Her brown eyes widened with fear as Damian moved to her neck. Why? But she struggled against his grip, knowing it was futile.

Denthe lay still beneath him. Her chest moved rapidly for her breathing was increased. Underneath her closed eyelids, her eyes jerked back and forth. Her head was tilted sideways with her hair parted around the spot were she had been bitten.

"Why?" she said, almost incoherently under her rapid breathing.

His eyes became clear and a cry of anguish escaped him. He flew to the other side of the room and buried his head into his hands.

"I'm sorry.." he muttered loud enough for her to hear.

She heard him, but did not repsoned to him. Her breathing was still fast and her mind was wizzing as she tried to understand what he'd just done.

"You should go," he muttered, looking back at her. His eyes were agonized.

"I'm very sorry."

Denthe's breathing slowly returned to normal and she rolled over onto her stomach beore pushing herself to her feet. Stumbling, she snatched her bag, her dagger, and staggered to the door. But before she left, she glared at Damian. 

"Devil spawn!" she spat.

Then, she left. Slamming the door as hard as she could behind her.

When Denthe made it back to her dorm, she stumbled into the bathroom, dropping her stuff just inside her dorm. Closing the bathroom door, she turned on the shower. When the water was nice and hit, she stipped of her clothes, being careful to avoid her neck. Then, she stepped intot he steaming water.

Damian kept floating into her mind's eye. But she pushed him away with deep loathing.

Damian groaned. Why? Why did she have to have the knife? Why did she smell and taste so good?

A moan escaped him as the sweet taste came back to his mind. It was like chocolate, something he had loved but no longer had a flavor for. But this chocolate was so good. He growled to himself and bit into his pillow.

While Denthe was in the shower, she just let the warm water seep over her naked skin. Allowing the blood to drain away. Her eyes were half closed as her head was bent under the current of the water. Then, they snapped open and her head up. "Vampire!" she whispered.

"Damian is a vampire."

A few hours later, Denthe laid on her bed, on her back as she looked up at the ceiling. Her eyelids were heavy with sleep before the lids covered her brown irises.

As Denthe slept, her dreams were marred with nightmares of bloodsucking demons. They took the shape of Damian, but his face was shadowed with glowing crimson eyes.

Waking up in the middle of the night, Denthe shot straight upright and screamed. Her brown his were wide with fear and she was covered in a cold sweat. Irregular breathing made her chest move rapidly.
