Angel awoke with Star on the other side of the bed. She got the clothes on that she had yesterday, blue jeans and a peace tee, and went downstairs.

Erin mumbled faintly as Jace's chair scraped against the kitchen floor. She raised her head sleepily and managed to catch a glimpse of him disappearing around the corner.
A moment after that, her vision lurched, and despite the fact that she was sitting down, she nearly fell sideways.
Such is the nature of the beast. Erin thought, eyeing the vodka that was left in her gla.ss. She certainly wasn't about to finish it off.
Erin got out of her chair, and ran her hand through her hair. She blinked a few times before straightening up and walking out of the kitchen. Somehow, she retained her balance.
"Jace?" She called quietly and panting slightly. Her head was pounding and she felt a bit off from the alcohol. She looked in the direction he had gone, and heard a tap turn on, leading to the rushing of water. Erin blinked when she heard Angel's footsteps beside her, but walked to the bathroom anyways, still feeling a bit hazy.
Erin moved so that she stood beside Jace, looking up at him through her bangs. Her usually pale skin was still flushed from the alcohol. "Remind me not to drink vodka again." She murmured, resting her elbows on the vanity's rim and leaning on Jace slightly.
"Also, I think your friend is awake."

Angel looked at Erin and Jace. Damn, are they wasted? she thought to herself. Star followed behind her, tumbling around.

Jace looked up at her with an amused ex
pression, straightening out despite the fact he felt like crap. But his eyes got a little darker with a mix of emotions. "She's awake?" he asked quietly, staring at the ceiling. "Know where she is?" He glanced sideways at Erin through his bangs. Then he heard her. His head snapped from looking at Erin, to staring at Angel with a slightly panicked ex
pression. "Oh. Um. I didn't see you standing there." He blushed a light pink, noticing with discomfort how everything must seem to her. First, he made out with her, and then ditched to go walk some other girl to his house. And then, he came back and brought her home, only to leave her upstairs while he got completely wasted with Erin. Jace was already starting to feel unhappy and overwhelmed. He sighed, head spinning in useless circles of guilt. "This isn't what it looks like, you know."

Anyways. ))
Erin straightened up too and spun around in startlement; she hadn't noticed Angel standing in the doorway.
"This isn't what it looks like, you know." She heard Jace say beside her. He sounded nervous, and Erin blinked. She'd forgotten about the relationship between Angel and Jace.
"Wait." Erin broke in, her blue eyes flickering in the faint light of the candles that lined the bathroom. She narrowed her eyes. "This is exactly what it looks like. Two friends were troubled and worried, so they had a drink. They had too much and got wasted." She stopped abruptly, then continued, her voice several notches softer.
"...That's all, by the way." She said quietly. "The end. And they all lived happily ever after."
She met Angel's gaze and bit her lip gently, hoping she wouldn't take all this the wrong way. For Jace's sake.

Jace forced a smile, ignoring the famliar twinge of pain in his chest when Erin said 'friends'. He'd always been a hopeless romantic. Sometimes he wondered if it was from reading so much, or just the way he was raised. He said in a quiet voice, "Exactly what she said. Just some friends hanging out, drinking away their worries." His eyes flickered for a moment with personal thoughts, but they soon regained their natural sparkle of life. He stared at his feet, unable to look at Angel or Erin.

Charlotte blushed a little despite her best attempts not to. "N-Nothing in particular," she lied with some effort, smiling at him. She could feel her cheeks getting hot with embaras sment. Well, he probably knew what she was thinking about now. Her mind wandered back to her and Derek kissing on the street. Her stomach started to feel light and fluttery, while her hands started to get clammy. I'm insane, she thought briskly. I've gone crazy.
