked forward, "I don't know what you've been through, but what I do know is if you didn't want me to come along, you wouldn't have gone along with Deomi to find me. But if you want me to leave, all you ahve to do is say the word, and I'm gone." His voice was even and quiet, but inside, he felt like he was falling apart all over again. What the hell is wrong with me?

Ashlee rolled her eyes, "sorry, but I have to take away your Gentleman card, that wasnt very gentleman-like." she teased.

"Three strike rule," Josh objected.

"To dangle food just beyond a starving's mans reach," Sarah said rather poetically, voice sturdy even though she was crying. "To offer temptation when you know the victim cannot partake." She didn't move for a while, unsure of how much time passed. She didn't really care, eventually sitting back upright and slowly easing the gas.

Her make-up didn't smudge now; she'd worn water-proof, because she knew she'd end up breaking sooner or later. It was like Liam had her dangling by a thread, and at his whim she went from one extreme to the next.

She didn't say much else, humming a tune, that didn't seem to belong to any song known, softly under her breath. It was the song the man who'd turned her had written her, a long time ago. She couldn't remember the words, but she would always remember the tune. 

"I think not." Ashlee said as she sauntered away.

"Call me cruel then." Liam said, "call me what you will, trust me, i can handle it." he listened to the tune she hummed, waiting for the worst.

"I think so," Josh argued as he followed her quickly.

"You're everything I've ever wanted and more," Sarah said simply, tone not hinting at sarcasm, or any emotion at all. "You are the food, and I shall be the starving man. Forever dangling just out of my reach, the tips of my fingers just about there. But never will I be able to even touch upon it." 

((actually im waiting for him to call me to come pick him up XD hes at a party that i didnt want to go to LOL))

"Too late!" Ashlee said in a singsong voice, "what has been taken away cannot be given back."

Liam was quiet for a moment, unsure of what to say, "Out of reach?" ((GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH this is FRUSTRATINGGGGGGGG lol XD XD XD))

"Is that what happened to your good looks?" Josh taunted with a grin.

Sarah pulled over at a small motel, and killed the engine. "Our stop," she said quietly as she pushed open the door, obviously ignoring his words. "They're in here." 

((Hold crap. Last night was insane!! I went to go get him about midnight, and he convinced me to go to a different party, in an SUV that is a pain to drive, then on the drive home, he thought it would be fun to sit and mess with the AC and he even made the windows fog us and I couldnt see a damn thing XD

Then we got my brother and the two of them called my best friend and talked to her on the phone and yelled at houses as we passed LOL gotta love boys))

Ashlee gasped, "hey now! Jealousy is a sin!"

Liam folded his arms over his chest, "so how are we going to talk to them? What will we say?"

"So is robbery, murder, hatred, and pride," Joshed snorted. "And I've done all those sevenfold."

Sarah shrugged, watching as they walked out of the front door. They looked a bit ruffled like they'd had a rough night, but otherwise in a pleasant mood. She smiled and waved the demons over.

Josh growled low in his throat. He was just glad to see that the meddling angels weren't with him. To see Deomi again... his throat tightened, so he stopped thinking about it. He waved unhappily back, eyes tightening as he changed direction towards them. "Let's go find out," he said grimly. 

"Hi," Sarah said with a forced smile.  

"Good morning, or afternoon." Ashlee said, "or whatever the hell time it is." she said with a forced smile.

"I take it you guys know about the Archangle, because I doubt you are taking off just for kicks and giggles." Liam said in a flat voice.

Josh nodded grimly. "We got a little..." he paused. "Distracted, but we're on our way across the country or something. So yes, we know about the Archangel."

Sarah opened her mouth, and closed it again.
