Liam snarled louder, taking a menacing step toward the demon.  he heard Deomi move behind him, but didnt look at her for fear that Josh would use his distraction against him. He dared Josh to so much as move and inch.

Deomi heaved herself to her feet wtih a low whine. She swung her head to look at Sarah, a weak growl escaped ehr thraot. Stupid vampire. She took a labored step toward them, and when she did, her pain seemed to lessen. That or she was ignoring it. She found the strenght to take another step, then another. With all of the energy she had left, she grabbed arah by the back of the neck and ripped her away from Jason, slamming the vampire to the ground beside her.

She bit back a yelp as the movements caused her pain. She forced a growl and pinned ehr ears to her skull as she glared down at Sarah, one paw on the center of the vampires chest.

Tears of marbled silver and gold blood leaked from Jason's eyes as he clutched his throat. A whole chunk of it seemed to be missing. He started to pant as fire wormed its way through his veins. Grimacing, he doubled over and bit back a scream. His neck wasn't healing; the fire was just burning hotter.

Sarah stared up at Deomi. Her mouth was smeared with silver and gold blood from both her and Jason. Her eyes were starting to lighten to their usual cherry red. "I'm so sorry," she said, coughing. Her voice sounded strangled. "Please get off of me."

Josh tilted his head to one side, then smiled and flipped Luke off. "I'd tell you to fight like a man," he sneered. "But it seems that you can't...pup." 

Even as a wolf, Liam could roll his eyes. This kid didnt fight like a man. He fought like a coward. he swiveled one ear around to listen to Deomi and Sarah.

Deomi whined uneasily, but stepped away from Sarah. Then with a gasp, she shifted into her human form and was, of course, completely naked.((XD)) But she was in too much pain to be embarased. She colapsed to the ground and wrapped her black wings around herself like a shield as she cried.

Sarah only shook her head, still sobbing quietly. She couldn't look at Luke; she didn't want to see disgust in his eyes. A chill ran up her spine when she heard a snarling laugh.

"This almost makes me want to cry," Josh sneered, crossing his arms over his chest. "Poor vampire; can't even keep from biting people. How sad."

Jason opened his mouth to say something, but decided against it and clenched his teeth, biting back a scream. His body started to spasm. On the inside, he was silently cursing Sarah, but he really knew it wasn't her fault. He should have had a better hold on her. 

Liam grolwed. Why couldnt she have bitten him? He thought bitterly, I know I sure as hell want to.

"At least she can say shes sorry when she was wrong." Deomi said, words forced. She gritted her teeth against another wave of pain.

Josh curled his lip, not answering. "Saying sorry is admitting defeat," he snarled. "You are only as strong as your weakest link. Feel sorry for those who regret and show pity; they will be the first to fall."

He curled his wings around himself, and with a snap of his fingers, disappeared.

Jason moaned quietly, four of his teeth falling out of his mouth. The clattered on the pavement, a new burning sensation in his mouth replacing the numbness that was once there. Something sharp and full of liquid pushed its way through his gums. Fangs?

"I always mess everything up!" Sarah said, wiping the tears from her cheeks. She crouched next to Deomi, inhaling in deeply. "You smell... different." There was a pause. "You smell like a vampire?"

Deomi had been so angry, she hadnt notice that four of her teeth had fallen out. THey had been replaced wtih four razor sharp fangs. She felt the burning pain fading, replaced now by a poweful feeling. She blinked once, noticing her eyesight was much better, "Funny you should say that." she said quietly, hands shaking slightly, "because I sort of feel Like a vampire."

Liam whined low in his throat, feeling slighlty out of place as the only living, for lack of a better word for it. Then again, he sort of wasnt living wtiehr in that sense of the word, he was an immortal as well, but at least he had a beating heart.((XD Liam is all disoriented.))

Jason's eyes lingered on Deomi, Sarah and Luke. The burning had resided, and even though his heart was no longer beating, he felt alive as ever. But his throat felt scorched, and something in the back of his mind was struggling to free itself. 

Sarah whimpered quietly. "Oh no..." she said. "Oh... I think I might have... changed you." Her eyes watered again. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to. I didn't think that it would have the same effect on immortals."

((*throws tantrum* this thing keeps eatin mah POSTS >:O))

Deom looked down at her shaking hands, "huh. well how about that." she was suddenly aware of a soft thudding noise. She glanced around fror the source and found that it was Liam. More specific, his heartbeat. There was a burning sensation at the back of her throat, but she forced it away. Turning instead to Sarah, "So, Angel's blood. How does it taste?" more specifically, she wanted to know why her blood was a darker silver color. She knew it would have been tainted by the same 'sin' that blackned her wings.

"Different," Sarah said weakly. "The ones with black wings and silver blood, like you, are kind of bittersweet. The ones with white wings and gold blood taste... amazing." She blinked, looking at Jason with a mystified ex
pression. "And that one is kind of a mix of both."

Jason tucked his multi-coolored wings against his side, sitting upright. He tried not to look to upset by what Sarah said. Instead, he said gently, "You know... you might want someone to fetch you some clothes," His throat burned hotter, but he pushed the feeling away. The angelic side of his soul was good at countering demonic presences, such as his vampire side.

Deomi laughed, "yeah I probably should, seen as how Liam can hardly see my wings as a human. I'm going to go wolf until you guys can get me something to wear alright?" She focused on the wolf spirit deep down and pulled it to the surface, shuddering once before the wolf broke loose.

With a startled yelp, she realised she was much different as a vampire-wolf. sure, her teeth were much sharper, but her fur was darker, as were her eyes. She could see better than she ever could before as a wolf. Her wings were somehow darker, they had lost their slight silvery tips. And she could tell she was faster. Way faster. She had gone from a dangeraous predator, to and absolutley lethal one.

Jason only nodded, staring off with a distant ex
pression. He hated awkward situations, and often avoided them when possible. So for now he just sat there, silently, and prayed that nobody would ask him any questions. 

"You two should probably go hunting as soon as possible," Sarah said timidly, cheeks warming up. "If you don't, the lack of blood will make you fly off the handle. Kind of like..." she trailed off, not saying any more. She cleared her throat to try and break the silence. 

Deomi dipped her head in understanding. Then she finally turned her attention back to the burning building. She whined low in her throat, that job was the only thing paying for the roof over her head. Now what was she going to do?

Liam barked loudly as a siren was heard now far away. The Fire department. He glanced around before turning around and disappearing back into the park. Deomi reluctantly followed, Jason and Sarah could be seen, they would look like regular humans, but niether of the Werewolves thought it would work out very well if the police found wolves in the city.

Jason got up, and started to follow after the werewolves. "Where are you going?" Sarah hissed. "We're okay to be seen!"

"Humans are a source of blood," he said calmly. "And besides, we'll be suspects." He disappeared, leaving Sarah to sprint after them with a hopeless glance backwards. She hoped Liam wasn't too mad at her for biting his friend. Or was it a girlfriend? 

Liam lead Deomi through the Ally's, the familiar route back to his family's apartment. Liam ALWAYS left a window open, no matter the season, and since he had afirst floor room, getting inside was as simple as jumping through the window.

Liam padded over to his dressed and nudged the partially open drawer all the way open and pulled out a tee shirt and a pair of sweatpants, dropping them on the floor beside Deomi. She grabbed them and padded through the open door to his bathroom, phasing back to her human, er-Angel/Vampire self and quickly pulling the clothes on, making her wings disappear.

She walked out of the bathroom to see Liam as a human again, pulling on a shirt quickly.

"I think Jason and Sarah followed us." Deomi said, leaning on the door frame and forcing herself to not breathe though her nose. Her mouth watered with the thought of sinking her newfound fangs into his throat and drinking his blood....

Liam shrugged, "Then they can come in if they want." he said. He looked at the ground, "Dems, How are you alive? I watched you die..."

Deomi felt tears sting her eyes, "I'm not alive. I DID die." she didnt dare mention HOW it was she died, she didnt want to think of that day, "I'm still dead. But I just didnt want to stay dead, and my family's spirits got mad and sent me back to the mortal realm, and when I woke up, my wings were black, and I was here." she said, "But I'll never age, never die, never go back to heaven." she said, then Deomi smirked, "not that I aged anyway." she said, referring to the fact that the shifters were immortal, just like vampires. Then her voice got quiet, "what happened to the Clan?" she asked.

"well, After you, Jerome, and Shelby died, we kind of disbanded, having so many shifters in a city was too dangerous." Liam said sadly, "everyone kind of went their seperate ways, and I stayed here."

Deomi jsut nodded, trying to hold back some of the tears.
