Derek blinked. "mm", he thought silently, but soon returned his attention to Charlotte. "Alright." He smiled at her. He took a lock of her hair, that was in her face, and tucked it behind her ear. "Windy today, eh?"

Charlotte nodded absentmindedly, letting her eyes wander over Derek's features. He was actually very attractive, causing her to blush slightly again, and he was taller that she was; which in her book was a plus. She dragged her gaze away from him and stared down the sidewalk, turning white as a sheet. A little boy, pale with black hair, was stumbling around. He was screaming, but nobody could hear except Charlotte, and blood poured down his face from empty eyeball sockets. He'd gouged his own eyes out. She clamped a hand over her mouth to keep from puking, and turned her face away. She was shaking.

She swallowed the bile rising in her throat, and took her hand away from her mouth. Charlotte was trying to stop shivering, and get rid of the horrible chills running up and down her spine, but she couldn't shake the feeling. "I'm fine," she said quietly, swallowing again. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

Luke shrugged as Josh walked away. Apparently he'd hit a sore spot, and he felt a little bad. But it wasn't like the kid was about to go off and kill himself, so it was okay. He stood at the edge of the park trying to remember exactly how to get to the bakery. He didn't wonder for long, as he soon caught sight of Mary. Her curls were blowing everywhere in the wind, and it didn't help that she was trying to move quickly. From here, Luke could see that one of the boxes she carried was about to fall over. He ran over and caught it just as it tumbled, bumping into a girl who looked like she wanted to throw up on the way. "Oh, sorry," he mumbled. |

Charlotte stumbled backwards, but steadied herself. "It's okay," she mumbled, frowning a little to herself. She breathed deeply, trying to get rid of the sick feeling in her stomach. She looked at Luke in slight confusion. ______ Josh sat down on a bench not far away, closing his eyes and tilting his head back. The wind ruffled his midnight black hair, and soothed him a little. It's good to get some fresh air, he thought to himself in a pleased voice. Much better here than the attic. ______ Sarah walked along the sidewalk, nearly tripping over her own feet and into Luke. "My bad," she mumbled, continuing to walk. She pulled out her iPod touch and turned on the music, humming lightly to herself. She didn't even glance at her sister.

Derek stared at luke for a moment before turning back to Charlotte. "I believe alot of things. Things that aren't true. Even though I'm sure you'd tell the truth." He blinked. "Sorry I made absolutly no sense for a moment there.. just tell me."

Charlotte blinked at Derek, frowning lightly. "Honestly though," she said quietly. "You're going to think I'm a nut case and run away screaming for the hills." She nearly added, like everyone else, but bit her tongue. Now was not a time for self pity.

Charlotte's heart gave a little kick, but she ignored it. "Let's walk then," she said. "Because it's bad enough I'm going to tell you; no need for anyone else to hear." She trained her green eyes on her feet, trying to hide the fact that she was blushing.

Charlotte chuckled lightly, smiling up at him shyly. "Away from other people." She flopped down on a bench, staring at Derek, because she didn't want to look at the dead woman beside her. She didn't freak out as much this time, but it still scared her.

Charlotte shifted away from him, rather uncomfortable. We just met... ?! She shoved it off. She sighed and mumbled, "I know how this sounds, but..." She continued. "I can..." She frowned, obviously struggling for the right words. "I can see...well...dead people." She sat in silence after that, and waited for Derek to run away screaming.
