Charlotte walked towards the cafeteria, walking next to Bade with a little skip in her step. Happiness almost seemed to radiate off of her.

Jeez, Bade thought, watching Charlotte with both amazement and a bit of envy. How is she so happy? I mean, just standing next to her makes me feel... I dunno, warm? No, no... I don't want to be all corny and mushy. Bade grabbed Charlotte's hand when they got into the cafeteria, pulling lightly on it and pointing to the line like he was an eager little kid who wanted to see the sea lions at a zoo. "C'mon, there's the line!" he exclaimed, a bit more smiley and hyper now. Perhaps Charlotte had rubbed off on him...?

Charlotte chuckled, hand feeling only slightly clammy. "I'm in the mood for pancakes," she stated, looking at the food. "Think they have any Bade?" James sneezed, and fidgeted in his mother's arms.

Charlotte only nodded, grabbing a couple pancakes, and started to walk over to a table. She blinked back at Bade for a second, a little confused with her own thoughts, and then turned back around and sat down with James and her pancakes.

Bade walked over to the table Charlotte was sitting at, plopping down next to her and sighing. He propped his head up on the table using his arm and thought, which he had been doing a lot lately. Not just after Charlotte came, too; he'd been thinking a lot for a while now.

Charlotte glanced at James, who was reaching for more pancakes. She moved the plate away from him. "He shouldn't, but he does. He's constantly stealing food off my plate while I'm not looking." She glanced into James 'mouth when he yawned. "He's starting to get teeth."
