Taylor didn't bother with the bus anymore. They clustered too many people together for her tastes. "Maks, come on!" She yelled and her brother hopped out of the door and walked over to the pa.ssenger side. He opened the door to the shiny, blue convertible and hopped in. Taylor jumped over her side of the door and Maksis rolled his eyes. Taylor's seat belt snaked over her shoulder and Maksis grimaced. "You do know normal people aren't supposed to know about our powers?" He said sourly. Taylor chuckled and rubbed the spot on his head where he hid his panther ears. "Sure, kitty." She said which caused Maksis to scowl. She pulled out of their driveway and Maksis couldn't keep his scowl on his face.

"Time for the newbies again," He said and Taylor smiled, pulling the car into the School Parking lot. "Yup," She said, parked it, and hopped out. "Let's go greet them," She said.

[[Ohmai, i forgot to add Maks's power. He doesn't control ice, duh. He's a healer X3]]

Maksis watched the kids pile out of the bus. One girl slid and fell on her knee. He was up immedietly, but Taylor stuck her hand out. "Maks, you can't heal everyone's little wound," She said, rolling her eyes, but Maksis pushed her hand out of the way. No one wanted to be bleeding on the first day of school. He followed the girl as she walked briskly away. "Hello," He said, hesitant.

Taylor glared at him as he went but sighed in defeat. She hopped out of the car and stuck the key in her pocket. She decided she would make some friends. Even though they were in different grades, the cla.sses were still mixed together. She walked up to a girl that had pulled her wings in as she stepped off the bus. "Hello." She said as she approached. "I'm Taylor."

Before walking into the school he saw a little kitten alone by itself, it looked so tiny and scared. Jake waited for the others to get in the school then he walked over to the kitten. The baby male cat just calmly walked away, looking over it's shoulder every now and then to see if Jake was following it. Jake followed the kitten behind the school until it jumped up a boulder and layed there.
"Where's your family?" Jake asked in the kitten's language.
"Dead." it replied coldly
"Why what happened?"
"They got killed by humans."
"I'm so sorry, is there anything I can do?"
The kitten softened up by Jake's tone and the way he seemed to care. "I kinda need a place to stay."
"consider it done, you can live with me. Just wait for me here and I'll pick you up after school. By the way I never caught your name."
"Ruiko."

If someone heard that conversation it would sound like a bunch of mieows and this Jake was greatful for. No one would ever know what Jake said to any animal except animals in that species. Jake smiled to himself as he walked away from Ruiko.

Paradise stared at the too infront of her. She tried a smile, but knew she should hide that. She rubbed her knees a bit and said

"im fine.." She could feel herself blush again.

"Paradise.." She didn't really know what else to say. When she was by herself, she would always practice, so she wouldn't look like an idiot. But it never worked. She was just to painfully shy.  She kept glancing at the wings, trying not to look rude though.

(( this may be a stupid question and all but... are the wings visible to Paradise? If they aren't just ignore the last part hehe))

"I better go," Ash said, trying to ignore the glances she kept getting from Paradise. She flew to the doors, not caring if they noticed now. Flying felt pretty good. 

Paradise looked at her knee, and saw the blood trickling down her leg. She looked at him trying not to be a bother

"if you don't mind..." she said, while sticking one finger up her leg, wiping that one stream of blood off.

Taylor glanced down the hall. Maks was on his knees in front of the girl with the bleeding leg. She walked over, not wanting him to go too far like he's done before. She looked at the girl. "I'm Taylor, Maks's brother," She said to the girl before flicking her gaze back at Maks. He was staring at the wound intensely. He raised his hands that were glowing green and placed them just over the wound. His emerald eyes burned intensely. The wound began to scab up as he moved his hand over the wound. It stitched itself up quickly and Maks dropped his hands, sagging a little. Taylor helped him to his feet. There was no mark left on the knee. All trace of the wound was gone. "Maks, you went too far again." Taylor muttered, but Maks shook his head wearily.

Taylor looked at the girl before closing her eyes and whisking her hand out behind her. She grabbed the water bottle from her bag and held it to Maks's lips. He downed the bottle quickly and removed his weight from her arm. His stomach growled and he looked up at Paradise. "Well, your good as new," He said before sneaking a glance at Taylor. Her eyes were dissapproving and worried. He knew he went too far, but he couldn't help himself. He always went too far when healing and sometimes it cost him.

Paradise looked at Taylor

"Im Paradise....i think its my turn to ask if he's ok..." she said, hoping she didn't do something wrong.

Maksis was about to speak before Taylor cut him off. "He'll be fine. He just takes it too far sometimes. See, when he sees a human or animal in pain or hurt, he'll do his best to heal them. The way his healing works is that he transfers his energy into the person he's healing, that way the process of healing speeds up, but he is left with little energy. That is why he gets thirsty and hungry. Most of the time, he goes too far because its in his nature to heal and help those in need," She said, looking down at him with tender eyes.

"O..I, I'm sorry.." Paradise noticed that they were the only one's outside. "We should go inside..." she started walking away, but then looked back and said "thanks..." She forced a smile,and pushed the doors open inside.
