44 panicked and immediately came to 697 side and ripped the small ,popcorn like ,flood off of his armor then released a bullet into it."Everyone lets get 697 safely to the infermary.We cant lose him he is the most valuable spartan and the my most valuable friend.I have lost many good teammates against the covenant but i am not going to loss another.Lets move out!"Just at that moment the ground shaked and a green light blinded the skies."Oh no not a scarab we have not got time to deal with this"44 was trembling inside.

Time skip. 697 opened his eyes only to see 44 looking over him, and the infermary around him, "how did you get me out from behind enemy lines?" he sat up and felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck, "And how did you get me back fast enough to get me cured of that flood infection?"

Dethal could smell 697. But he was behind two huge steel door`s. He growled and lunged at the door with sharp kill claw`s, and fang`s. Luckily, he put enough force into the lunge, that one door fell to the ground. He ran inside, ignoring the fact that he could bareley walk from how badly he skidded on the cold tile floor. He took one look at 697 and hissed dangerously at the other`s. He was angered by the fact that they just stood there. He snarled and chased them away. He turned and walked back to 697, nuzzeling him with his snout, which is something that he rareley does.

697 picked Dethal up and petted his head, "Hello Boy, don't worry, I should be okay, are you going to be okay after that lunge though? that seemed very serious." 697 hugged Dethal before putting him down, and then lay on his back, exausted.

Dethal looked at the wall then turned to look at 697. He nodded, Not being blessed with the gist to speak. He looked at the other's and hissed again. He didn't really like anyone other than his owner.

121 was confused. Why was that so called Xang being so mean? 121 had'nt done anything to Xang. 121 and the others were trying to get 697 to a safe place,when Xang finally desided to help. 121 desided to go see if 697 was alright and say that she was sorry.

As everyone was fussing over 697, 44 decided to go prepare and train for the next objective while 697 healed. 44 starred at his sniper rifle then sharply throw it to the ground."i..i am not brave enough to do this c..compared to everyone else i am too weak inside and have no reason or goal to living in this mess up world.It may as well be hell but i guess as long as i have my friends anything is possible.If i give in too faiure i WILL fail."44 picked up his sniper rifle and strolled silently back to the infermary to see how everyone was doing."From now on i will believe in myself"44 exclaimed proudly to himself.

Dethal narrowed his eye's and curled back his lip's. He jumped off 697's lap and growled. He shook his head in a way of saying leave. He whacked her with his tail as awarning and went back to 697.

121 found Xang cool now that she had worked out the way he thought.121 desided that Xang would some day cone to like her. 121 jumped off the steel wall she had just climbed and desided to go see if she could also go find some training while 697 healed. 121 looked at 697 as if she was going to go say sorry again and walked off in search of some enemys.

697 sat up and glanced around the infermary, everyone had gone to train or get ready, only his loyal pet remained stationed on his lap, 697 petted him gratiously, as he was happy that he was on the mend, he had heard that the poison can ruin your aim, so he drew his hand gun and fired at a gl*censored* canister, it hit dead centre, perfect as usual, "Anyone out there?!? I'm gettin better and wanna get revenge on those b.astard flood!" 697 then stood, lost balance slightly but regained it wuickly, he then lifted Xang up and nursed him as he strolled through the halls, in full armour minus his helmet of course.

121 came back to see 697 up, she felt like going up to him and hugging him but looked at Xang and changed her mind..... 121 was happy that she got some training even if 697 thought that she had abandoned him. 121 loaded her weapon and waited for 697 to start the mission.

697 cracked his neck and hugged 121, "Good to see you returned to me, I thought the covenant had found the ba--" a rumble stopped 697 mid-sentence, he snapped his neck around only to see a marine get flung through the double doors of the infarmary, which, stupidly enough, was right at front of the base, then a hunter came marching into the infarmary, 697 knocked 121 into cover, dived and drew as he rolled into cover, he then took aim at the hunter who was taking aim at 121, "Take this you son of a--" 697 cut off as he fired off a well placed bullet in between the hunters eyes, dispatching it with ease, "I really wish you hadn't jsut left me with a side arm, but at least you left me with that, better than nothing I suppose." 697 then patted 121 on the shoulder, telling her to follow him to the training room.

121 just stood there in shock at what had just happened."Thanks 697, glad to see your up and well shooting!"She laughed to herself,she was so glad 697 was back as she wouldnt have lasted 2 seconds out there. 121 sprang into a light jog and started following 697 to the training room as she had know idea where it was.

697 made a quick stop at the armory, he glanced around, "Now, where is that rifle of mine..." whilst 697 was looking around the armory Xang started rubbing up against 121's leg like a cat.

121 burst out laughing."Xang you scared me, i thought you were going to eat me or...well somthing, Im glad your here you make things seem a bit happier." 121 looked at the rifle that was right by 697s leg, she picked it up and gave it to him.

697 scratched his head as he took the rifle, "Oh, thanks, I couldn't see that..." 697 then took a few knives, a dozen grenades, a few mines and more ammo for his guuns, he was now fully kitted up, "Now, lets find the others so we can go on another fun filled mission..."

44's heavy footsteps slammed on the firm surface.He swifted pushed the large doors open and bellowed with a confident voice,"Thats lock and load ladies.....this time the coveant arent going know whats hit them.Move like ghosts!"With this the crew gathered there weapons and ran out the door and into the war.The war of all living hell......
