Lanen entered the bar and sat down in her usual place. She didnt get a drink, she didnt socialize, she just sat and watched with laughing eyes the people around here. She often came to this place to get an idea of what was going on. A ball game was playing in one corner, various people rooting for their favorite teams. Someone came near her and her ex
pression turned to one of disgust as she tasted the alcohol on his breath. One of the faults of her changing; she lost her sense of smell and now relied on taste to make up for the lost sense. It was almost enough to make her gag.
