Charlotte continued to dream, occasionally snuggling closer to Bade in her sleep.

Charlotte woke up abruptly. She blinked; her eyes adjusted to the light filtered through the window, but it wasn't much. It was still early in the morning. She twisted to see the clock. It read 3:54. She sighed, and wrapped her arms back around Bade. He was warm. He was her safe harbour. Nothing could touch her with him near. Literally.

Bade had taken the medicine around tweleve o'clock midnight, so he was still in a deep asleep at three. He didn't fidget, he didn't cough, he barely even twitched. It was like he had frozen until he turned over on his side, rewrapping his arms around Charlotte in his sleep.

"Eh. Who's awake?" Mell sat up. "S'that you Charlotte?"

Charlotte chuckled. "Yeah. What'd you and Russell do while we were asleep?" she muttered lightly. She kissed Bade on the cheek. He didn't move. She chuckled softly to herself, Well, it's nice to know I have the power to make someone who is insomniac go to sleep.

"Nothing." Russell mumbled. "But she tried to attack me a while ago, the crazy woman."

"I didn't attack you." Mell snorted. "I just...like, laid down on your bed."

"And then you attacked me." 

Bade smiled in his sleep, almost like he was listening to the conversation. But really, he was having a dream. Charlotte was there. Russell and Mell, too.

Mell chuckled. "Certainly, Charlotte." Russell squealed, then threw a pillow at Mell. "Hey, that's not nice." She fixed her hair quickly. The bottom part of her hair was black, and it looked invisible in what little light there was in the cabin.

"No, don't touch me!" Russell curled up, shaking. When Mell came closer, Russell hid under the covers. She pulled on the covers. "Ahhh! Baaa-a-a-ade!"

Bade's eyelids slitted. He mumbled something, still half-asleep.

"Charlotte, please help me!" Russell whined, pushing Mell back. "Ah, I hate this so much!"

Bade tried to twist around, but he ended up not moving an inch.

Russell's jaw dropped. "I've never done anything to you! Nor have I done anything for you, but still!" Mell huddled under the covers with him. "Ah, I hate you." he muttered, shoving Mell away. "I might act like a girl, but I'm still a boy."

"Yeah, yeah. Now lean." Mell leaned close, and Russell shoved her off his bed.

"G'night."

"Shut the hell up." Bade hissed. They stayed quiet.

Bade turned over, blinking at the darkness. "I hope she doesn't mind." he murmured to himself, getting out of bed and strolling outside. Once outside, Bade sat down, staring up at the sky. Really, there wasn't anything interesting about it, but that was only because he wasn't actually looking for something to interest him. The night sky was just something he liked to stare at.

Eventually, Bade lit a cigarette. It had only been a matter of time, but he hated smoking now. Smoke, even if it hadn't come from his cigarettes, killed Charlotte's child. He blamed himself for it. Who wouldn't?

Charlotte sat up, and watched Bade disappear outside. She wasn't visible in the dark cabin, but her white hair glowed silver in the dim moonlight, and her skin looked extra pale.

Josh chuckled and wrapped his arms around his knees. He was sitting in his cabin, having an interesting conversation with Alice. He was ignoring the sharp pains coming from his arm.

Bade coughed a few times, then flicked the ash off of his cigarette, frowning. "Well, I can't smoke it anymore." he said out loud, rubbing the cigarette into the dirt. "Might as well put it out." He lit another cigarette, taking a deep drag before letting the smoke fog up his vision. Eventually, he blinked to get it out of his eyes.

"Damn insomnia." Bade muttered, flicking his head to get his hair out of his face.
