Charlotte stumbled and fell, falling over the edge of the cliff. She grabbed the edge with both hands, her bag dropping onto the rocks below with a crack. She screamed. Charlotte hadn't expected the cliff to be that close. Wow, I really need to start thinking things through, don't I? Now I'll probably fall, or Bade will save me, and we'll get in some stupid-as.s arguement again. Then her hands started to slip. "SH!T!"

"No!" Bade ran faster, despite the fact that he was wheezing due to the fact that he smoked so much. She's probably dead on those rocks now. You know what? I'll just jump down, too, if she is. His breath caught, he stumbled, and he fell flat on his face. "Charlotte!" His shout was barely audible. "Damn, damn, damn!" He stood up, then began running again. ( Fall, fall, fall. >:D
Bade: "Don't fall, don't fall, don't fall! D:>"

Charlotte's one hand slipped off, and her heart raced. She pinched her eyes shut, and waited for the pain.

"Charlotte, you're still alive!" Bade gasped, grabbing her other hand. He was struggling to breathe correctly, and since he had just had a cigarette, his heart rate was much faster than needed. "Why would you try and kill yourself, you...you..." He coughed.

Charlotte's last hand on the cliff slipped, and they were tottering on the edge of the cliff. She didn't answer Bade's question.

Bade coughed, struggling to keep himself up. "No, no, I don't want you to die. Please, don't..." He bit his lip and pulled Charlotte back up the cliff, and he fell back, gasping when he hit the ground. He was still clutching Charlotte's hand tightly, and he began coughing.

Charlotte wrenched her hand out of Bade's and looked away from him. Tears were still fresh in her eyes, and she was shivering from fright.

After coughing several more times and having caught his breath, Bade sat up. "She...you...It's not what you think, Charlotte. She's lesbian." He coughed. "And a really old friend. When...we were younger, she used to sit on my lap and tell me what she wanted. Today, she told me she wanted Russell because he's, 'so cute.'" He swallowed a lungful of air. "I guess she's got an exception for an innocent-looking, scared-out-of-his-mind guy." He tried to smile, but ended up coughing again.

Finally, Charlotte found that she was able to speak. But barely. Her voice was soft, and hardly hearable, "Look Bade, I'm sorry about what I said earlier. I was just being stupid. I was lying. I hope you believe me, but if you don't.." she stiffened, "I know what I'll have to do." She still wouldn't look at him.
