Josh stormed out of the hospital, mumbling, "SHe shouldn't have pushed me to say that...I didn't want her to know about the baby.. "

(( -breaks into a million pieces- )) Alice's heart snapped into a thousand pieces at once. She turned away and walked out of the hospital. She sighed and sat on the dusty ground.

Josh noticed Alice come outside, but he didn't stop to comfort her. Instead, he dropped his crutches and changed wolf. Looking at his back leg, he frowned. It was twisted to the extreme, and he knew he would never run free again. The mas.sive black wolf limped through the hospital parking lot, head down and blue eyes glazed over.

Josh only barked once, as if to say "It's okay". He fought the urge to run away, bitterly thinking, Oh wait, even if I tried, I wouldn't be able to! He felt like someone had just ripped out his heart. Being able to run on four legs was and extremely important part of him.
