Damn roosters. My first thought of the morning. Quite pleasant. I yawned, then looked at my bedside clock. 7:45. Oh crap. I got out of bed, showered and threw some clothes on. Grabbing my bookbag, I noticed my mom had left a folded note on my desk. I picked it up and stuffed it into my pocket, promising myself to read it later. And with that I was out the door. ~~~~~~ "Mornin' sunshine!" I reached down to scratch my dog, Brutus, behind the ears. He sneezed and rolled over, begging for a belly-rub, but I had to get to school. "Maybe later, bud," I called over my shoulder as I shut the front door behind me. ((Faith's posts are normal, Zale's are bolded. :3))

[So they start off knowing they're demis or not knowing? o-O 'Cause I'd like Isae to know.]

Buzz. Buzz. I slapped my alarm clock, sitting up with a jolt. Yawning, I got out of bed, and went to my dresser. Pride pricked me when I spotted the neatly folded clothes, crisp and clean. I chose a pair of black trousers, pairing it with a lavender button-up. Keeping them folded neatly, I placed them on my bed and headed to the bathroom for a shower. After showering, me, striving for perfection as usual, blow-dried my hair, combing and brushing it out before securing it with a black band. I scrubbed my teeth, got dressed, put on a hint of cologne, slipped into my shoes and picked up my bag. I grabbed an apple from the fridge, heading outside. It was a beautiful day, and I felt no need to rush, so I strolled along, lost in my thoughts. I arrived at my school, and I headed for homeroom, thinking not really about anything. Today is going to be a good day, I thought with a smile. ((I think that expresses his personality quite well. xD))

((Faith's dad was um.. The actual husband of Nyx. XDD Wiki says Erebus was basically the mist between Hades and Earth.. So maybe she could like, turn a bit of her body to shadows/mist for a little while? Like, nothing more than an arm or something. Zale's pa was Atlas. Atlas carried the world. Zale probably should be strong. XD))

Sighing I biked slowly, trying to delay my arrival at school. "Oh yeah dad," I muttered under her breath, swerving to avoid a car that had come too close to the 'bike only' lane. "I'm sure I'll adjust perfectly fine in a new school in the middle of the year. Yep, your argumentative, annoying daughter who just hates new things." Though all I wanted to do was ditch (and it wouldn't be the first time either), there was too much weighing on this day. Because finally, my dad had promised her, he'd tell me something of her mother. Not that it meant anything, but dad was so hopeful that I couldn't let him down, considering I already knew about my mother and her being a goddess. "And what have you done for me?" I asked outloud, pedaling into the school grounds and leaping over my bike gracefully. "High and mighty Goddess, really? Didn't stop those guys from beating me up, or bullying me." Grimacing I locked up her bike and grabbed my bag off the back of the bicycle, turning to head for the school doors, where students were already streaming in.

((That's a totally rad idea. Oh yeah. I just said rad.)) I turned my iPod on as I walked down the street. Nothing like some Linkin Park in the morning. As I hummed along, I noticed a stranger on a bike up ahead. Probably a new student. Wonder if she's going to be in any of my clas.ses. Soon she was off my mind when I spotted the school up ahead. Turning the volume down just a little, I smiled and nodded to all my friends. Turning the corner, I dodged some freshmen girls as they jabbered on about some boy and slid into my first block English room. I was quite early; the teacher wasn't even there yet. I shrugged to myself and continued humming along. ~~~~ Gasping, I finally made it to the school's grounds. I checked my watch as soon as I had caught my breath; 8:05. Twenty-five minutes early. I sighed and looked around, hoping to see someone I knew. ((...Faith's killing me. XD))

I didn’t really know what to do now. I was supposed to get in the shool, and after debating the consequences of skipping for a second, then third time, I trotted up the cheap cement stairs and into the worn lobby of the school, jostled and hustled by the shrieking students surrounding me. “Immature juveniles,” I grunted when one particularly made up girl swung by me in a mini mini skirt and high heels, compelte with a match /fake/ handbag. “Gosh, beauty queens here too?” I asked myself in fake wonderment, elbowing her quickly before disappearing into the crowd. That was the good thing about large groups of people. No one could complain about being trampled on without completely stopping the flow of traffic. And then they’d have larger things to worry about than ruffled hair if people got late to cla.ss. Grinning I headed for my first cla.ss, at least, what I was pretty sure was my first cla.ss, and settled into my seat (luckily they didn’t have a.ssigned seating), watching the teacher nervously. English, my schedule had said, and the staggering amount of books in his arms only indicated the same. Smirking I pulled out my english workbook and opened it up to a random page, doodling all over a grammar work sheet. “Screw grammar,” I said cheerfully, drawing a big troll over half of the page, said troll bashing the annoying terrible image of a couple of what seemed to be dancing letters that had already been in the book.

"Wouldn't do that if I were you" I took my earbuds out and looked at the girl sitting two seats down. "Last person to draw in one of those books was given a hundred-dollar fine. School rumor, of course. But I wouldn't want to take a chance." The girl was pretty, with dark hair and shining green eyes. I took this opportune moment before the cla.ss filed in to introduce myself properly. "I, my dear, am Zane Wolfe. I am only in ninth grade English because I am horrible at reading." I chuckled at this, even though it was true. ~~~~~ I gave up searching and headed for my first cla.ss, English. There were already two people in the room when I got there; Zale and a new kid. I smiled at the girl, determined not to scare another off. "Hi! I'm Faith. Pleased to meet you"

I raised an eyebrow. No doubt another one of those slick, city boys. "My dear?" I asked sarcastically, turning to look at him before going back to my coloring. Now the troll was a putrid vomit green. Suitable. It actually matched the cover of this book. "And whatever about the fine," I said with a shrug. "Teachers rarely catch me doing stuff I'm not supposed to. Years of perfection." Tapping my nose and smiling smugly I perked my head up again at the sound of another greeting. Did these kids have nothing better to do? I wasn't a social reject, but I was close enough to one. "Hi to you too," I said before my attention was diverted by a lost spider that had crawled up the leg of my desk and was currently lost in the middle of my text book, making a convenient eye for my half-finished troll. "Hey there buddy," I said, letting it cling to my finger before getting out of my chair. Unfortunately, the window was at the other side of the room and the teacher was going to come in any moment. Stuck between saving the little arachnid and getting berated by the staff on my first day I sighed and sat down again, perching the spider at the end of my desk. "Don't move," I muttered.

((Afternoon guys. I'm as.suming from your posts your charries are all in the same clas.s? xD)) I walked into clas.s with a minute to spare. Sitting in the desk closest to the window, in the corner, on the front row, I surveyed the others who were there. So far, I recognized none. Pulling out my schedule, I studied the paper, frowning at my next clas.s. My one and only non-AP clas.s. It killed a piece of me everytime to read that, knowing I'm not nearly as smart as I thought. Father is a greek god, the god of intelligence. Unfortunately for me, I only got half his genes, making me of the most extreme brilliance in English, Math, and anything to do with law. Then comes History. History, which I'm in basic clas.ses. How shameful. My other genes, come from mom, who was a pro athlete. "Oh, he's smart and plays sports" you may be thinking, but that sport is tennis. Tennis. Out of everything, I'm good at tennis? Sighing, I yank myself out of my thoughts to pay attention; clas.s has begun. ((I promise, he'll get out of his whole "I'm so smart yadda yadda" phase. I was just setting up that they won't have many clas.ses together, considering. After this post, I'll make him more...quiet and less cocky. xD))

((Hell yeah Froggie. XD Freshmen in English cla.ss; nothing better. Except maybe science. -cough-Uranus-cough-)) "Of course! Everyone's 'my dear' to me. Ain't that right Faith my dear?" I nudged Faith with my elbow, grinning. She turned to me and rolled her eyes. I laughed and turned back to the new girl. "So you gonna be introducin' yourself or what?" ~~~ "Zale!" Normally, that would've been something I'd say, but considering I had made a resolution to be as friendly as humanly possible, I had held my tounge. Zale looked up at me from his desk. "What? You're not the only one who can ask questions you know." ((...;3; short post))

"Not really," I muttered contritely, set on ignoring the two hyper-active, over-friendly kids. "You don't need to mixed up with me," I said softly, my eyes glancing the other way. Right. I couldn't exactly explain that two years ago I was even more messed up. The one who took drugs to get away from seeing the 'hallucinations'. Lucky for me, they were just real-life monsters that could actually take my head off. Not drive me insane. "But to put it simply, I'd be bad for your health," I said sweetly, throwing in a Twilight reference and smiling at the boy for good measure. [She's fun to role-play. 8U]
