"Charlotte, you don't have to worry about it." Bade looked down at the doctor. He didn't want to see her cry. "You know I'll be fine, so just don't worry. It's not like anyone's ever died from an infection." Russell coughed. "Ow!" Bade yanked his hand away from the doctor. "What the hell are you doing?" "Treating you hand. Now, the other doctor you visited asked for the badger that bit you to be searched for, and, well, there's no badgers in the woods. Except for a couple, but they're kind of far away. How far in the woods were you?" She looked up at Bade. "Ah, pretty far...?" Bade finally replied. Again, he jerked his hand away from her. "Ow, dammit! Stop!" He gritted his teeth. He mumbled under his breath as the doctor continued to work.

"Come on." Bade pulled her on to his lap, pecking her cheek lightly when he had her down. "I had to pull you over." he said, frowning. "That's not very good, is- damn!" He glared at the doctor. "What are you doing?" "Finishing up." She stood and dusted herself off. "Alright, I'll be seeing you tomorrow. In the infirmary, okay?" "Yeah, okay." Bade rolled his eyes, and the doctor left the cabin.

Charlotte wasn't looking at him; she was looking at where the doctor had just disappeared. She sniffled, "Oh, this is all my fault! I probably have some crazy disease and you're going to get it and you're going to die and..." She rambled on, pausing occasionally to sniffle.

Bade chuckled. "No, Charlotte," He pushed her hair away from her face. "you don't get infections from what bit you. You get infected if you leave the bite alone. Y'know, without treatment. And besides, humans don't get crazy diseases like that." He smiled.

"We're all a bunch of freaks, alright?" Bade frowned. "But I know that my hand didn't get infected because of you." He swayed a little. "Oh god." He placed a hand on his forehead, closing his eyes.

"I'm getting dizzy," Bade murmured. He opened his eyes, his jaw popping as he gritted his teeth. "But I'm fine." he said quickly. "I think I might need a bucket, though." "Eww." Russell frowned. "I'll get it!" Mell ran out of the room, leaving Bade, Charlotte, and Russell alone.

"Charlotte!" Bade whined, throwing his head back. "Just lay down next to me, okay? And I'd love it if you didn't make my head hurt with all this...loudness." He sprawled out on his bed, closing his eyes. "C'mon, Charlotte," He held his hand out for her again.

After a while, Bade opened his eyes. "Please?" He took her hand, pulling her close. "I-" "Here you go~!" Mell chucked a bucket at Bade, and it missed him completely. He glared at for a while. "Thanks. I'll use it when I need it." Bade muttered, and Mell grinned.

Charlotte frowned, and pulled her hand out of his. She sat at the edge of the bed, on the right side of his knees. She turned on the T.V. with a remote on the floor. She shifted her gaze to the screen.

Bade nodded slightly, turning to lay on his side. She hates herself now, doesn't she? He blinked, then sighed. I love her so much. More than she'd ever imagine. He closed his eyes, wanting sleep to come.

Charlotte was tihnking so hard, that she had closed her eyes. Eventually she had fallen asleep, and her head rested against the bed. She snored softly.
