OOC: Hokai. Here goes. Chances are I'll be editing them here and there because I haven't really sat down and pondered hard over them. <:3
Name: Karmek Drivius
Age: His official age is 46, but his mind's age is unclear. For his species he is relitavely young - not exactly the middle-aged equivalent of a human's lifespan - and is around early 30s in human years.
Gender: Male
Egg: None, currently.
Rank: Eh? If matters concerning "Occupation"are arisen, Karmek is simply a thief.
Personality: Cunning, greedy, clever, sharp, steadfast (but has been known to descend into cowardice more than once). Karmek is an absolute chance-taker - if he's after something he desperately wants, he will risk all simply to acheive or gain, and frequently puts his life on the line. However, when cornered, he will betray almost anyone if his survival is threatened. Capture, however, is something he evades 97% of the time, which not only makes him untrustworthy but also an incredibly slippery character. Karmek almost never forges strong freindships with people, but has a deep respect for fellow tradesmen and, if proven, will defend those he devotes himself to. He will lie and cheat and steal, but mainly from those he has taken a disliking to or have proven themselves unworthy to him. He does not believe in fate, and despite being a magical creature himself, does not believe in the affects caused by enchantments, clas-sifying anything supernatural fake or a trick. More accurately, he trusts his instincts, rather than a stranger's word or fancy writing scribbled on some parchment.
Other: He has formed somewhat of an alliance with Caeregae, but sees her as a kind of aquaintance (or mount) instead of a proper friend, or at least, a partner.
Species: Y'altaq, of course.
The Y'altaq are a species of mammalian creatures that have almost moulded their entire existence around the business of trading, marketing and the like. Experts in merchandising, Y'altaq are valued specimens for their ability to make quick money and keeping secrets if bribed. However, they come with a few flaws that could quickly plummet a kingdom's thriving economy just as fast as it was formed - their vanity, greed, pride, and cowardice, not to mention their knack of switching the rules when displeased, and general maliciousness. A good, helpful Y'altaq is a rich, powerful Y'altaq. After they decided to completely devote almost their entire species to the ways of marketing, different clans and families were selected by leaders and authorities to help support their lands and organizations, either secretly to themselves or openly to the public. Y'altaq are happy to work for a single government or group, yet are sometimes difficult to keep in line when aroused. Those in power that have hired a group of Y'altaq and forgotten to look after them, pay them, or simply decide to dispose of them frequently have to deal with a swiftly-crumbling system if the ones who created their wealth are angered. Y'altaq are more than happy to support, but they are quite difficult to keep contented, and the slightest act of misjudgment, deliberate or not, could end in chaos, as they are also equally happy to punish those unable to fulfil their needs. Nevertheless, when independent or separated from the rest of their kind (as they are incredibly social) they are less effective when working alone, so loning Y'altaq are often, quite literally, left to fend for themselves. Survival can be difficult for single Y'altaq, and it is not unknown for them to mix with other species in order to survive, whether to support them with their fighting abilities or make the most of their famous talent for moneymaking.
They have a strict hierachial system and are famous for their tendancies to be aggressive when forcing dominance upon their families or groups. They are not naturally violent towards each other (in truth, being rather gentle and affectionate towards each other), and all Y'altaq know their places - but never let rowdy, boisterous members of their packs get away with being disobedient. They are carnivorous by nature but do resort to ominvorous behaviour if prey is scarce. They will eat almost anything edible, but their delicate, lightweight physical structure means that a large group and expert teamwork is required when dealing with large animals. Fully-grown adults can grow to be around 1m at shoulder length, and particularly large ones to grow to almost two meters long (tail included).
Looks: I'll do you guise an image soon. x
OOC: Edit later.
EDIT:
Name: Caeregae (kaii-reg)
Age: Official age 49, mind age around 30-49. Human approximation is unclear, but, like Karmek, is rather youthful for her species but still an experienced creature.
Gender: Female.
Egg: Currently none.
Rank: Has no real occupation, but serves as an as-sistant and sometimes the odd mount to Karmek.
Personality: Incredibly sensible, incredibly tough, steadfast, quite prickly and isolated but noble-hearted and warm when understood. She does not take instantly to strangers, preferring to observe their capability and strengths before making any real judgements. Caeregae analyzes people and their actions, keen to learn about others rather than show off her own abilities. Caeregae will not boast what she can do and others can't, won't make snide remarks or deliberately try to be awkward simply for her own amusement. She is co-operative and helpful, but dislikes being treated like a slave and does not take kindly to selfish people or those devoid of kindness. She will make efforts to avoid fights but will, without hesitation, battle against those who go against her beliefs and judgement without regret.
Other: Not really.
Species: Welsh Gryphon, or British Isle Gryphon/Western European Gryphon.
Caeregae is a member of the declining gryphon breed that migrated from the Middle East in the 13th century along with many others, West towards Europe and continued onwards until Ireland became the furthest country known to gryphonkind at the time. Unlike mid-Europe and farther East, the British Isles proved complex country for gryphons to survive, but Caeregae's family and a handful of others managed to thrive well enough. They are built like the average gryphon, but cold winters and hot summers proved a problem for the stirct eagle-lion balance of their physique. They moult out of a thicker feather coating which conceals almost all of the body during the colder months and resort to a lighter plumage during the hotter seasons. Lightweight, built for gliding over swooping hills rather than the rocky, hot outcroppings and deserts of their Middle Eastern ancestors. Originally and generally carnivorous, but with the largest known prey on the British Isles being deer, Caeraegae's breed frequently rely on scavenging, sometime slurking amongst human towns for garbage and wasted food. When not hunting land-animals, they have been known to catch fish on coastal areas and other water-based habitats. They have become slightly omnivorous too, sometimes resorting to natural fruits and seeds if their main food sources become scarce.
