Violetta yanked back her arm, scared when she heard him say he only sucks souls out of animals. "Animals?!" She exclaimed, voice filled with pointless worry. "But why? They're so cute." Violetta said, a slight pout on her face as she thought of Sparkles, waiting obediently up in her room. "And they're so innocent." She added.

Lily looked around once more and sighed,"I think I'll just stick to talking to you,Midnight.",she said as she looked down at her cobra,which looked up at her at the mention of her name.

Pierenus heard a little shriek on one, secluded side of the room. A girl, by the sounds of it. Most definitely. Even if the half the males here dressed so lavishly, so prettily, it wasn't hard to determine genders thanks to the varying pitches between their voices. The lop-haired thing who'd commented on his feet was slowly arising, as if to emphasise a hidden might, but the satyr ignored him completely, delicately reaching the pair with careful, deerlike steps. The girl was looking distressed at a redhead who looked as if he'd been touching her arm.
"Please don't fight," the satyr edged in with that gentle, silky voice of his. He glanced at the girl - she was kinda pretty. "And don't worry about animals. They're eaten all the time, sweetheart, all over the world. Although munching on souls seems a little meaner than eating their flesh." He analyzed the redhead, unsure of whether he was good-willed or malicious. Better play it cool. "You seem interesting. What species are you?" |

"Species? I-I don't know." She stuttered, warily looking at Iliad, still holding her arm protectively against her chest. "I just have powers, I guess." Violetta said, letting a little spark emit from the tips of her fingers. "See? Electricity." A bit of pride was able to be detected in her voice, as Violetta let a small, sweet smile creep on to her face.

Pierenous let out a small, warm chuckle. His eyes narrowed even more, but glinted with friendliness. "I wasn't talking to you, darling," he said politely. "But it does mean I have to ask fewer questions in the very near future. You appear human, gifted with elemental powers. Fascinating." He searched for a chair, then let out a little airy sigh of disappointment. "I'd sit, but these legs don't give me a lot to work with. But yes, about your powers. My great-granny was a nymph who could make plants grow. Nothing quite like mastery over electricity, though." He shifted about again, and slowly, steadily, lowered himself on one of the chairs.
Frowning ever so slightly, his legs overlapped a few times, trying to get comfortable. Finally, he settled for a rigid posture that made his feet drag slightly. "I have some questions about this place. Is it an actual boarding school? Do we get our own rooms?"

Violetta blushed, embarrassed. "Oh." She said, looking down at her feet shyly. "Yeah, I think. I haven't seen my room yet, but they gave me keys and stuff." Violetta advised, trying to be helpful. "Are you boarding here too?" She asked, finally looking up from her feet.
Rocking back and forth on her heels, she felt slightly better now that she was around friendly people, besides Iliad, who still scared her silly with his talk about souls. It only helped slightly that Pierenous managed to make her feel somewhat better, but the outcome was small, and to her, Iliad still seemed like a monster than a human, or unhuman, being. |

Violetta turned to the girl, nearly jumping back at the sight of the snake. "Eep!" She shrieked, clinging onto Iliad's arm, the sudden fear making her grab at whatever was nearest to her. "Y-you have a snake on your shoulder!" She stuttered, still watching it warily and curiously.
Violetta wondered if the strange, but somewhat pretty girl purposely meant for the snake to be there, sorta like a pet. Like Sparkles. She thought, still thinking fondly and a bit obsessively about her beloved cat. |

Pierenous gave a little sigh. "It seems so," he answered. The girl radiated shyness, but not to the point where she would subtly retreat elsewhere (or become transparent completely, as one girl did to him once. Cheeky thing). Just still a little uneasy about the whole soul-consumption prospect, probably, and Pierenous didn't think lowly of her for it - should it be the case. "A tall vampire gave me two also, mumbled something about Room 677, and stalked off to deposit more keys, no doubt. I think my tools of destruction intimidated him." He tapped his menial 'horns' with a finger and a lopsided smile.
The satyr then patted his pocket, feeling a pair of metal teeth between the layers of fabric. At least he hadn't been pickpocketed. "My parents must have filled in a form for me. Oh, well. It shouldn't be too bad staying here, surrounded by fellow abnormalities." He offered a broad smile to her, all the while maintaining a light, but not overly cheery, tone of voice.
Pierenous happened to avert his gaze, until he double-glanced at another teenager - oh, this place was full of them - who appeared younger than he, and came to a stop beside him. A glistening, ebony cobra sat coiled like a scarf around her throat. Such trust! he thought, without betraying his bewilderment on his face. Then he noticed her crossed arms. Body language.... was she annoyed by him? Had he done something to offend her?
Pierenous dipped his head and shrunk his joyful smile, just in case. "Nice to meet you too, serpent-master," he said. "I thought you might be getting lonely over there."

(Sorry had to redo this post.)rnMidnight hissed at Pierenous,"Easy Midnight she whispered to her and began to stroke her with a finger,"I don't think Midnight likes you to much.",she said,then remembered to introduce herself,"I'm Lily,but I am usually called Shadow and of course this lovly cobra is Midnight.",she said as midnight hissed once again at Pierenous.

Waving slightly, Violetta smiled at Lily. "I'm Violetta." She said, cowering back as Midnight let out one of it's frightening hisses, a drawled ssssss. It seemed to be directed at Pierenous, who didn't seem to mind. "But you can call me Vy. A lot of people do." She added after some thought.
Gingerly, she reached out to touch Midnight, pulling back anxiously as the snake swiveled its head towards her in interest. "Is it poisonous?" Violetta asked, squeaking as it hissed at Pierenous once again.
