Smiling, Denthe turned towards him so he couldn't see what she was doing. Moving her pencil over the paper, she sketched out a european dragon stalking in the shadows of the branches above the deer. As she darked the lines and added shadows, she reached into her slingbag and pulled out a red coloured pencil. She used it to colour in the dragon. The tip was moving over the paper very lightly.

As she finished, Denthe had also coloured in the deer standing still in the snow. Now, two things stood out against a sea of black and white; the red dragon and the brown dear. Signing her name at the bottom, she turned it around to show Damian. "Done."

Denthe nodded. "The dragon represents a powerful hunter that stalks alone at night while the deer represents the fragile life of any one person. Basically, in my mind, you were the dragon and I am the deer," she said, using her finger to point to the two animals in the picture.

Denthe flashed a smile. "But since vampires aren't really suposed to exist, dragons are the perfect choice snce everybody know about them; and they are in most of the medieval legends."
