Charlotte snorted, and rolled her eyes. "You'd enjoy the view too much." But despite her teasing, she dug her hightops into the snow and dirt, and took off. Not long after, she could start smelling the salt in the air.

Bade smiled, then started jogging after Charlotte, clutching James to his chest. He wasn't sure why he was acting so...weird now, but he kind of liked the warm feeling he got when he held James. And when he was holding Charlotte, or just standing close to her, he felt a surge of emotion. Love, probably, but he couldn't be so sure. He didn't know a thing about anything.

( Well, Ontario, Newfoundland, Quebec, P.E.I, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Manitoba all have fair amount of trees. o3o But the only ones near oceans really, are Nova Scotia, PEI, Newfoundland, and New Brunswick. )

Charlotte skidded to a halt, grinning as she looked at the snow-covered beach. "Pretty," she mumbled, ignoring the soaking wet feeling in her shoes.

Bade walked up from behind Charlotte, then set a hand on her shoulder. "I agree," he said softly. "But it's not as pretty as you,"

( LOL. I've been to all of those places, and I live in Ontario. xD So, yeah. That's the only reason I knew they had trees. But where I live, there are no trees >__> )

Charlotte glanced up at him, a smile plastered softly on her lips. "You're sweet, Bade. And I love that." She glanced back at the gentle waves, eyes reflecting their beauty, but in a shade of scarlet that made it seem like tides of blood.

"Well, I love you," Bade said, smiling and mussing Charlotte's hair. "It's so amazing out here..."

Charlotte smiled a little, wrapping one arm around his waist. "You know what sucks?" she said quietly. "Some day, we're all gonna die. I wonder what heaven's like. Probably a beach like this; calm, quiet, but beautiful..." she drifted off.

Bade snorted. "Or it could not exist. And if not, it might not be all it's made up to be," he said, leaning against Charlotte a bit. James wasn't heavy, but he didn't like the unnatural weight in his arms.

( I know; I was home for lunch. xD )

Charlotte glanced up at him, smirking playfully. "You always have to burst my bubble, don't you?" she snorted. "The point is, I was saying that this was nice, and that I could easily spend forever just standing here." She rolled her eyes.

( To him at least. ;c )

"Right," Bade shook his head, hiding his smile. "I'm sorry for, um, bursting your bubble." He laughed.

"What's wrong?" Bade asked, his voice sounding a bit strangled. "I think this sort of touching moment usually only happens before something bad."

Charlotte deflated a little. Of course Bade would say something like that. "Nothing's wrong," she chuckled. 

( D: I'm so sorry. )

"Really?" Bade asked quietly, burying his face in Charlotte's hair. "I feel like you got really sad when I said what I did," he mumbled into her hair.

Charlotte only smiled. "I'm not sad, or mad, or whatever." she muttered. Her feet were freezing, and she couldn't feel her toes. "Why don't we head back now? I think my toes are purple or something. I can't feel them." She chuckled lightly. "And I'm sure James is cold."

James was too busy watching a squirrel to notice his mother's comment. His eyes flickered to another squirrel as soon as it moved. 

Bade sighed, and just continued walking, wondering why he always wanted to carry Charlotte bridal-style. He was starting to feel awkward when he carried Charlotte like that, like he was supposed to be carrying her bridal-style at one time, and only that time. After they got married...or something. Bade wasn't sure about marriage.
