" bloodrose your in big trouble " bloodrose looked down as she looked at the meat given to her " sorry mama I didn't mean to leave I was just trying to find papa" firestorm looked at her pup as she gave her a small lick" I need you to go play but stay in the pack. I need to talk to shadow " bloodrose gave a small bark as she ran off to play with a small black and white pup. Firestorm walked to shadow who was laying on the rock " we need to leave shadow the were not safe here. The pack has enough food for the winter. You me the pups and our mates can leave and live on our own " 

    Shadow was surprised as she asked a simple,"Why?"

" the hunters are getting closer. "  firestorm looked down and simply nodded " the pack can fend for itsel. It's strong enough" she then looked into shadows eyes" so will you come " ( short )

    Shadow sighed and said,"But shouldn't we warn the pack?"

" they won't notice if I leave besides fall can take over for me if I'm gone to long" firestorm looked to bloodrose who was simply playing with shadows pup" we should leave after midnight to stay away from hunters. It's the safest way" firestorm licked her tail a bit and wondered for a bit " come get me when your ready to leave

    Shadow sighed and nodded before going over to play with her pup and her sister's.

Firestorm walked away her tail hung to the ground as she walked into the forest. Firestorm sat their on a stup as she Noticed a scent of hunters in the air " hunters!!!" She growled as she jumped of her stump back to the pack giving a shrill warning howl." Bloodrose" she yelled " get in the den now" bloodrose glanced over only to see her mother grabbing her and the pup she was playing with and running into the den." Mom what was that for" bloodrose rubbed her neck " we were....." Silence broke the cave as men with guns and dogs were walking close to the cave " be very quiet" firestorm gently said to sooth the frightened pups. The dogs picked up the sent as they got closer to the den digging their way inside. " the dogs found something " they said as they pointed their guns to the hole " sneak through the back entrance to shadows cave mommy will take care of this "  a tear ran down firestorms face at the thought of her never seeing her pup again. Firestorm jumped from the hole and onto one of the dogs digging her teeth into the dogs soft neck. The dog squirmed and yelped as it died. Firestorm then curled her lip as the humans began to back off. One aimed as he tried to shoot but firestorm jumped on him as she jumped back off running into the woods. She could her the barking of dogs and shots behind her as one hunter yelled " get that wolf"

    Shadow and her pup were sitting near the cave when the intruding creatures came and Shadow growled at one dog as it grabbed her pup in it's jaws and began adding pressure. "Mommy!",Moon cried as her side began to bleed and her mother responded in a flash of white teeth. The dog yelped and fell to the ground,dead. Digging a hole Shadow placed Moon inside and instructed,"Stay here." Then she heard another dog,but a bit to late. It pounced and pinned the she-wolf to the ground,slashing her throat with it's claws,splattering the ground with red. Yelping Shadow launched upward and landed on the dog,immediately snapping it's neck in her jaws and causing it to choke on its own blood before dieing. After watching the dog die with an evil smile Shadow attacked another and another,with different,even more terrifying,deaths each time and watched them suffer before they died. Then she snapped out of her killing induced trance and grabbed Moon before laying down and licking her wounds while the small pup tried to lick her mother's.
    Soon the two pups came up and Shadow replied sarcastically,"I hadn't noticed."

" but their chasing my mother shadow they might kill her" a tear ran down her face as she thought of her mother during and the hunters taking away her lifeless body. Firestorm ran until her legs wouldn't let her anymore she stumbled as the hunters got close enough " got you now wolf " he said pointing the gun between her eyes. Firestorm braced for impact but nothing happened. She opened her eyes to notice the Hunter on the ground bleeding and dead. Fire storm looked around more noticing the others fleeing. She looked beside her again noticing a large grizzly beside her. It was the bear that slammed her into the tree. Her two cubs nuzzled beside her. " thanks I owe you my life " the bears black eyes stared back as she gave a sharp growl " anytime wolf" she said as she stumbled off into the woods again with her cubs close behind 

    Shadow nodded and stood,grabbing her pup and the other before putting them on her back and running after the scent of her sister.

Firestorm walked back exhausted as she lay on the grass" I'm so tired " she whispered to herself " but I got to get to bloodrose " she stood again as she started walking towards the pack. She noticed the sent of her sister getting closer as she saw her black fur zoom through forest towards her " shadow is bloodrose ok " she barked at her as she was only a distance away

    Shadow stopped with a skid and nodded her head before the pups all peeked their heads out from behind her head.

No...... it's natural for me to act that way
