Ashlee jumped in the drivers seat, "lets hope my one driving lesson was enough to get us the hell out of dodge!" she said, pressing her foot down on the accelerator and passing Sarah's car, and pulling into traffic as the doors opened to the dealership building and the owner came out, red faced and angry looking.

Josh laughed, holding onto the door as if it were his life line. "Slow down!" he laughed, though he didn't realy mean it. "You'll kill us all. Bloody hell!" He kicked off his shoes, and set his feet on the dashboard, leaning back in his chair. "Mmm." he mumbled. "This is nice. Try not to crash into anything."

Sarah followed them, gnawing on her lip anxiously. There were a thousand things she wanted to say, a thousand questions and answers bubbling in her mind. So she picked one; one that would make Liam actually listen for once, which made her growl a bit under her breath. "When's Deomi supposed to catch up with us?" she asked. The next part was a lie, "I'm getting worried." 

Ashlee rolled her eyes, "don't antagonize the driver." she teased, reaching over and turning on the radio, turning to a rock station and drumming her fingers on the steering wheel, "you know, I could get used to this driving thing, its not as bad the second time." she thought for a moment, "you know, people are going to know this cars stolen, its got no license plates, so what do oyu suggest we do?"

Liam shrugged, "dunno, I don't expect it will be too much longer, if she doesn't find us by tonight, then we should be worried." he said simply, staring out the windsheild. He hated the tension in the car, he wanted it to go away, and to be relaxed around Sarah again, like before the accident.

"Steal liscence plates?" Josh joked, smiling, though he didn't open his eyes to look at her. "Nah. We'll just out-run cops, swap cars every so often and hope that nobody catches us." He shrugged. "Besides, it's not like anyone could really catch us... we're demons. We can always get away."

Sarah only nodded and leaned against the steering wheel, driving with her knees as she picked distastefully at the broken portion of her car. "I really should watch myself," she said, to nobody in particular. "I've had this thing forever and it would suck if I had to replace it." The car didn't swerve or jerk, as she was quite skilled at driving with her knees. 

Ashlee laughed, "good point, I think I might enjoy a little high speed chase." she purred, looking in her rear-view mirror to see if Sarah was still following. As they left the town behind, Ashlee gradually accelerated more, looking for any back roads to turn onto.

"Did you actually buy this or was it stolen?" Liam asked, glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. He knew that even if they did cresh while she drove with no hands, both of them would walk away from the crash.

"Neither," Sarah admitted sheepishly. "It was a gift. From an... ex of mine." She tried to hide the blush spreading across her cheeks. "He got mixed up in some pretty nasty vampire politics and got himself staked and burned. So I couldn't really return it." She patted the dashboard. "Yup. This belonged to James Karter once. Not anymore though." She put her hands back on the wheel, speeding up as Ashlee did so she wouldn't loose them.

"High-speed chases are fun," Josh agreed enthusiastically. "But do you know what's more fun?" He waited a moment. "Eating. And sleeping. Or, better yet, eating while you sleep." He yawned, stretching out his arms so he could set his hands behind his head. 

"Eating while you sleep huh?" Ashlee said, turning onto a quiet back road and gunning it, "that can't be nearly as fun as seeing how fastthis baby can go." she said, listening to the engine roar as it shifted gears.

"Huh." Liam said, "sounds like a more intresting story that I expected. Vampire politics eh? So you aren't like shifters in that you do whatever you please. We have more of an anarchy system, that became like gangs before too long."

Sarah smiled and nodded. "It's rare to see lone vampires," she admitted sheepishly, as if she were embarassed of this. "We usually belong to a coven, lead by one Female vampire. She can have a mate, which would be a male vampire, and a human consort, which is basically just there for the blood." She shivered. "In each city, there's a head coven. In each state/province, there's a head coven. And in each country and continent there's a head coven."

She sighed, speeding up slightly, though she wasn't in the mood to chase Ashlee and Josh. "Each has more power than the next. There's a lot of rules and stuff involved that I never bothered to learn. There's also a lot of death. Apparently vampires aren't as civil as they think they are." She realized that she was rambling and sighed. "You shouldn't let me ramble. I sound stupid."

Josh grinned. "Sarah and Liam are gonna get mad if you go any faster. They'll get left behind, and we wouldn't want that, now would we?" He smirked, closing his eyes again. "Don't wake me up unless someone's dead... or undead. I'm taking a nap." 

"I'd rather listen to you talk, and perhaps learn something, than sit here in silence." Liam pointed out, "but hey, suit yourself."

Ashlee sighed and let off the accelerator slowing down to a more normal speed.

Sarah chuckled, most of the tension melting off of her shoulders. "Anyways. Tell me more about these 'werewolf' gangs of yours. Sounds... what's the word?" She thought for a moment and added with a laugh, "Ghetto?"

Josh started to snort lightly, already asleep LIKE A BOSS. 

Liam laughed quietly, "well, us shifters are few and far between. So we never really made laws, and stayed solitary, doing whatever we pleased, basically anarchy. Then a fears back, a few of us started to kill humans, only the bigger ones, like bears, tigers, wolves. THen a few of us started to form packs, which basically ran like gangs. The weaker animals came to us for protection, the bigger ones joined up and got higher ranks."

"I was in a smaller gang, and after a few years, I became their leader, when my brother died. The gangs are your family, and  you always take care of each other. And until I saw Deomi the other day, I was the only one left. The gang wars were brutal, and at least one person always died."

Liam shook his head, "whatever, it will just always be something that will haunt me." he said in a soft voice.
