(wait it was night? o.O)
Giovanni, hearing sounds ahead by what he assumed was a clearing, armed himself with his flintlock shotgun, glad to find it still in his belt. As he edged slowly forwards, he thumbed back the arming bar and held the gun forward from his hip. he hoped it was loaded.
Whether we wanted it or not, we\'ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let\'s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta\'aurc. From what I can gather he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank outside of Rubicon. He\'s well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.

(Yes.) Rex looked at Ebony, "Meow?" he said with a small smile.

(I think we should probably skip)
"She can speak English." Kel'Duash said, staring constantly at Rex.
(Hope this part's okay) Dredge was leaning on a large stick like a staff and looking out into the forest. I have to admit, nature does know what it is doing-although that does not change it's inferiority. He noticed an unnatural shine in the bushes, and, taking a couple of steps closer, thought he could see a humanoid outline, although it seemed to have a hat-like shape on it's head. He lifted the staff and pointed at the shape to let it know he could see it. Hopefully this one will be half intelligent-that is of course providing it isn't some sort of local predatory animal that wishes to devour me.

(he notices the hat but not the massive beak *face palm*)
Giovanni raised the shotgun and held his arm straight at the being in front of him. "Who are you? tell me, ora! Now!" Giovanni said.

(He is looking at him front on so he can only see his silhouette.)
Dredge laughed, then stopped to take a breath, his mask wheezing. He stabbed his stick into the ground and leaned on it. "I go by many titles, but I see no reason as to give any of them to you. Yes, you are armed, but if you kill me you will never find out my name, or any of the other valuable information I possess either!"

"I have no need for your teasings." said Giovanni. "Speak sense or speak no more!"

Dredge opened his arms out wide. "Go on then, shoot me, lose all the information and ability I have to offer, I am not afraid of death." Dredge then moved his arms so they were pointing towards the bush. There was a clicking sound as the vambraces switched to a new deadly device. "Or perhaps I could shoot you, perhaps I could take your life in the same fashion as you would so easily take mine, perhaps it is you who should be afraid of me?"

"You speak of empty promises of information i probably have no need for" Giovanni pulled the trigger, dismayed by the hollow click his gun made. He cursed in Italian.

Dredge laughed, recognizing the anger in the speech even though he did not understand it. "Is your weapon not loaded? What a shame, as mine are most definitely. Come out of the bushes and kneel before me, or I will simply return the favor you almost inflicted upon me."

Giovanni moved only to replace his firearm with that of his cane.

Dredge lowered his arms. "It's a start, to be fair I was being rather narcissistic with my demands. However I would like for you to exit the bushes-and no that wasn't a request, it was an order."

"Ya bene. Very well" said Giovanni as he took one long stride so that he was out of the bush.

Dredge tipped his hat at Giovanni. "It is nice to see someone with good fashion sense. Now that we have gotten past the pleasantries allow me to introduce myself. I am known by many names but you may call me, Dredge."

"I would say it is nice to meet you but with our introduction I don't think that would be true. If you will follow me I can introduce you to the creature that is tagging along with me, although she is likely to be temporary." Dredge turned and headed in the direction of Sonali and the tent.

Giovanni muttered under his breath in Italian, following Dredge

Dredge took Giovanni into sight of the tent then stopped, putting his arm out so Giovanni would stop also. "I better go tell her you are here, it may be a bit of a shock to her when she sees some stranger wielding a gun suddenly walking into view."
