"What the hell was that?!" Kyuu demanded, poking his head out of the box of Styrofoam chips that a new scroll had been delivered in earlier that day. He clutched onto the the sides of the box with tiny claws, the explosion having made the entire building shake.

Relen laughed nervously and took a step back from his cauldron, which was now overflowing slightly with purple liquid. His face and clothes looked slightly singed and there was a bit of the purple liquid dripping down his cheek. "I dunno," he said lightly.

Kyuu glared at him, not even going to say what he should say, before diving back into his new plaything. "Don't blame me if your face melts off."
